we're gonna look at methods that cut in concrete blocks the three methods imma bolster grinder to start with there's a nice flat sear this because if there's any even the blocks just gonna break in the wrong points put on another block what we're gonna do we're gonna cut a four inch cut which is one of those common cut a few corners cut for engine cut with all these methods and just see which one is best basically so what I do is just hook your tape on the end like that I'm looking for four inch 100 mil way I do it just make a mark like that and follow that through don't hit it too hard but hit hard enough to make an impression and market again on the other side nothing with knowing is most bolsters our 4 inches wide so you can just put on the end of the block and turn it like that which I'll give you you with I'll keep going around and you can go a bit harder now as you go around this block is quite old so a bit hard to cut and some blocks with you quite fresh increase good whack you should get a nice clean break and that's the hammer embossed if you've got any better sticking out like that something called scotch hammer which is this it's got the combs on the end you can replace and you can just use this there you go if the blocks are a bit fresher you probably won't get bit sticking out so much but cut a bit easier you've got to go all the way around the block for a clean cut next method now is the angle grinder the same I've got a resin short mark up you can use a pencil 100 mil or four inches give this grind will only cut through a depth of 70 mil we have to mark both sides if you've got a bigger triangle then leave behind me so there's no risk of me go through the leaf gradient make sure you've got your defenders top-1 moves off the plate down brings it down again these are all blocks so I'll take a bit more cutting bit more force on the lever site down to make sure a square in the cutter I just pull the handle is no trimming with that you compare all the cuts got this one which is the block splitter this one which is the hammer and bolster this one is a disc cutter if you've got a block splitter these win hands down every time obviously they are quite expensive and a bit to lug around so if you're doing small jobs how embosser is probably the quickest grinder even though this cuts and the best triangle would be the neatest and you can do angles easily with them they've all got the pros and cons but that's three different ways to cut block
