so Facebook recently announced their support for the new gltf 2.0 format after finding Sophia resources on it or on the internet for an easy way to get free deed ready Facebook model straight out of cinema 4d I decided to share this method which hasn't really been discussed much to start with you'll need a 3d model ready for export and Center for D to keep things simple I'm just going to connect and delete all the separate parts we just have one modal piece once you have your final model piece you simply export as normal through navigating to fail' export and I chose wavefront obj since the convertible use has support for it when converting to gltf 2.0 I found these settings work best for me however feel free to experiment a little you'll then need to go to this website it converts obj model to a gltf 2.0 ready format just drag and drop the file that you exported out of cinema 4d and use the obj model it will download a dot GLB file which is your converted facebook ready 3d post just making your post drag and drop the GLB file into the box and it will start making your 3d viewer and here is you can select different backgrounds for the post own here just hit publish when you're ready I'm certain that this quick method will be outdated very soon and replace with something better and there's still a few issues with some of the models are generated this way but it's great if you just want to create some quick exported models to share in your Facebook feed Maxon also recommend using this command line tool for converting 3d models I'll put a link down in the description for it if you want to experiment with that too
