have you ever wondered why some before-and-after photos look flawless before-and-after photos are everything it showcases your work it's what gets people to see what you're doing what the before looks like and what master looks like so it's really important to have really clean beautiful before-and-after photos in this video I'm going to show you what happens I use and how I edit in my pictures my name is Chris Lee and I'm the owner of bas brows I've been in the beauty industry for over eight years now four times certified microwaving artist and trainer I'm all about building a community where we can share our tips and tricks for Mike relating and our experience as business owners so this sounds like something for you make sure to hit that subscribe button Oh the first thing I'm gonna say do not use a filter there's so many other better ways to make your photos look flawless and a filter is not one of them even though we may be used to using filters it's just isn't going to show your micro bleeding work as well as doing what I'm about to show you the first thing we'll do is we'll look at all of our photos and determine which photos we want to put side-by-side so I like to keep all of my brow photos I know I'm going to use in my favorites so that they're easy to find there's a few apps that you'll need to download they're all free the first one is layout the layout is going to help you organize your photos so that they're side-by-side you can show a before and after or a before pre draw and after so that's what I'm going to go to first I'm going to click on the layout and I'm going to grab the two pictures that I want to show so for this one I'm going to show a before and after of this client so there's her before see right here it gives you different options of how you want to lay it out so if you had three pictures you wanted to share you could split it into three you could do side by side and it gives you as many options as you want I will choose the format so now you can edit the photos however you want now in this case I want to zoom in on just her eyes so that you can see the eyebrows and the eyes when you take your pictures you want to make sure that you're taking them the same direction so that when you have a side by side one isn't slanted or she's not looking the other way I actually will be posting a video on how to take photos for your clients before and after pictures okay so this looks pretty good I'm gonna zoom this one in just a little more there's the before and after and I like that side by side so I'm going to save it done then I want to go to these toon phase toon is another free app it will ask if you want to upgrade I promise you you do not need to make your clients look skinnier we're just trying to clean up the red around their eyebrows and any blemishes so that the picture looks pretty to look at when you post it anyway what I'm gonna do is up here in facetune I'm gonna go to the photos it gives me options you can open your photos so I'm going to open my photos and the most recent one was the one we just put side-by-side so here's her before and after and now what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna manipulate the photo a little bit without editing any of my work the first thing I like to do if you look down here there's a bunch of different options I always do details first so you'll go to the details and you'll click on that I like to make their eyes look really bright since the brows are framing the eyes you want them to really Sparkle zoom in and you just fill in the eyes now if you can already notice the difference between this eye and that eye it just sparkles a little more and she has a really pretty eyes so it's really good Homer some people will go over the brows or the lashes I think that's a little too much you don't want to completely change your photo you just want to highlight and accent their features to make it look to make your photo look a little more appealing okay so now I'm done I just brightened up her eyes I'm gonna click the arrow I'm sorry not the arrow I'm gonna click the checkmark the next thing I do is I want to get rid of the redness around her eyebrows and maybe just even out any of her skin tones if you scroll over you'll see tones click on tones and this bar will come down at the bottom it has tones picker erase and palate so what you want to do first is click on the picker this is where you're going to pick the color that's going to match their skin it will suggest colors for you if you just tap on the skin so if you notice you click on their skin a color will come up so you want to find a color that's going to look the best you can't have to play around with it a little okay let's try let's try that one and see how it looks so now I'm gonna click over the Tom's and Izu min on the area I'm going to correct and I'm gonna go around the eyebrow so first I might go under so that color is way too light so what you can do is you can use the eraser click on the eraser and just go back over your work okay so let's find a better color I'll go back to picker okay let's try this color so I click back on the tones i zoom in I'm gonna go right under her brow I'm gonna go around her brow I'm just kind of get rid of all that redness go to the other side and again just go around the brow and just even out the tone of the skin where it's red when you're done with that color and you want to choose a different color you can go back to picker you can also click on the palette and manipulate the color a little bit more so let's try that color and you could just swipe underneath your eyes to get rid of some of the darkness okay when you're done cleaning up the redness around their brows you can hit the checkmark in the top right hand corner and let's say someone has a pimple or blemish of some of some sort what you can do is down at the bottom there's a patch button if you click on the patch it will actually let you touch a part of the screen so I'm going to because she doesn't have a blemish I'm going to zoom in and click on her nose ring you want to put the circle right over there blemish or in this case for nose ring and then you move the other circle wherever the skin matches and then when you're done you just hit the checkmark now she doesn't have a nose ring if you ever want to undo something you can just go to the main screen and hit the back arrow now she has a nose ring again if you hit it by mistake you can hit the forward arrow now the nose ring is gone okay another thing you can do is you can smooth out the skin so sometimes there may be wrinkles around the under eyes right here or maybe there's like a deep wrinkle right in the middle of the brows so you hit on the smooth button I just use the first option the smooth not the double smoother right now again I would just zoom in and she really doesn't have any wrinkles but even if they have really large pores and you want to get rid of that you would just swipe over any area you want to smooth out you want to be careful not to do too much smoothing because then it will look fake like right now I feel like it's a little too much so I'm gonna race there and then when you're done with that you hit the checkmark now when you're ready to save it there is a little square with the arrow up here and you'll click on that and save to your camera roll I'm gonna go back to my home screen okay the next app I use is below five it's a free app but I believe you can pay to upgrade so that your logo is clear or transparent however you want to say it and it doesn't have a white background it's been so long so I can't remember but I don't think it's a lot I think it's like $1.99 so anyway I click on that app I go to photos and collages if it automatically pops up with their standard photos make sure to go to your camera roll or you could go to your albums and let's go to the picture we just edited I'm gonna click on that and then go to continue now me personally I like my pictures to have a little bit of a border so I just shrink my photo a little by pinching it and dragging it more to the center if you don't like there to be a border then you don't have to do that it actually goes up really clean if it just takes up the whole photo but for my Instagram there is a border so I'm gonna bring it in just a little bit now down here you can actually out whatever you want if you wanted to put before and after you can add text which that is pretty cool and then you could just put the four and then you click apply and now you have this text and you can move it wherever you want so let's say I wanted to put before and I wanted to change the font I can scroll down it shows you all different fonts so I'm just going to keep it on the one it came with apply now I need two more text and I want to put after apply again all the different fonts will show up at the bottom you can scroll through there's quite a few different fonts to choose from whatever font you choose just make it consistent so if I chose the SFU I'd regular make sure you do that for both the before and after and your other photos too because people will start to recognize your photos and this I love your photos if you wanted to make these bigger or smaller all you'd have to do is use your two fingers like this to make it bigger or smaller I like it small I don't want it to take over my picture so I'm gonna keep it fairly small and I'm putting them both in the bottom left hand corner again consistency and then apply now I'm gonna go to logo I think it's really important to put a watermark on all of your work when I originally got this app this was my logo and do you see how there's white behind it I didn't think it looked good so I'm just gonna click on to show you and that's as small as it goes and then I would have to put it in any corner I want and I didn't like that so I'm gonna go back I'm gonna X out I'm gonna go back to logo and you can see here where my logo is transparent now this looks a lot cleaner to shrink it again just use two fingers and you can shrink it to that size right there I put my logo on every picture in the bottom right hand corner again I want it to be the same for every photo and I like to make the color white so down here you can actually choose the color so if you click on the color wheel you can you know pick different colors and different shades of different colors so I'm just gonna go to white when I'm done shooting my color I'll click apply you can also adjust the size right here you can rotate it right here you can change the opacity so if you want to make it a little more transparent you can go like that so I know some people will put their watermark in the middle and they'll make it really big and then they will lower the opacity to maybe like 15 percent so that it's covering their entire photo I don't like to do that I to have it really small and in the right-hand corner but what I do is I change it to white and then I go to shout out so click on shadow and I'm going to click on the color wheel because I like to make my shadow to be in black so it just kind of helps it pop a little more so I picked black as my shadow I applied you can also same option opacity you can make it lighter that shadow you can learn it more I usually blur it just a little you can change the distance so if you let's see if I can move this you can make the distance further away or less I like it right in the middle because I feel like it helps it pop it's not too far away where there's this really awkward shadow I like it somewhere in the middle right about I like 50% I think that looks good again you can blur it so if you move your blur bar all the way it's about 20 I think that's a good number but if it was at 100% it'd be super light so I blur it to about 20 to 25% so that's what it looks like when it's blown up real big but again I'm gonna shrink it and put it in the right-hand corner and then apply man you've done with that so now it's saving and then you can go to Instagram I'm pretty sure everyone has an Instagram when you go to post the picture so let's just go to post and you pick the picture you want go to next now down here there are different filters please do not put a filter on it I'm telling you it really makes the picture look awkward and it just kind of blurs out your work so if you go to here I can't see the work as well as on the original if I were to go to say crema or slumber I mean the work just doesn't look as clear so I like it on the normal keep it on the normal and then go to edit you click on edit there's all these different options scroll all the way to the end and you'll see one that says sharpen I like to sharpen my photo a little so when I click on sharpen I'm just going to scroll this little bar to the right and as you can see you can really see those crisp strokes I don't do it all the way at 75 I normally go anywhere from 10 to about 25 it just makes those strokes look a little crisper done and then you go to next and now your photo is ready for Instagram or anywhere else you want to post it I hope this video can transform your before and after photos so if you like this video and want to see more make sure to hit this button right here the subscribe button right there and make sure to subscribe and you'll see more
