are you tired of setting goals and not achieving them do you find yourself writing down things that you plan to do but for some reason you're just not executing are you sick and tired of being sick and tired then you've clicked on the Right video cuz baby girl or boy I got you today we are going to talk about five realistic ways for you to achieve discipline in your life so that you can live the life that you desire who are you the hello hello beautiful people and welcome back to another video my name is Evette Renee if you are new here and on this channel we talk about everything leveling up and living your best life being your best self so over the past year and 3 months I have been going hard on my discipline so that I can live my dream life I knew that in order to be the woman that I envisioned be the person that I daydreamed about I had to buckle down and I had to make some changes for 100% of humans we don't get to choose the lives that we are born into we don't choose our parents we don't choose our background we don't choose our upbringing the neighborhood that we're raised in the things in our environment that we're exposed to that is out of our control until we reach about the age of 18 and some people even longer however once we become adults we have a say so we have control over the lives that we lead we can dictate and determine where our future goes you know a lot of us try to achieve discipline a lot of us try to achieve our dream life and in a world world full of superficial content we are bombarded by ooh look at me ooh look at what I have ooh look at the life that I live ooh this is how I got it and we find ourselves being sucked into the way that someone else has gotten somewhere just because we see what they have and because of this we're we're often like oh I need to do what that person did so that I can get to where I want to get to when in fact that's absolutely wrong you cannot achieve the life that you want by doing what someone else is doing to achieve the life that they have is there a general formula absolutely however it is important that you tweak that general formula to work for you and your life because we are all different the person living below me different the person living above me different the neighbor across the hall different the first step to achieving discipline is figuring out what you want where are you going what's the destination you cannot plan to go somewhere if you have no idea where you're going you cannot take my plan and use it to reach your goals because my plan was designed for my goals a few months ago I made a video talking about how to stay motivated and how to stay consistent and if you need to watch that video go ahead and click it I highly encourage that you check that video out and then come back and watch this video now in that video I discussed a vision map a vision map is a 5 to six page document detailed document about who you want to be and where you want to go and I mean down to the smallest detail where you live what does the house look like on the inside and the outside what does the car that you're driving look like what does the interior look like who are you married to how many kids do you have what do those kids do what does your spouse do for a living how much money do you make how do you make that money so on and so forth down to the nitty gritty detail the first step to achieving any type of discipline is setting clear goals next establish a routine now I am not about to sit here and tell you that you have to get up at 5:00 and go to the gym in order to be successful is waking up early a successful trait amongst successful people absolutely I mean the early bird will always get the worm but nobody ever said that the late bird is going to starve the late bird just might have to wait a little longer or try a little harder do you currently work a 9 to 5 and you have kids that take up your 6 to9 you have to create a routine around that around your life within your current lifestyle make a routine that suits you or you will not be able to stick to it for example you see yourself or you see your future self as someone who is in good shape and you eat healthy all the time for some people like myself that means meal prepping on Sundays so that you have food for the week but guess what not everybody can cook and not everybody wants to cook not everybody has the time to cook some people work on Sundays so they can't prepare on Sundays their meals for the week and that is okay find a system that works for you so last night I returned home from vacation yesterday was Sunday and I usually always cook not usually always I cook on Sundays I meal prep and prepare for my week because I know my goals and that fits into my routine however I was on vacation I couldn't meal prep yesterday so I prepared in advance I made sure to have my meals delivered this morning so that my food will be done for the week so I use a company called Factor who delivers fresh never Frozen dietician approved meals right to my doorstep they have so many options to choose from calorie smart keto Protein Plus now me personally I got vegan veggie meals this week because I was just on vacation eating whatever I want and I knew that my body would need to be cleansed once I got home so I usually do three lunches and three dinners whenever I have to order from them but I knew I didn't have time to do anything this week so I actually added on my breakfast which I'm doing mango smoothies for breakfast I have mine right here and I also got cold press juices because I knew I needed to cleanse my body out after a great vacation and whenever I don't need meals delivered like if I know I'm going to be here for the next 2 weeks I'll just have my deliveries pause or just reschedule them for a time I know I'm going to be gone find other ways to establish and stick to a routine if something else that someone does does not work work for you so if you need help with establishing a healthy diet and you're just too busy or you just don't want to cook yourself head over to factor75.com or click the link in my description use code evet 50 for 50% off your first box and 20% off your next month of orders that's factor75.com use code evet 50 for 50% off your first month orders and 20% off your second month orders number three prioritize your tasks in case you did know you're only a mere human there is only one of you there is only so much that you can do in 24 hours and you got to sleep in those 24 hours I remember when I first started like working towards my goals and working towards discipline I tried to cram everything into one day or into one week and I would get so frustrated at myself when I didn't complete everything on the list getting mad at myself then caused me to doubt myself and just want to throw the whole plan away no we're not doing that we are not self sabotaging after you have identified what your goals are list those goals by importance so that you can tackle the most important to the least okay for example say you have a goal of wanting to own a home but right now you're not making enough money at your current job in order for you to get that home you have to make more money but in order for you to make money you have to get a new job do you know how fast you would fail if you tried to get a new home and get a new job but not making more money all at the same time like that even sounds confusing saying it out loud stop breathe and order those goals step one get a better paying job put all of your energy efforts and intentions into researching those better paying jobs going on those interviews next thing you know you have a new job 1 month later step two work at this job and save up money all you did was get a new job your current lifestyle had remained the same so if you're current lifestyle Remains the Same and you have a new job that pays you more than the last job of your current lifestyle that means you're making more money you have money to put away to start to save up for this new home that you have that that's that's your goal boom 6 months later you didn't saved up enough money because you didn't change your lifestyle you were living the same lifestyle with that better paying job you've just achieved two goals in 7 to8 months and 7 to8 months goes by so fast best we are already in middle of 2024 and I was just saying Happy New Year prioritize your goals and stop putting so much pressure on yourself you have time nobody's rushing you number four practice self-control and this is by far the most important of working towards being disciplined if in my personal opinion and honestly this is something that I struggle with even to this day so the example that I just mentioned about the new home you got the new job you're making more money now here's where a lot of people mess up here is where people don't have self-control you're making more money you have this goal but now you're out spending it because you're making more money you are never going to get that new house if the the more money that you're making if you have your current lifestyle you get this new job you're making more money you're spending that money because woo I'm making more money you're so excited let me buy new clothes buy new things that you really don't need you're not going to get to your goal because you don't have self-control that rhymed that was an accident okay no seriously you won't reach that goal because you couldn't stay down you couldn't resist Temptations you couldn't control your spending so now there's no goal for you to reach so you have a goal of wanting to read more gain more knowledge so that you can apply it and become better fight that urge to sit there on a Saturday and just binge watch Netflix do things that are more aligned with your future self while ignoring the things that are not aligned with your future self you want to get that flat stomach in 3 months by golly you drive past Wendy's you have the temptation to stop but you keep going and you go to Publix and get that salad instead matter of fact you pull up to Wendy's you pull up to the menu and you are tempted by that spicy chicken sandwich with that large fry and a Sprite but instead you get that little apple salad with the with the the Apple vinegarette dressing I don't know with the grilled chicken instead of the Fried Chicken you have to control yourself you have to control your urges we all have we all have urges we all have we all love cookies I love brownies trust me but sometimes I just have to say no because I know what my fitness goals are self-control is sacrifice self-control is saying no to things that do not fit your goals self-control is saying no to the things that you know you should say no to and you know what you should be saying no to keep keep your eye on the prize and avoid the shiny things that are trying to distract you control yourself and you can control your life I promise number five pat yourself on the back when you've done a good job and slap yourself on the hand when you've done what you're not supposed to do you want to lose 15 lbs but you just love brownies and ice cream being disciplined isn't about breaking up with your favorites it's about turning them into rewards for example you set a goal of dropping 10 lb tell yourself I won't pick up another brownie and ice cream until I drop 10 lb do you know how fast you're going to work at dropping that 10 lbs if you know that at the end of that 10 lb it is a beautiful bowl of ice cream and brownies if somebody told you I'mma give you $2,000 if you don't watch TV for a week you know how many of us is not going to watch no TV for a week in fact take throw throw the whole TV away take the TV away and when you mess up own it dang I fumbled the bag I'm human that's going to happen now don't beat yourself up take ownership of that decision sit down and figure out why did I make that choice and then come up with a solution as how you can avoid making that mistake the next time around discipline is a journey and a constant Learning lesson you will fail I fail all the time and I love it you want to know why because when you fail when you fall that means you can get up and redo you can do better the next time and who doesn't want to have an opportunity to do better the next time when you fail when you when you work at something when you do something over and over and over you strengthen that muscle think about it if you're in the gym lifting weights over time that muscle is going to get stronger and stronger because of the repetition so failure is important take your time go at your pace because this is your journey and no one else's now don't make excuses okay don't just don't keep messing up and just keep messing up and say oh I'll try better next time because you won't try better next time you're just making excuses and you're not going to push the needle any further discipline can be yours if you really want it you just have to try and be clear about where it is you are trying to go and how you are going to get there in your life I hope I hope I hope that this video helped you if you need help with figuring out where to go or how to get there I'll leave the vision map in the description for you below and I will see you guys on the next video thank you for watching
