How to Combine Kick and Twitch Chat in OBS Studio

hey guys it's techcran here in today's video I'm going to teach you how to combine your YouTube chat twitch chat and even kick chat all together in one place in OBS that is right if you guys and I know I did a video a while back how to multi-stream in OBS for free without having to use restream which of course have that video linked down below but a lot of questions I got after making that video is how can I combine my chats into one place and today I want to answer that exact question that isn't just a simple widget but an actual full Ballout solution so let's get into it okay so once you're in OBS you're always going to see you have your new plugin of course you can have everything here just normal and what you want to do to actually add your chat into actually OBS we're gonna actually go to the docs and go to custom browser doc now what we're going to do here is go get our pop out link for our kick chat once you're on your Kik dashboard what you want to do is actually click the three dots here on your chat click pop out chat and what we want to do is click on the actual link up here and copy this onto our dashboard now what you want to do with this link is go back into your OBS go to the URL piss that in there and then type of the word kick which is this kind of identifier for the name and you want to click apply what this is going to do is add your kick chat into Ops and what you want to do before you like added make sure you have lock deck unlocked so it's like means it's not checked and what we're going to do with this is we're going to literally just drag it into our side over here once it closes so we can kind of now place this on in here so you can see I just placed it down like that you just gotta find a sweet spot and then we want to just drag this to a side so that's how you add the first chat now keep in mind it's not going to be like a perfect looking one-on-one Chad and the good thing about this is we're gonna actually move this and make this smaller so now that we got the first chat installed what we want to do is add another custom browser dock then we of course want to go to our twitch dashboard now the same rule apply what we do is click the three dots here click uh pop out chat and copy link here now this link is a little bit more different so what you're going to do now is take this link and actually type up the word twitch and then you want to course paste that link in here and apply now what it's going to do with this one this one's like might have to sign in so you have to sign into your uh twitch for me I've already signed into it a little while ago so it'll just automatically added it but anyway you can do this of course the same rule apply you want to just place this on in here somewhere and if it does act weird what you do want to do is Click lock and unlock again because it's acting silly sometimes and when it's kind of find a spot to figure out where it's going to go so right here we're going to place that there and what we're going to do is just move this to our side and the same rules apply to this we can kind of just move this on over however we want for me I'm not going to have my gameplay that big so I'll just do that and with that we added our twitch chat and also kick chat into our OBS and of course you can mess around with it however you like so that way you can see it so if you're not someone who observes their like streams and see how it looks then you just do that but what you can do honestly is like play something on the side on a monitor and stuff now of course it's going to be the same rule applied when you actually add a YouTube chat you just add the YouTube chat and then just pasting the link on all that jazz and you'll be good to go but that's a pretty good look for actually just combining your chats now there isn't like a big way to mesh all the chats into one the only way to do this is with votrex live which is actually kind of like you know the chat widget you got to do your stream it does that but you can't have it as a actual source that you can place like on a monitor and stuff like that they actually observe for yourself so this is the only real method right now that actually just combine your chats into one point place that way it's easy to look through and honestly this alone is pretty good like you'll be able to see chat whatever comes in as long as you're not getting blasted like the big streamers with consistent messages you'll be fine you know what I'm saying but if you guys did find this video helpful here today make sure
