How To Backup And Restore Steam Games (2024) Easy Method

hi everyone today we'll be talking about how to back up and restore Steam games now before we begin make sure to like And subscribe all right let's get into it now the first thing you want to do is you want to have Steam app open up on your desktop so once you have steam open what you want to do is you want to go to the library where all your games are and then once you go there you basically select the game that you want to back up and restore so I have Counter Strike 2 open up here so what I'm going to do is on the left panel where it says Counter Strike 2 I'm going to right click that so I'm going to right click Counter Strike 2 and then I'll go to properties and on the left panel you have install files and then I click backup game files and here I'm going to choose a directory to create the backup file so I'm going to browse and I already have a backup file folder uh created on the desktop so I'm going to select that folder and then I'm going to create backup so I have a lot of game data on Counterstrike too so this is going to take some time so depending on the game it'll basically take a lot of time or or less time and once the backup is completed you will get a tick mark and it'll basically show your size as well and then you can click the Open folder button to check if all the files are in order and if that is okay you want to close that file and then close this and close this one as well and and then what you want to do is on the top left you have steam you click that and then you click restore game backup and then you browse and you click the folder where it says Counterstrike 2 or whichever folder you restore whichever folder you backed up in and then you want to click restore backup so right now I don't have to restore the backup because I already have the game and that's how you do it I hope this helped you guys thank you so much for watching
