How To Blackout Text in PDF (Free & Online)

in this video I'm going to show you how you can black out text in a PDF file or redact text or in simple English add a black background to certain parts of your PDF file now I'm going to show you how you can do this all for free so let's jump into it so to do this we're going to be using a web tool called sda.com so if you go to Google and you type in SDA that's s e j d a it should then be the first one what you need to do is go ahead and click on it and then you can upload your PDF document and we can black out text here for free so go ahead and upload your PDF file obviously find where it is on your computer and then upload it once you've got that PDF uploaded you then want to find out where you want to black out text so I'm just going to go ahead and we'll black out this line here you can obviously black out as much text as you want now on this PDF editor it's called white out so go ahead and click on it and then you can then select on the PDF file which text you want to black out so I'm going to select all of this text here it's then going to Black that out or in our case it's going to create a white rectangle to change that to Black you just want to head over to background color you can then choose black now from here you can obviously cover this and there You' go you've essentially blacked out text now you can do this for any text that you want and obviously change the color and then once you're happy with those changes you just want to click apply changes at the bottom here and then it's going to process your PDF you can then download it again I'll just download it to my desktop and here is the PDF with the text blacked out as you can see so that's how to do it I hope that quick video helped you out
