HOW TO CLEAN ANTIQUE BOTTLES! The Easy Way! Remove Stuck On Stains!

hey guys so today I got a bottle cleaning video for you guys now I know I've been asked quite a bit for people on YouTube and just in general people that see my collection how I clean bottles so I finally have time now with all the stuff going on and I can finally make a video for you guys I just start off though just take a look at the spot really quick this video is not for a hard water damage like sickness all that cloudiness on your ball you need a tumble bottles for that as you can see all that cloudiness this is a non tumble version which I'll get your ball nice and clean can all the gunk out of it but it will not get all that sickness off your glutes need a tumbler for that so going from there and now that that's cleared up there's a few different stains on bottles that I see all the time when people try to display them that they can't get out so the first one this guy right here if you look at it full of rust stains now I free cleaned all these bottles so I forgotten all that the outside all is clean and I've tried to get whatever I can from the out inside sorry but you can see all the rust stain it just does not want to come off so that's one of the stains that this method definitely works well for also when you have a bottle that has oil stains that's one of the worst you can't get these off and again tried my best to get everything off here but again stuck on really sucks there's also a classic burnt on gink from dump burnings all the charred stuff that sticks on the bottom air sticks on the side of your bottle on the inside you can't get out there's also if you have a surface bottle or in the water you find has much algae and ink on it as you can see I've tried my best to get everything off here you can see the scrape marks but again today my best tries I can't get it off and also you have when you have the bigger bottles like this again the rust stains and said the bigger bottles that you can't get off everything else is nice and nice and clean but you have those few little stains you can't get off so what I use it's this stuff right here it's called super clean it is a degreaser actually and if you look on it it has the corrosive sign on it so any pretty much anything that you see that has that corrosive sign is pretty much good for getting getting stuff off your bottles reason why I use this one is because it is biodegradable that is why I use this once about 20 bucks or so at the hardware store this will ask me almost two months or so with all the balls I'm cleaning so if anyone has just a few balls it's a really cheap method 20 bucks whether you're Walmart Canadian Tire pick that up so I'll show you what we do put my camera on the tripod and show you how to have start cleaning these guys with it so this before I slap my camera on the tripod their district leaning outside of the bottles I don't normally use just casing always interested just regular scour pads store brand ones got these ones at Canadian Tire are you gonna for like under five bucks you get a huge pack you don't need to get any brand names because again any scarab had just works as well also what's nice to have is a hard bristle brush this is nice to have just to get off any kind of hard gank on the surfaces of bottle and then a lot of people don't have these small small little ones these are actually aquarium brushes they're actually really good for again getting to your small small bottle tip someone up but just look for aquarium stuff online or at an aquarium store you can get the really nice small bottles and then again pick this got the Canadian tar as well just a regular bottle brush as well so now put that camera on the tripod and show you guys how to clean these guys the mic might be a little bit off and different from before cause I don't have my external mic on it's just sort of my cameras pointing will really pick up so sir with this one here I have just a bottle I put take from the big one Pro small on Justin's you to pour and use a water bottle or anything that you want so all we're gonna do is we're just gonna put about I think is steady about a quarter there we go sorry if it was asking a quarter of the ball was gonna be full with the super clean yeah cleaning stuff there and then turn on the water we're gonna fill up the rest with water this is why I last so long right because you don't need to fill up an entire bottle with it so now all we do is once this is nice and full like this just let it sit for a few days so I'll do the rest of the bottles and then I'll come back give it about three days and then I'll show you guys uh the before and after on how these look after they've been sitting a little bit with this super clean in it there's one last trick I have here now for cleaning mason jars like these guys here at Balderas crown jars come they have all the game can side them as you can see you get done with a normal bottle brush it takes a little bit you can buy actually these guys here expect a big jar brush you get him in a kitchen store and instead very manually to be a big game about to do Mannion likes to stick it doesn't like to turn very well so what I actually do is I have a just a regular I like the unethical but I have a regular drill here just a mass trash can a entire picked up anything on sale for a twenty bucks or so so it's just an adjustable truck drill so all you do is I cut that that there's like a ring on here I cut the top of that off so I can fit in here and there we go nice and tight and then nice and slow you wanna have a firm grasp on it nice and slowly and there we go now set that down here just having a sink but where they're real nice and perfect nice clean just a nice little trick nice little hack and just always have your drill plug into a GFCI plug or just don't have the water running when you have it on that's also nice to the recommendation so there we go just a nice little secondary tip there he's a power drill yeah makes work a lot easier than using your hands so I'm get you guys back in about a few days nice and clean for you so guys it's been a couple days and I think see from this angle but pretty much all the stuff has come off these balls I'll bring it closer to light so you guys seem so grab this one here it's not a bunch of burnt on stuff on the bottom so if you look on the light here you can see it's all come off and pretty much just gone to the very bottom put that one down over here and then same with this one right here this one had all the rust stain it and if you look at it you can actually see it's kind of floating and has all just kind of come off from the super clean so I'm gonna put the camera on the tripod mtv's out and show you guys how they turned out so give me a sec they're round itself and if you look so we still have there's a little bit still left right there but if we take if we take our little cleaning brush and easily now it's not so stuck on it just slides straight off a little bit and get my clean straight off okay [Music] all the rest of it off there look at her that is a perfectly mean waddle much better than what it looked like before that you couldn't get off for anything so there we go that's everything off of it looks like it was brand new and then this one again this guy right here had all that grease stain on it all gone all right on the bottom there you can see so again we'll just dump that guy out put some water in it yeah give it a good little shake around and that'll normally knock anything loose that was on it but that pretty much takes everything off of it there we go looks like there's nothing in it to begin with brand new not brand new but it looks like it's brand new could be used again perfectly clean again grease stains completely gone and even the bigger bottle right over here that we had as you can see the grease stain or that rust stain is completely gone it's actually floating somewhere right there on the bottom I don't know if you can see it very well but right there as floating came right off again I find that this stuff actually works in bald with wine bottles it I don't know glass but it works a heck of a lot better on these type of bottles if you look completely spotless looks like there was nothing there begin with so again this Smith this method this method won't get off your sickness now the waters might be hiding any sickness that's on these bottles right now that's what I like I don't know if I said before but you can use that the baby oil for that actually a bottle over there but what I find when you use baby oil they have a very dusty environment or dusty basement or something the dust likes to stick to the baby wall and your Bobby gets all disgusting and gross so I don't really recommend it and also you can do it just do it on the inside not the outside if you're gonna do it and again there's just one yeah you guys got the point you can see how it just completely annihilates everything takes everything off really quick look at that the bottle has absolutely nothing on a nice at four maybe two three days if you have more stuck on kinky and leave them sit for a little longer but most of the time two or three days will do it and you get a sparkling clean bottle with absolutely nothing on the inside looks brand-new so that is the method I do if you guys have a different way of doing it that works quite well this is just very no it's not labor-intensive whatsoever so it's very simple and easy to do but if you guys have another method let me know maybe I'll try that try different method in my head but I find this one works very well so if you guys are looking for a method to do try this one get a thing a super-clean cost you maybe 20 bucks last quite a while so we're gonna be out doing some more videos quite soon for you guys I just want to get this one up cuz I had time I think J actually right now as we speak he's out digging an old 1890s done but he sent me a few pictures so he he has some cool bottles there so um I'll catch you guys there next time hopefully that'll be up next week for you guys and we'll see you guys all out in about another two weeks or so
