How to build a BAD ASS Smokeless Fire Pit/burn barrel for less than $10.

hey today I'm going to show you how to build a smokeless fire pit from a 55 gallon drum I'm going to turn this into a badass smokeless burnt Barrel now you can get this from uh Facebook Marketplace range you can pick one up for5 to $15 there's a lot out there you can get these for free too if you know where to look so I'm going to divide this in half all right so now I'm going to use uh the seam as my reference point here I'm going to put a 5 in this 5 in right here that is 1 in right here we're going to end up cutting this and this then we're going to overlap but we're not cutting it yet I'm going to do all the drawing first before I do all the cutting probably make that easier all right my next step I made this a 3 and2 in square it's like a template and I'm going to mark it all the way around the U the barrel star in here all right now I'm going to Mark each of the square with a number one two three 4 18 square total just like that all the way around number it all right my next step is this a 1 and 1/2 in template that I cut Square so I'm going to draw two line 1 and 1/2 in and 1 and 1/2 in here all the way around let me lay this down make it easy for me start from here that's supposed to look like all the way around the barrel all the way around all right next step is we're going to do a uh we're going to put a template here 1 inch and a half inch and a half template but I like to uh draw out first before I cut okay so we this all the way around all right all has been marked 1 and 1/2 in square all all the way around all the way around okay now my next step is I'm going to drill holes here so I'm going to mark it and I'm going to go back with a drill bit I'm want to drill Center here each Square the next one is I'm going to draw the same these line right here using the same template 1 and 1/2 in so I'm making another line here these lines so we can Drew holes one in holes confused yet yeah you are once you do it you uh you'll see all right so here's the barrel here this is where we're going to cut right right here cut this right in half okay we're going to Drew holes here where I mark it and on this side of the H of half of the barrel we're going to drw a hole here like that and then this line here we drive we're going to drill holes right be we all take the hole so hole here there will be a hole here right between here going to be right here all right so going to drill here as [Music] well let just pre-drill and then after that I put a step through this at 1 in go through that hole all right I peddrew all the hole all the way around the barrels now it is to come this part it's a 1 in Step [Music] drill battery's dead already put it away I got some oil so keep this thing cool bring out the big boy [Music] now a lot [Music] faster all right now all the holes has been drill take a little while but uh definitely a lot faster with the powerful electric drill now we're going to cut these earlier we drew this uh so now we're going to cut 6 12 and 18 we're going to make a legs out of these 612 and 18 all right let's do it we're going to cut uh here here and here then we're going to fold it up uh we're going to remove this after that after we we cut all this we're going to take this out so we can fold this up to create a legs okay let's do [Music] it next step we're going to do even number two four cut here top here down this way we don't cut on the right side we just cut three Edge three Sid but not this side we're going to do all that to even numbers all right I finished cutting the even number now I'm going to cut the lid [Music] off Bend IN make it stronger don't have to be perfect just bend it in there we go now we're going to bend this tap [Music] in at an angle here we go all right so just flip the uh Barrel over we're also going to cut this piece out but before we cut this piece out I'm going to divide this like into a pizza I'm going to create like a blade uh so it look like a fan blade and it going to sit in the bottom of the barrel and that's create a wind tnle when it when it catch some wind it going to create a lot of oxygen so the wood can burn a lot cleaner and less smoke man it's hard to see black on black here now I'm going to device up some more not sure you can see that but that's it look like a pizza pie all divided up now we're going to draw a circle then we're going to cut this blade out and then we're going to fold it make a circle around here they want to cut here here here every other one so we can create uh a fan blade cut here and here all the solid line skip that and cut skip the line and cut it we'll see here we [Music] go all right it's all cut up now all we have to do is bend it [Music] and that is the fan it's going to lay down like this and the wind going to catch under here that's exactly what happened a lot of oxygen oxygen passing through here so much of a permanent marker I'm going to cut this in half now right there half now time to cut this in half and then join together so this Barrel sit [Music] inside now we're going to join this together strap down tie down then I'm going to I join the seam together overlap by an inch and I'm going to put put a uh self Tapp and screw through here so last night I was in a hurry try to finish up the project but I miscalculate I forgot about this here that going to be shorter so this doesn't fit inside so I have to cut this it's easy fix I'm going to cut it out and then move this inside all right all cut out it you're supposed to sit inside here like that okay supposed to sit in like that so I'm going to cut this and I'm going to put a screw through here cut make this shorter all right got redo this and this should fit right inside all right look at that so the air will go through there and it's act like a fan bladee so it keep uh the fire going burning Oxygen's free under there looking good perfect now I need to cut this down and bend these [Music] in all right just finished cutting these right here all that that now I just need to bend in like that do all that all the way around all finish so this one go in here of course to sit on top of that and then this one go over now you have a smokeless fire pit one down I got five more to go over there and here's the lid when I'm done I cover it up and this is a cooking great here on Amazon $26 you got handle 22 in got handles on both side on both side you can lift this up you can feed the fire the woods in here keep the fire going but I have cooked in uh pork grilled pork and pizza recooked the pizza steaks it's awesome that's a 22 in and if
