How To Draw A Cartoon Chewbacca

hey Art FRS we're glad you're with us what are we drawing today head Chewbacca yeah we're drawing a cute Chewbacca [Music] yes all right little girl you got your marker yes all right we hope you guys are going to follow along with us you have something to draw with and some paper in front of you we're using a Sharpie but you don't have to you can use anything you want we're also using two sheets of paper so that a marker won't go through to the table you ready to start yeah okay HS I'm so glad you decided to do a Chewbacca with me mhm we're going to make him cute though right okay first step we're going to start with our paper vertical and this is also called portrait and we're going to start by drawing a big u-shape an upside down u-shape right in the middle of our paper like that that's going to be the his head the top of his head okay right here yeah you probably scoot down a little bit there we go and then start there okay yeah that's a good spot big upside down down you all right keep going there we go you made it nice and safe nice and safe all right let's draw Chewbacca's eyes and we're going to just draw circles two circles right in the middle of our head good and then we're going to draw two more circles in the top right of each eye there we go and that's going to be the light reflecting in his eye then we're going to going to color in his eyes except for those little circles mhm good all right now let's draw his nose and we're going to draw an upside down triangle so oh what the cha doesn't have eyelashes well I guess it's a girl Chewbacca now I guess there had to be girl chacas too right yeah yeah okay let's keep going thanks for making yours cute even cuter I guess so we got a little line right we're going to do for the nose and we're going to draw a V for the upside down triangle and we can actually color that in so he has a dark nose then let's draw him making his noise that I don't know how to do it do you know how to no okay so we're going to draw a big kind of backwards C but it's going to come around like this and turn into uh yeah a raindrop or a jelly bean shape Jelly Bean jelly bean with a point jellying point shape yeah something like that there you go magical it's a magical shape good you did it now let's draw his teeth so let's draw two v's inside and then two upside down V's or a shapes on the bottom except for the and then we're going to then we're going to yeah except for the cross on the a right well we are crossing it and then then yeah we're going to connect him at the top and then also at the bottom that's for his teeth in between good he looks awesome she looks awesome now we're going to draw his tongue little curve inside good okay now let's draw the bottom part of his face or his chin and we're just going to do a zigzag line all the way across and connect and you can probably notice that I made the zigzag messy you can change it a little bit there we go he looks like a ghost now let's draw some of the fur on his face okay we're going to draw a big curve that comes over his eyes on both sides but it doesn't connect in the middle so you can start there and then it's kind of as for his eyebrows a little bit oh yes then let's draw a couple more so we're going to draw another one on each side that comes into the middle and then I'm going to going to do another two up above it good all right now let's draw let's do a couple more down here so I'm going to draw one that comes in or two like that and then another two over here on this side now it looks furry looks like a uh walking carpet fuz bucket all right okay now we got his body to do right so let's draw a cute little U shape that comes around so cute it's so cute and then back up so go all the way around that's for his belly belly belly good and then he's got his uh I think it's like um I don't know ammunition or something holding guns yeah it's yeah it's like his equipment he's got a belt that goes across his chest to make him safe make him safe then let's put one more line in the middle to divide it in half good and then all the way up and down his belt we're going to do little boxes or squares or rectangles yep go up and they cross over that line good that looks awesome okay let's give them some uh zigzag or texture on his belly so he looks like he's got furry belly furry belly he's so furry streamers okay now let's do his legs so we're going to do two curves one right here or two two on this side and then two on the other side so a total of four two for each leg two good and then we can do a little zigzag at the bottom for his feet C all right now let's draw his arms we're going to just draw a curve that comes out on this side and a curve on this side good job and then we can do a zigzag line back into his body good job heads you did awesome he looks super she looks super cute and we're going to pick out our colors so we can come back and color them okay yeah yeah we're going to use red a light gray a light brown a medium brown and then a dark brown but before we do that let's do a couple things let's color in his mouth so everything except for his teeth and his tongue okay okay and then we can also do little zigzags on the side of his on his arm okay his arms that are on the side of his body and then we could also do some down on his on his knees all right okay let's fast forward and then our art friends comp pause it at the end and then match what we did okay all right okay we went back over it with a black oil pastel to make the lines a little darker and we're going to take our the last step is we're going to take our light uh Brown and we're going to go back over on top of the dark brown and we can add little highlights in his fur good job ads you did awesome did you have fun yeah you promise yeah good what was your favorite part the belt the belt going across his chest yeah my favorite part was his mouth I really like his mouth cuz he looks like he's doing that noise just like that we hope you guys had a lot of fun drawing chaca with us remember your chaca doesn't have to look exactly like ours the important thing is to have fun yes to have fun we'll see you later friends
