this video is going to show you how you can copy an iTunes playlist to a USB so that it can be played on another device if you're watching this video as a short tap on the thumbnail in the bottom right hand corner right now to see the full video if you're already watching the full video hold tight more details coming up shortly don't forget to like this video share it and subscribe to my channel doing these three things help us make more great videos for you so as I say this video is going to show you how you can copy your iTunes playlist to a USB stick or a hard drive this means you should be able to play it on another device now you do need to ensure that your device that you're going to plug this into does support the format that the music is in now if you've put it in to iTunes as an MP3 format then that shouldn't be a problem likewise a WMA format but if you've put it in as an apple format an m4a format then you might find can't support this and therefore it can't be played but it's what have you got to lose by giving it a try so what do we need to do well first of all let's plunk our USB device in now I'm going to use a USB stick you could use a USB hard drive if you wanted to but obviously in most cases a stick is going to be more convenient so what I'm going to do is I've I've made sure my stick is unplugged first of all I'm just going to come out of you of iTunes by clicking on the cross in the top right hand corner then open up a yellow folder and then go to this PC on the left here and just have a look under device and drivers make a note of what's there and then plug your USB stick in and what we're looking for is we're trying to find out what appears when we plug our USB stick in so there you go mine's come up USB drive D now make a note of whatever's just appeared on yours you're going to need it later on in this video so please make sure that you have made a note of it then move your mouse over it click click on the right Mouse button click on properties that's a left click and just make sure the file system shows FAT32 or X fat or fat if it shows something different like NTFS then you're going to need to reformat your drive and I've got loads of videos on here which show you how you can format your drive to FAT32 so have a look in the description of this video I'll put a link there there might be a link in the top right hand corner right now of this video which will take you to one of my videos that shows you how to reformat the drive so once you've confirmed that click on OK so let's just shut this window down let's just go across to there shut it down and then go back into iTunes so I haven't got an icon on my desktop so I'm going to click on the start button and iTunes and then click on iTunes when it appears on the start menu it might take a moment or so to appear because iTunes can be a bit slow on a PC and what we want to do is we want to find our playlist so on the left there there you go playlist so I've got a playlist there called my fav Music My Favorite Music okay so I left click once on it get my fav music or your playlist up on the screen and then just click on one of the tracks in the playlist and then click on edit just up there click on select all and then what we need to do is just move our Mouse over any one of the tracks and click the right Mouse button that's the button on the right not the left if you click the left you're going to muck it up so once you've clicked on the right Mouse button you should see this menu appear go down to copy left click copy and then what we need to do is we need to open up a yellow folder so if you can't see a yellow folder then just minimize iTunes and open up any yellow folder luck enough I've got a yellow folder at the bottom of the screen okay and then we need to go into this PC and then we need to double click on our extern final hard drive or pen drive which we made a note of earlier so that's mine and then find any blank area on there like enough mine's empty so there's loads of blank area and click on the right Mouse button again that's the button on the right hand side of the mouse if you're running Windows 11 then click on that little icon there if you're running Windows 10 then click on the word paste and hopefully it should now copy all those tracks across in your playlist to the pen drive or the hard drive and there you go there's all my tracks that were in my favorites there not very many admittedly but I should be able to now close this down by clicking on the cross in the top right hand corner let's just close iTunes down so I'm going to open it up again and close it down and then what we need to do is we need to properly eject the USB drive so if we've got an arrow down there click on the arrow and we're looking for this little icon just here this box just here a picture of the pen drive then click on the right Mouse button and then left click eject USB flash drive and hopefully you should get a message come up on the screen saying that you can now eject the drive if you haven't like mine hasn't then just go into the yellow folder have a look under this PC and see if your USB drive is still there if it's not then just unplug the USB drive is still there then what we're going to have to do is we're going to have to shut the PC down by clicking on the start button then the power button and then shut down wait for the computer to shut right down wait for all the fans to stop the lights to go out and then unplug your USB drive and you should then be able to plug it in to your device like your car stereo system or a Hi-Fi with a USB slot in it and those tracks should play that's if your system can play those particular file formats so it's just it's worth a try if it can't play it can't play it you might need to get a converter to convert them into the MP3 format which is the most common format and should be playable on virtually any device in the world so there you go I hope you like this guide and if you did please please please try and help support this channel have a look in the description of the video if you're in the market for a VPN a fire stick fire stick
