I always wanted to have my own Ground Control station for flying a drone so I grabbed a cheap weatherproof case from Harbor Freight and plan my build [Music] Ground Control stations sold online are pretty expensive so I decided to build my own hobby grade version [Music] first was to measure and cut a wooden frame that would conform to the size of the case [Music] once measurement is confirmed I also have to check that the Foams would still fit I then used an epoxy to mount the wooden frame and also cut out the foam for the batteries and radio transmitter [Music] I cut a piece of plywood to shape and marked the holes to be drilled [Music] I've then mounted inserts on the frame to screw the plywood later on I did the same thing on the bottom area [Music] now to check the alignment I use a knob and thumb screws for easy access on the bottom everything seems to align well [Music] foreign painted it black to look intimidating [Music] now to put the bottom part together [Music] I cut out an opening just enough to mount the video monitor and housing for battery connector [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] cables for both Monitor and video receiver are routed and made tidy with cable tie [Music] foreign [Music] ER and video receiver can be powered by the same voltage I soldered both positive and both negative wires the one connector [Music] thank you [Music] I then mounted a connector to the housing using an epoxy [Music] one more thing I added is the Telemetry radio to fly the Drone [Music] I mounted a top panel with four screws [Music] and it's ready to go [Music] thank you thank you guys for watching [Music]
