HOW TO DOWNLOAD LANDSAT 8 IMAGE FROM USGS EARTH EXPLORER WEBSITE

in this video i'll show you how to download landsat tip file and mtl text file from usgs earth explorer website first of all go to your browser and search for usgs earth explorer then just click on the first link earthexplorer.uscs.gov if you have not already logged in then just login and if you have any issues regarding how to create your account then you can see the video that i have created on that then here you will see this feature in that click on address or place i want to search for daradoon so i'll just search that and click on show so i've got the latitude and longitude of the place then after i'll click on this add coordinates and here i can write my latitude and longitude and set in longitude to east then i'll just click on add so this is the point of interest and this is my region of interest now it is already set to polygon we'll just create polygon and i'll just delete this coordinate here i am creating a polygon to select my region of interest same way you will need to create a polygon and then after on the left side the scroll down will set the cloud cover here i'm setting it 0 to 30 percent you can set it as per your need so i'll set it just to zero to 32 then after click on data sets and scroll down and then as you can see here this landsat click on that plus icon then click on this landsat collection to level 2. just stick that checkbox landsat 8 oli c2 l2 then if you wish to add some additional criteria like you want to set the scene cover or cloud cover then you can do it from here landsat scene identifier these are the various criterias that you can add then landsat cloud cover i just don't want to add this i'll just go to the results then as you can see there are a number of lens sets that will be available for download you can see the date and then you can download even in the search criteria you can set the date by going to date range so i'll just show you once that i want to search for suppose say 30 2019 and till date 30 april 2020 then again i'll go to the results so now i'll just be shown the landsats from 2019 march 2019 to april 2020 this is the footprint once you see the footprint just check whether it covers your whole region of interest then after you can download that so just click on download and then click on this product options here i suggest download it one by one what you need to download is first of all this mtl.txt you will have to download this once that is downloaded then the next that you have download is b1 b2 b3 b4 b5 b6 and b7 these are the bends again i'll say that i suggest that you download all the bands separately that is one by one so this is how you can download the mtl.txt file and tip file of landsat from usgs earth explorer website thank you
