hi there my name is Lawrence and in today's tutorial I'm going to show you how to clear your cash from Windows clearing your computer's cash will allow your PC to run faster and will improve the overall performance of your computer that way you can run your favorite applications without any issues to get started go into the Windows start bar and type in run and click on the run application to open it up now in the run application type in prefet and click on the okay button a permission confirmation window will open click on the continue button a Windows Explorer window will open up displaying files in the prefetch folder this folder contains files stored by programs that are used during startup select all of the files and folders and delete them all now that we've performed this step the performance of your computer will now be enhan enhanced for the next step we're going to go into the Windows start bar again and type in run and open up the run application in the run application type in temp and click on the okay button a permission confirmation window will open click on the continue button a Windows Explorer window will open displaying temporary files that are currently stored on your computer the temp folder is used by many applications and it's used to store temporary files by deleting these files you're able to free up storage and increase your computer's performance now select all of these files by holding down controll and a once all of these files are selected click on the delete button for the next step we're going to go into the Windows start bar again and type in run and open up the run application in the run application type in percentage temp percentage and click on the okay button a permission confirmation window will open click on the continue button a Windows Explorer window will open displaying another location where temporary files are stored within your computer the files within this folder are not needed and they're automatically created by the applications on your computer now select all of these files by holding down control+ a once all of these files are selected click on the delete button if some of the files are currently in use by a running application then you may not be able to delete them this is totally fine and you can skip deleting them now for the final step of deleting the cache and junk on your computer you'll want to go into the Windows start bar again and type in run and open up the run application in the run application type in clean MGR and click on the okay button the disk cleanup dialogue window will now open up if you have more than one disk drive in your computer you'll be asked to select the disc drive the C drive is the standard disc drive that is used on computers for storing cache and junk files so feel free to select that disc drive if that window comes up from this window you'll want to select all of the options that are displayed as you can see we can clean up things such as temporary internet files recycle bin temporary files thumbnails and much more once you've selected all of these options click on the cleanup system files button and click on the okay button now all of the junk files on your computer will be deleted and the performance of your computer will be improved thank you for watching this video if you liked it please give it a thumbs up and if you'd like to see more videos like this then please subscribe
