[Music] how to download and use a pdf viewer the first thing we need to do is open up our browser and then navigate to google.com once you're here you want to type in the following pdf reader and once you've typed that in hit enter you'll be given a list of search results and you're going to want to click on the first search result here called adobe acrobat reader dc download left click on it to open it all right once you've done that you should be on the following url which is https colon slash get to.adobe.com reader you should be on the download page for the adobe acrobat reader dc on the left hand side here you'll have optional offers which you can check mark to include in your download i'm not going to check any of these and then what you need to do is look to the right hand side here where you'll have two options for pdf readers the first one being adobe acrobat reader dc which is a free pdf viewer and on the bottom here you have adobe acrobat pro dc which is a trial version you're going to want to download the top version which is adobe acrobat reader dc and all you need to do is left click on this big blue button here to start the download and in just a moment your download will start and then your download will be transferred to your downloads folder all you need to do now is navigate to the bottom left hand corner and click the arrow here on your download and then click open once you've done that the installer will open and begin downloading and installing adobe acrobat reader dc i'll be back with you in just a few moments once this completes and there we go guys the installation for adobe acrobat reader dc has been completed now we're ready to view our pdf so before i exit the installer here i'm just going to uncheck launch adobe acrobat reader dc and then i'm going to click finish once you've done that you'll get a thank you message from adobe which says thank you and enjoy adobe acrobat reader dc i'm just going to minimize this now as we no longer need the browser and you should now be on your desktop on my desktop here i have a pdf titled what is web splaining so you also need to navigate to your pdf that you want to open with adobe acrobat reader dc and before you double click to open it just right click on the actual pdf and then go to properties make sure that in the properties in the general tab here it says opens with and then adobe acrobat reader dc if it doesn't say that all you need to do is left click on change here and then look for adobe acrobat reader dc and select it so for me it's already pre-selected for me if it wasn't for you just click apply and then okay all right so now you should be back on your desktop here and all you need to do to open up your pdf is to double click on it now and there we go adobe acrobat reader dc will boot up and then you're greeted with your pdf file and its contents as you can see this pdf file is just a short introduction regarding what my youtube channel is about and of course if it's your first time using adobe acrobat reader you'll be greeted with a notification giving you a tool so i'm just going to click x out of here and there we go guys that pretty much concludes this video if you found this video helpful be sure to give it a like comment down below and most importantly of all subscribe to support the channel i'll see you on the next video guys
