How to do an Ombre Powder Brow Top Up

[Music] hi everybody welcome to today's video on how to perfect your top ups one of my little tips is to use your white brow designer and just perfect any edging and symmetry that you want to improve along the edge of the brow so that you've got a nice outline [Music] this client's brows healed really really well she had a really nice amount of color retention [Music] but i do want to warm them up a little bit originally i used chocolate from the brow daddy gold collection and today i'm using berry blonde to add some depth to the brows but not darken them more to add warmth [Music] i think everybody tends to struggle with the tails of the brow and also the arch the tails are a really small area and the arch is round so implanting your pigment using whatever technique you're using can be a little bit fiddly due to the curvature of the area so during your initial appointment really make sure that if you feel like you need to go over the tails or the arch just one more time to ensure thorough retention then that's absolutely fine [Music] i also find that the fronts of my brows fade quite drastically by the time that they've healed not only because i create an ombre brow initially and the area is faded anyway but also because this area of the face tends to be oily due to the t-zone [Music] so when i get to the ombre section of the brow i do just run my needle along the new white edges just to make sure that my outline is really clear and then i can continue to perfect i do like to concentrate on the fronts of the brows to really ensure that there is enough color implanted to allow a really nice shape around the front of the brows that's clear to see and it's also going to last well [Music] you can see that i am creating a subtle but noticeable line along the bottom of the front of the brow and this is going to retain shape over the next few months even when the color itself fades the shape is still going to be there that definition is still going to be there [Music] so when i do my top ups i just go straight into shading i don't feel the need to implant a new outline but if you feel the need to do that then that's absolutely fine [Music] don't forget that you've already got saturation of color in that skin so when you use a new pigment even if you use the original color that you chose there's going to be color underneath that's going to increase that density once healed so i usually choose a lighter pigment personally i never like the brows to heal too dark especially on the top up because there's already color underneath [Music] so you can just see here that i'm ensuring that i'm working along those white edges [Music] by now your client has gone through the healing process and they can see what the healed results are like and they're going to trust you a lot more now so if you do feel like you need to create a heavier and more saturated ombre effect so that they do maintain more color at the front of the brows than last time then they're probably going to trust you now you can say they're going to look a little bit heavier today than last time but you'll retain more color by the time that you've healed and they'll probably be more accepting of that and okay with that [Music] you can see that i'm really concentrating on defining that bottom line in particular [Music] so [Music] sometimes i will just do one pass for a client's top up and sometimes i will do two it really depends on how well they've retained their pigment and also what results they're looking for [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] you can really see how lovely and warm the color berry blonde is and just how warm now these brows are in comparison to before i've just applied some secondary numbing to the right brow in order for me to do what i class as a perfection pass so that i can just really make sure that these brows are perfect and that they're going to last for a significant amount of time for my clients [Music] i just want to really make clear that these brows are not darker they are more saturated and a little bit more dense but they are not darker [Music] [Music] [Music] so i'm just carrying out my second and last pass now really ensuring that my tails are thoroughly implanted as well as the tops of my arches these are weak areas of mine and i just like to make sure that i have double checked absolutely everything and perfected every single little area [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] i do think that your healed results are really important and valuable it's an opportunity to inspect your areas of weakness and to improve your technique to ensure that those healed results continue to improve and get better and those areas of weakness tend to diminish [Music] so [Music] so [Music] [Music] and there we go they're finished they're perfect they're flawless i'm just applying some hydrogel from buff brows to really ensure that the area is soothed and cool and as comfortable as possible for my clients [Music] the color is nice and warm and therefore these eyebrows are going to heal lovely and neutral in color no silver or ashy tones whatsoever [Music]
