How to BOOT your PS4 Slim into SAFE MODE

hi my name's Vince from my mate mint.com and in this video today I'm going to show you how to start your Playstation 4 slim in safe boot mode so normally when you turn it on you just tap the power button but in this instance to get into safe boot mode we're going to have to not just tap it we're going to have to press it and keep it held down for around seven or eight seconds we need to listen for two beats so when you press it to begin with is going to beep and then after seven seconds it's going to beep again the other things we need is a DualShock 4 controller has also the charging cable the USB to micro USB cable because you won't be able to get into safe boot mode using the controller wirelessly so let's go ahead and do it so I'm going to hold this down this now for the beat that was one beep and after about seven seconds there you go it beats a second time and now I lift my hands finger off it and as you can see now it says connect the dual shot for using the USB cable and then press the PlayStation button so what we need to do is get a charging cable we need to plug it into one of the USB ports at the front it doesn't matter which one you use you can use either of them plug it in there like so plug the other end into the top of your controller and then just press the PlayStation button and there we go we are now in safe bootloader for example it's up to you what you do now you might want to restore default settings or initialize the PlayStation 4 reinstall system software you can have a read through it and make up your mind what you want to do now when you're using it you won't be able to use the analog sticks you have to use that will game pad over here so what I'm going to do is I'm just going to go to change resolution press X and it's now saying the PlayStation will switch star after it is restarted select the video output settings is obviously up to you what step you want to do right now for example if I just have a 720 monitor that I was plugging it into and it was set previously to 1080p rather than automatic then what I can do is I can then just turn it on again by pressing this and now I can use the analog sticks to move it up and down so let's say if I were to put it to 720p it will now allow me to start in 720p instead well I hope you enjoyed the video give it a thumbs up if you liked it take care bye now
