How to Create a folder using Command Prompt on Windows 10 and 11

hi everyone so now i'm going to show you how to create a folder using command prompt all you have to do is click on start and type in cmd so when you type in cmd it's going to show you the command prompt so one click on it and you should have the prompt open so now we can decide which drive we want to create a folder in so now i have this drive all right so i have this pc and i have two drives i have drive c and drive d well i want to create a folder in drive d so this one is drive d if i open it you know you'll notice that i have three folders but i'm going to create another folder right here with command prompt so now to access the drive what you need to do is you will need to type in the name of the drive so the name of the drive is d for example all right so d colon so it doesn't matter if you put a capital d or small d doesn't matter but i will stick with capitals so now should just type in d colon all right so d colon and press enter you will open the drive so now we are we have opened the drive now right here i can simply say mkdir space and the name of the folder so i'm going to call it the folder1 and i'm going to press enter nothing will come up here but it will show you another line when you press enter but if now if you look at the drive d you'll notice that we have created a folder called folder1 so now with this mkdir you can simply create as many folders as you as you want so now i can type in mkdir and i'm going to type in a couple of names so folder one all right space folder to space folder three so now if i press enter it will say subdirectory or file folder one already exists error occurred while processing folder one but now if we look at here it has created two more folders all right it didn't create this one because it was already there but has created two more folders so now what if we want to create a folder inside of this folder well it's really easy so now you type in cd space and then you type the name of the folder that you want to open so i want to open folder two all right so i'm going to type in folder to right here so cd space folder to if i press enter as universe we are in drive d and inside of folder two so to create a folder inside of this folder what you do is simply use the mk dir space and put a name and choose a name for your folder so i'm going to call it folder sub and if i press enter it will show you a new line nothing will happen here but now if you go here and if you look at the d drive so this is d drive and this is folder two we opened it and we have created the folder sub all right everyone so this is how you can create a folder using command prompt and if you have any questions please leave a comment below and i'll help you guys and don't forget to subscribe to my youtube channel and share my video with your friends alright everyone thank you for your support and i'll see you all later
