How to add Google reviews to your WordPress website for free

hi it's michael from anyone web design and digital marketing and today we're going to talk about implementing google reviews across your wordpress website as you're probably aware if a consumer is looking to make a purchase they want to find out a little bit about your company whether it's a product or a service they're going to do a little bit of due diligence and where they're going to do that they're going to go straight to google so if you've got a google my business page you can start collecting reviews what a client's going to look for is how many reviews you have how recent they are what they're saying about you and your business and have you responded to them now there's a great way that we can incorporate all of this information straight across your website which helps with credibility and also helps massively with seo so we're going to dive straight across to the wordpress dashboard we're going to go to plugins install plugin and the plugin we're going to search for is called widgets for google reviews i've already activated this plugin here just to show you but once it's activated you're going to look down the left-hand side for a little company name called trust index if you click on that that's going to open up the platform on here so where do you connect your google platform from what part do you put in here what you do is you bring up your google my business page you get your map and you copy the link in google you then go back to the platform you paste it into there and check and what that's going to do is it's going to connect this particular company so the company that we're looking for is woodstone village motorhome caravan and self storage and here we're going to pull through the right one so we're just going to connect that on there and show you the next steps to installing this okay once it's connected you can choose your layout you can choose from a slider a sidebar a list a grid this particular case we're going to go for a grid so we're just going to select the grid option okay now that we've selected the layout we're just going ahead and go ahead and select the style that we want so let's have a look through here we've got various ones light borders drop shadows quite nice so we're just going to select the drop shadow one on there for this particular example okay and the final part is just to set up the widget itself so it's pulled through a little preview just showing some of the customers on here i think what we might do is just maybe change the date format so it's going to go ahead in there and change it to a more conventional style and you can choose to hide the rate in the reviews without comments on or show verified review icons we're just going to go ahead that so it's going to click on save and i'm going to get the code so we can put that straight into the web page okay so now we've got the code what we're going to do is copy that code and go ahead and implement straight into the web page that we want to do so i've already loaded up the home page for this particular website now this is built in elementor but it will work in any page builder that you use with with wordpress so i'm going to search for html it's all going to do let's put the code into the page there so we're just going to paste that there what that's going to do is it's going to inject the code into there now with html you don't always see the front end here so what we might want to do is click a little preview just to see what the page looks like before we actually publish it so we're going to go ahead and preview the page here it's wearing that loading up so here's the home page just refreshing there i'm going to scroll down and boom there we go they are all the reviews so what's pulling through all the latest reviews it's not going to pull through every single review in this particular case this client has 143 reviews so there's no way you could load all them onto the page but what it does is it brings to the most recent ones on there okay so brings them through and it also shows in a google rating of five of five based on 143 reviews so obviously you can style this as as you see in the previous page and you know you can have different dark styles light styles but i think that this works particularly well it just shows that they're verified and review on there as well that's from google on there as well so that's how we should we implement the google reviews on the wordpress website if there's anything else that you want to have a look at on our website and find out some more helps and tips you can go to our blog section on here so it's just under help and advice on our website which is anyone web design dot co dot uk and that'll pull through the latest blog reports on there as well we hope you've enjoyed this video if there's any questions feel free to get in touch and we're more than happy to help have a good day
