How to Buff and Polish Brass

hi I'm rich and welcome to another dico products how-to video here we have a piece of brass antique fan blade and two polish brass basically a three step process you start with Tripoli TC six you apply that to a spiral stone wheel and you follow that with white Rouge and say a cushion stone wheel so on just a few rows of sewing the final step which is a super high shine would be a green Rouge or jewellers Rouge red Rouge green or red applied to a flannel wheel well let me show you how it's done I always apply the compound to the ball the compound as the abrasive and it does not doesn't do anything unless it's driven by the buffing wheel the buffing wheel drives the abrasive which does the work and you let the buffing wheel do the work you don't need to press hard if you see black streak marks developing means you have a little too much compound on the wheel don't worry it can be picked back up by the wheel just continue to work move the item around so that the buffing wheel will do the polishing you can tell when you need more compound because it basically stops working you can also look against the light to see that there's trace metal filling on the wheel just to touch the compound will be enough to continue to do the work you don't want to overload the wheel overloading the wheel will cause those black streak marks you can see we're getting a nice shine developing this is just the first step white Rouge applied to the cushion stone wheel really starts to bring up a nice finish for a final finish in this case we're going to try some green Rouge on a flannel wheel this one's mounted on a regular drill to the bomb when you can see the green pulls an extraordinary level of color will shine to grass thanks for watching and please don't forget to Like and subscribe click the links in the description below to find out more about the products used in this video and visit dico products com find a retailer near you
