hey you guys today we're going to draw another bird what kind of bird a hummingbird yeah it's one of those small ones with really fast wings we hope you have a marker and some paper and you're going to follow along with us we're going to keep it nice and simple right for young artists how old are you eight yeah eight years old so we hope you're gonna have a lot of fun you ready to start yes all right let's do this we'll start by drawing her eye right in the middle of our paper towards the right so we're gonna draw a circle simple eye and then we're going to draw a smaller circle inside yes now we're going to color in the big circle but leave the little one white okay next let's draw her beak we're going to draw a sideways v that's really big it's gonna come out and then back in oh i saw that you drew eyelashes again all right so you draw a sideways v for beak i like i like it when you add the eyelashes it always makes them look cuter good that's perfect okay now we're going to draw another v on the right side but it's smaller to connect good now let's color in the beak now we're going to draw the top of her head we're going to start right here on her beak and we're going to draw a line that comes over and curves back up it's like an s line goes one way and then back the other way now we're going to draw the bottom of our head so we're going to start over here and we're going to draw a u-shape that comes down and back up whoa it's like a raindrop shape yeah it does look like a raindrop doesn't it down and then curve back up good i like it i like her head it looks really cute now we're going to draw her body so we're going to start right here and they have little little teeny bodies we're gonna draw a curve that starts on her neck and curves to the right i'm gonna curve it just a little bit further too there we go good okay now we're gonna draw her back and it's gonna also turn into her tail so we'll start right here on the back of her neck and we're gonna curve and connect and then curve down oh for the tail yeah so this is her tail down here and this is her back okay you did it now let's finish her tail we'll draw one more line and i started close at her body and then spread apart towards the bottom yeah and then right here we're gonna connect her tail good job okay now let's add her wings so we're gonna start right here on her back and we're gonna draw a diagonal line that comes out whoa that's kind of a long line huh she's got long strong wings okay and then we're going to curve we're going to start up here and curve back into her body it's a boat yeah looks like a boat shape good now let's make her 3d so let's draw a second wing we're going to draw another one that comes up a little higher and then we'll connect it back into her wing and we're only drawing potter part of this wing because it's overlapping behind this one okay now let's add the details on her body first let's draw her her little face so we're going to draw a line that connects from her beat to her eye and then we're going to draw a curve that comes down from our eye and connects to the bottom of her head yes next we're going to draw a line for her belly so start right here draw a curve that comes down and connects her belly yeah it looks like this line is connecting to her belly line yeah it does good job and then we're going to draw her little foot there's one foot yep we're going to draw another one let's draw that same shape right next to it and then we'll draw another line on the other side to connect it those are really simple shapes for her feet they're tucked up in her body yes okay now let's draw her feathers on her wing so right here we're going to draw another curve that comes down inside of her wing and it matches the outside yeah good okay and then we can do that same line on this wing it's gonna connect yeah good now we're going to draw the feathers on her wing so right here we're going to draw a line and we're going to keep going all the way down and it looks like a curved ladder or a fan it looks like a fan see how i turned yes just like that okay now we're gonna add the same those same lines up here on her second wing and i just put two lines that's all i had room for good now down here let's add two more feather lines for her tail there's one and if you want actually i'm gonna leave it just one you could add another one but i kind of ran out of room all right we finished drawing our hummingbird and she turned out really cute now we're missing one thing for a hummingbird what do they like the flowers they like flowers now this part we're going to fast forward but you guys can pause it at the end to match the same flowers that we draw or you can use your own creativity and draw your own flowers you ready fast forward yes all right all right heads we did it we finished our flowers and it turned out awesome i think it looks so much better that she looks like she's happy in the flowers yes now what do we need to do next color yeah we need to color her we're going to also fast forward this part but you can pause it at the end again to match the same color [Music] you did it hadley you finished coloring your hummingbird and she turned out super cute did you have fun yes brahmas yes now you guys composite to match the same color we used green for her body a really light bright green we also used a dark and light purple for her feathers and then we use this super bright pink for her face it's so great it's too bright we hope you had a lot of fun doing our hummingbirds yes you do we hope
