How to Catch a Monster 👹 Funny Monster Story for Kids Read Aloud

[Music] oh where is she i don't know storyteller i'll be right there oh are you behind that wall yeah zombie bob could you move any faster oh zombie bob he's pretty slow yeah i could tell thank you ever since we got into halloween season and all the monsters and the zombies show up and then they started like remodeling the place you know oh so each other uh yeah yeah yes doug dinosaur sorry it's been so distracted with all this monstering going around yeah hey one eye joe oh hey other when i joe oh there's another one i joke can you blame me for being a little distracted we have a strategy oh a strategy for what to keep the monsters away oh what is it well as you can see we have dressed up yeah and i have an idea it sounds fascinating tell me more well i'm dressed up as santa claus because everybody knows that monsters do not mess with santa claus yes or otherwise they would not get their presents yeah that's right and dog the dinosaur here well i am dressed up as a pumpkin you see i see because everybody knows that monsters do not best with vegetables and that is our strategy but storytelling what are you gonna do to keep the monsters away well that's a great question and what i'm doing to keep the monsters away is i'm wearing my monster finger so they think i'm a monster please tell me that those are fake figures they are fake fingers you really scared us or are they fake fingers it's a season of tricking but first a treat how to catch a monster [Laughter] and i suspect that my page turning today might be slightly slowed down maybe i love your manicure oh i should have known of course you should have you know that this is my season [Laughter] well she's not wrong but now it's our time shall we begin shall storyteller be able to turn the pages with monster hands we'll find out oh look at that i did not know that monsters enjoyed strawberries and limes that sounds like a very refreshing lemonade oh and i see that we have a ninja in our midst maybe you have to be some kind of a ninja to catch a monster let's find out school is done i'm heading home it was such an awesome day i got the role of ninja master in this year's school play oh school play i love school plays i remember in my first school play i got to play a tree i know kind of a big deal but this guy ninja master nice oh good bubble kid and this one's got some sort of oh this one threw that thing and she's looking back okay chaos on the bus so now i'm feeling brave and strong and full of courage too but if i'm gonna be a hero there's one thing left to do what oh that's a good book how to be a ninja that sounds like a good one it's got the star he's got the equipment he's got all the stuff and well of course ninja gear essential here we go sorry tell her turning the pages with her monster hands see there's a monster in my closet with claws and teeth and hair and tonight i'm going to scare him he lives just right through there is that is that it is that it what is it i spot my monster right away he's practicing his roar he almost scares me half to death but i won't be scared anymore that's right no more fears we're going in let's see what happens are you scared um you know to be honest does he look scary to you because i think he kind of looks a little bit cute to me i reach into my bag of tricks and pull out my first trap i'll catch my monster right away it'll be a snap oh turns out that you can't you can't snap with monster fingers all right ooh ooh oh it's a giant shark that's an impressive first trick okay he's stronger than i thought but i'm not finished yet i'll catch him in my super sticky ninja nabbing nerd oh yeah that sticky stuff that's super fun poor shark didn't make it oh i think i see getting trapped or is he enjoying it because he seems to be smiling through the trapping and you're being trapped monster do not be smiling he escaped again but my next trap will not miss i'll give him every trick i've got he won't get out of this oh we've got more trickery and this oh a flying cage that for sure will catch him and maybe the sticky stuff will slow him down and and maybe he'll trip over the stars and stare at him how we got him and he stares back his monster eyes look sad i i i'm sorry fred i really am oh please just don't be mad oh oh he's i wasn't expecting the monster to be so sad and apologetic were you oh come on top it up monster tell him something horrible like well now we know how she would take it if she got trapped okay let's see i'm moving as fast as i can i swear i i never meant to scare you i i did it by mistake it's hard to play when you were asleep i want you wide awake the monster wasn't trying to scare him he wanted to play i knew he looked kind of sweet to me do you see me struggling but i'm doing this to keep the bad monsters away so it's totally worth it right okay here we go there we go there we go so then i stopped my ninja bot and he pulls the bars apart i shake his hand and then he smiles and rips a massive fart wait for it to pass i mean he's a nice monster but a monster nevertheless i need to get my breath for a second there oh it smells like flowers in here what was that next page that's how we say hello my friend we do it all the time just take a whiff you'll see it smells like strawberries and lime oh oh it does here i was thinking it was horrible and i had to wait a minute strawberries and lime i don't understand that's so weird and then he takes me to his house which seems a little weird he lets me greet his mom and dad is this the creature that i feared oh hello welcome to the house welcome mikasa is to casa well isn't this the nicest welcome we play for hours and have such fun and eat volcano pie and when he throws me in the air he throws me really high volcano pie now that sounds kind of interesting it's not as good as bats too i bet it is actually then at last it's time for bed he helps me brush my teeth whoa but he squeezes all my toothpaste out he's strong beyond belief [Music] well at least his hair will have a minty fresh flavor the night is done and mom comes in to tuck me nice and tight i'm glad i'm feeling safe and sound it's time to say good night good night do you think she heard it she didn't hear it so safe and sound and look we're safe and sound yeah looks like zombie bob is finally done with all the construction around here and and the air doesn't smell funny okay when i die little guy yeah yeah he's still oh oh oh now we're sweeping up okay okay all right all right all right oh and a bat and a bat of course of course it's it's monsters they they bring in all their stuff and yeah there's nothing um but everything's fine everything's fine there's nothing to worry about the monster just clearly wants to play yes he wants to play at making batsu why don't you join us no i i i don't think so yes you're falling under my spell you want the bats too i do not want the bats too you do i don't you really do i really don't oh yeah ugh she's so persistent doesn't she whoa whoa oh it was really exciting right here during monster season yeah yeah you really never know who's gonna show up around here but i'd rather that the witch that show up ah she's pretty unpredictable you can't really tell these things you can't really tell these things at all but the important thing is that you take it all like a big fat treat not a trick yes not a trick but a treat yeah well you really are into traits around here pretty much all year round not just a halloween time and monster time yeah yeah yeah we're like a
