do you want to know how to turn your map from this to this in just 16 years stick around and we will go step by step on how to get it done to help us out we will be playing as the king in prussia frederick the great or friedrich de grossa [Music] did you know he also composed music i always find it best to start with the end in mind and work our way backwards beginning with the character build we start with empire culture for two reasons there are more empire thiefs on the map than any culture and if the owner of the thief is the same culture as its people then they avoid the -3 loyalty hit this can help avoid rebellions but even more importantly it allows the thief to operate at a higher efficiency the second reason is the reduced garrison cost from the culture bonuses we will own many thieves and having a cheaper garrison will help rather than going for exact picks for the character setup it's more useful to look at what the end game frederick will look like and then pick options that fit within those guidelines for this playthrough we started with a sandbox game so that we can choose 50 years old turn death off and allow us to pick up extra attribute and focus points without worrying about dying from old age early on let's keep things simple we will max out one attribute and skill at a time rather than an exact build order for attributes we put up to eight points into endurance one into cunning and the rest into social up to ten in that order anything after that can go wherever you please for focus points this is an easy order to follow charm bow writing smithing two-handed scouting leadership athletics and the rest can go wherever i also like to put one point in a crossball at some point to get the reload perk which works for bow reload speed as well by following this build we can achieve a party size of nearly 500 for our main and 250 for each companion-led party that means our personal army could field upwards of 1500 troops without calling other nobles it's incredible and by having a good steward companion our wages were reduced from 6 000 per day to less than 3 000 which really adds up over time there are a ton of perks to go through and it would take forever to cover all of them so i'll display all the picks for each skill so you can see them but i'm only going to talk about the most important ones and explain why they're picked starting with two-handed perks 25 woodchopper is important to break shields during sieges 50 on the edge for swing speed stacking 100 shield breaker to pair with level 25 perk for level 175 i went with hope for the plus 5 party size but terror would have been a better pick since we get lots of two-handed kills and damaging morale helps 200 thick hides for plus 5 hit points for both our main character and our troops is huge as more hp means less losses 225 vandal gives armor reduction for all attacks not just melee which also helps our bow bow level 25 dead aim head shots are key to getting high kills during sieges and this perk guarantees a kill at most every range 75 rapid fire this increases reload speed which will increase our kill potential level 100 merry men we'd pick this for the plus five party size which stacks nicely with other party increased perks level 175 skirmish phase master this decreases incoming projectile damage by 10 percent which is huge when we have late game armor writing level 75 nomadic traditions increases campaign map movement speed level 100 sweeping wins also increases campaign movement speed but also our mounts top speed level 175 riding horde is key to getting trade 125 fast by having infinite storage space after buying lots of pack animals and trading everything a town has for sale level 225 mounted patrols pairs with the scouting perk which will allow us to keep prisoners forever athletics level 75 having going makes a huge difference for passing chat checks when recruiting nobles into our kingdom and increases party size level 175 healthy citizens gives us plus one endurance which is op level 200 strong gives plus one vigor which is also nice level 250 ignore pain increases armor by 10 while on foot and paired with late game armor makes a huge difference for survivability level 275 mighty blow gives tons of hp making us much harder to kill and allowing us to get more kills per battle smithing level 50 and 75 we take curious smelter and curious smith to increase the parts unlock rate as we make our main character the primary smelter and crafter everyone else in the party will help refine we also take bonus roll perks like 100 experience smith level 200 master smith and level 275 legendary smith level 150 vigorous smith and 225 enduring smith rop giving more attribute points level 250 sharpened edge is taken because we mostly use swing damage for our weapons and this perk gives extra damage when crafting these types scouting level 25 should be day traveler for daytime movement speed since it's daytime for 20 hours per day and night time for only 4 hours per day level 75 desert born to help during asteroid campaigns with less desert speed penalty level 100 force march for more movement speed level 125 tracker for chasing down enemy parties giving us an extra movement speed bonus on the campaign map level 175 beast whisperer to get rear mounts level 225 keen sight which is the second half of the writing perk to keep prisoners forever tactics level 75 hoard leader for the plus 10 party size i put points into tactics because i needed to put them somewhere but to be honest these perks are not important during this campaign roguery the only important perk for us to have here is level 75 in best light which reduces village recovery time after being raided which can get villages back up and running in a much shorter time saving several days charm these perks were changed halfway through this playthrough so we will go over only the new perks in 1.7.0 level 50 warlord increases influence gain from battles which is massive for us since we need tons of influence to vote against our idiotic nobles level 75 meaningful favors helps a lot with recruiting nobles into the kingdom since we get lots of double chat checks level 200 natural leader this perk is insane because it reduces the chat passes needed from 4 down to 3 for recruiting other nobles but we still get 4 chances to recruit them level 225 parade increases loyalty of a thief while waiting inside which helps to stabilize them quickly while we wait for our troops to heal up after battle level 275 immortal charm gives free influence each day and helps avoiding bad wars that nobles vote for leadership level 25 combat tips is taken specifically for the increased recruitment level of the same culture which helps replenish losses at a significantly greater rate level 50 stout defenders specifically for the increased prisoner recruitment for higher tier troops because we only want to recruit tier 5 and tier 6 units level 100 loyalty and honor to help keep our units in battle as our army was almost exclusively tier 5 in tier 6 and also the plus 30 prisoner conversion rate level 125 presence pairs well with the charm perk to help stabilize towns while we heal our troops level 175 uplifting spirits for the plus 10 party size level 200 lead by example for the increased recruitment rate of melee troops level 225 trusted commander for the increased prisoner rate for ranged troops level 250 talent magnet for the extra party allowing us to field four companion parties which is essentially an extra 250 troops for a mid game army level 275 ultimate leader to help increase party size for our party as well as our companion parties trade we literally only care about 125 artisan community here allowing us to farm renown very quickly and reach clanter 4 and above within a few years from the start now we need to cover the intelligence skills and since we didn't put points here we will need to hire companions and use family members to cover these we were lucky to find a great wife in sora who will handle stewart for us we got her up to eight intelligence because we pumped everything into it level 25 frugal for the party wage reduction level 75 sweatshops for the plus 20 siege engine build speed level 100 efficient campaigner for 25 troop wage reduction while in an army level 200 contractors to decrease mercenary wages by 25 level 250 master of warcraft for 25 less wages during sieges level 275 price of loyalty for more wage reduction medicine 150 pristine streets for the plus 20 healing while in a town since we wait often to stabilize towns and healing wounded troops the perks in medicine aren't amazing but the skill itself was key as higher medicine allowed us to convert deaths into wounded troops which meant less time recruiting after battles engineering engineering is pretty weak in general so the perks aren't really a big deal but level 75 military planner is huge giving plus 50 more ranged ammo for all our troops which also includes our main character let's also go over companions that we choose to lead our parties we only took companions with high intelligence and pumped everything into steward first then medicine second this allowed us to field large personal armies from stuart and keep them alive through higher medicine so we have our setup we know where to put attribute and focus points as they come in and which perks to choose as they are unlocked now all that's left is to get after it the biggest roadblock to owning the world is starting our own kingdom which unlocks at clancher four we need 900 renown in total which can take a while in the early game renowned gain is based on unit kills and relative strength of your party versus the enemies party my personal favorite is to fight large groups of bandits from horseback with a bow and no troops in our personal party looters can be a great start but desert bandits provide the best bang for your buck we can bait bandits into chasing us and round up several groups before engaging which will increase the renowned gains since the balance of power is even more in the enemy's favor within 10 days or so we can easily achieve clan tier 1 which means we can become a mercenary we will get even more money for defeating bandits that we were already planning on killing anyways clearing hideouts can also help some as it will give us some scouting charm and combat xp once we have thirty to forty thousand dnr's saved up which won't take long we can start hiring troops into our party and begin smithing the goal here is to unlock a few higher tier parts quickly so we can have a good weapon to fight with and to mass-produce two-handed swords or pull arms to make millions of dinars quickly we also start the trade grind in order to get to 125 we will easily have level 175 riding horde by this point which means we can buy all mounts and pack animals for infinite cargo space we can stop at each town look for crafting orders to complete buy all the cheap wares and sell the expensive ones in this playthrough though it only took three towns to go from level 1 to level 125 trade because we could hold so many horses and trade goods at once next we need to buy up to 4 workshops in order to get plus 4 renown per day from the perk by the end of year 1 we reach clan tier 3 with 364 renown level 19 for our main character and 713 000 dinars from trading smithing and destroying bandits at this point the priorities shift slightly we still need to gain renown as fast as possible but we also need to focus on growing the bank account balance up to 6 million dinars hiring companions to run parties find a spouse and look for thiefs that are easy prey for renown continuing to hunt bandits gets boring so i recommend hunting minor clans instead be sure to ignore the ones who are mercenaries for other kingdoms already we can also aim for becoming the tournament champion in this case it took 40 wins in total which is 120 renown on its own and the plus one renown per day as long as we stay the tournament champion earning dinars is simply a matter of completing crafting orders and selling weapons at each town we stop at and since we are already going town to town be on the lookout for prison break opportunities this can help raise relations and earn a ton of xp for charm and rotary when it comes to finding a spouse and companions to hire i prefer to find ones with high intelligence we need a good steward surgeon and engineer but also need high steward and medicine for the ones leading our companion parties the final point looking for an easy thief to take can be difficult since the ai is horrendous at sieges in this case we found sargo an easy target but ended up taking a ballista bolt to the face ouch not long after we found the perfect target the northern and southern empires had been at war for months at this point and lycharon was recently taken meaning their garrison and militia were very weak we can't declare war diplomatically since we aren't a kingdom yet so we ambush a weak party and remove their troops from the area and take the town before starting a kingdom it's advised to sue for peace since it will cost a one-time payment rather than daily payments and costing influence the recent battles gave us just enough to reach clan tier four just shortly after two years now the priority shifts dramatically the most important thing to do now is farm influence and pass as many good policies as possible here is a list of my top 10 for this specific playthrough after these 10 we can go further and pass more but these are the critical ones in order of importance we want influence gained policies first then loyalty gain then security and finally prosperity game we will need a lot of influence to pass more policies vote for wars and peace and avoid bad votes from other nobles so these are key the rest are helpful for turning a thief into a literal gold mine dramatically increasing their efficiency when it comes to farming influence the easiest way is through battle it's virtually identical to farming renown which we know how to do very well at this point once we get most of the top 10 policies we need to switch into world conquest mode time to start painting the map at this point it's a matter of expanding as quickly as possible while also avoiding catastrophic losses the main campaign map in bannerlord really sucks for telling the story for how an empire expands so i spent over 25 hours creating one from scratch with custom animations in a colored border that moves with each conquest here are the five different event animations that will pop up through our journey to own the world war declaration peace declaration sieging a fee defending a fee recruiting or promoting a new clan [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Applause] so [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] is [Music] yes [Music] [Music] is [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] so [Music] okay [Music] it took just over 16 years to complete this world conquest but i can say with certainty that there's plenty of room for improvement let's go over these so we can improve our next attempt we should have spent less focus on our main character with scouting and let a companion handle it since we didn't even get 225 until very late in the campaign when it didn't even matter anymore instead we can focus on a governor that can get minus 95 escape chance for prisoners in that thief which would free up the attribute points for other things on our main it's probably better not to wait until plan tier 4 to start taking our first thief we could easily take one and sue for peace then continue farming renown by depositing troops into the garrison as easy targets present themselves we could take more towns and castles we could have been less reliant on companion only armies at the start and recruit other nobles into our army as soon as we recruit them into the kingdom this would have sped up conquest a lot since we stopped frequently to refill troops for our companions i think we spent too much time releasing nobles after battle to try and improve relations promoting companions proved to be much more versatile than expected they have less clans to start with which means they field less troops but we could easily promote more of them to make up for it and match the cultures better which leads to significantly more efficient thief utilization due to higher loyalty on a side note piggybacking off this point if we no longer care about recruiting nobles then relationship gain is irrelevant which makes becoming a vassal an option we can accumulate thieves quickly leave the kingdom with those thieves then sue for peace right afterwards i'm not sure if this would speed things up but it's possible that it could i could have done a much better job commanding armies in the open field in the early and mid game i've done a ton of research on unit formations and commands recently and i can say for certain that we would have done a much better job leading armies into battle saving more troops spending less time in peace and needing to recruit less troops i should have been more intentional and forceful about wars meaning we are aggressive about stopping wars that are distracting and staying in wars with someone once they have already been beaten down we could be more intentional and forceful about wars meaning we could be more aggressive about stopping wars that are going to be a distraction and staying in a war with somebody that we've already beaten down the assarai is a perfect example we completely destroyed them in the first half of the war took half of their kingdom but then accepted a piece and allowed them to regroup which made the second war much longer than if we had just continued the first and took them out completely we should have been more strategic with recruiting nobles in regards to which feasts they have there were times where several kingdoms declared war on us because we had feasts bordering their kingdom instead we should have focused on one corner of the map and expanded in a single direction to curtail multiple front wars it's unavoidable in the late game but the mid game it could have been avoided and finally we should have spent less time defending multiple fronts if we lose a thief on the opposite side of the map let it go the ai rarely pushes in to take in multiple thiefs and the time spent traveling to take it back could have easily been spent taking two or three more enemy thiefs where we were pushing which leads to a greater efficiency we would still defend thieves within a few hours ride though if you haven't had a chance to watch it yet you can find the full playlist for the world conquest right here don't worry each episode is highly edited and only covers the most important events and tips smash that like button before you leave and i'll see you on the next one
