when Shadow sent Maria to space he had time to reflect on his own actions he realized when our Gods wanted to chastise humans on Earth unleash lightning from a Heavens people were fascinated by the God's power they wanted for themselves after much dedicated research at last humans succeeded in obtaining it in other words humans created nuclear weapons making the most indiscriminate explosive destructive power the world has ever seen But now that he remembers that or tells himself that he realizes again what he must do it is to transend the ultimate power of Gods Shadow's real dream is to be the Eminence in Shadow a being which even Gods could not touch that is the conclusion he reached after floating in space and before releasing his strongest at that moment ultimate power I'm Atomic what is interesting about this whole realization is how he went off the reals in the first place kageno in his multiple lives mainly focus on training in order to obtain overwhelming power wherefore after all those years his mind started to wonderand off in his role playing game as an escape mechanism from reality it all started when Monaro told our people about his dream but the reception wasn't very kind are you stupid they say is something wrong with you they say would you just grow up already they say after all that he started to hide behind the mask but he wasn't unhappy Sid was actually enjoying his role playing sessions with his friends from Shadow Garden but as a consequence he stopped thinking about what he really must accomplish but this all change went Sid and Delta had a very stupid conversation while digging for gold what is interesting about it is that s is not even putting on a mask he usually does with other Shades what you see here is the true feelings of minor kago he tells Delta that every Christmas he wish that Santa would make him the eminent sin but then he quickly changes his mind he has decided to never tell the things that really matter to him after talking to Delta s decided to go on a self-discovery journey to take a break from his usual games and to call off the anger he caused by Bing his friend's chest that is why when he went on hisel disc overy Journey he first did it as a joke but when he quickly realizes that he had forgotten his own path he notices that until now in every situation he found himself in he did what would take him the closest to becoming the Eminence in Shadow but thinking back he never did have a clear image of what exactly the Eminence should be when stuff came up he was happy to enjoy those moments but should he keep going in this direction he realizes that something is actually missing or was he just imagining it that is why moving on sakes his sisc Discovery Journey very seriously can things really keep going on like this of course not but the only thing he can do now is to never give up Sid had to do something to get back on his track where he goes for a walk around Arana Kingdom to collect information because this time he himself is going to set up the stage for his own performance instead of incorporating himself as a mastermind in someone else's stage like it usually happens when all of events and circumstances accidentally fall into a perfect place making Shadow seem like a Mastermind genius at the end but Sid does not even aware of this fact he just knows the most basic information the public is allowed to know in a newspaper while in the meantime Shadow Guardian is risking their lives to collect the most valuable information for their Master the reason kago plans to secretly help Rose Oriana become the next ruler of Oriana kingdom is because this could leave a mark in history when a mysterious person moved all the pieces for this exact moment Sid understood roses resolved to kill her own power that's what it took to become the Queen the determination to walk the path of Carnage to become the Supreme Tyrant is all it takes for it to believe that she has the potential to achieve her goal that's how as a background character and as the Eminence in Shadow he will help Rose become the next Monarch and after she becomes a mighty Tyrant Shadow will have an opportunity to step in and stop her from going on the rampage that is Shadow's plan to have as much fun as possible in the near future but before he could execute it properly some bad guys make a stylish entrance show off their power and make a dashing exit he doesn't know who they were but some people just know how to act but Sid can't let them outo him in being a perfect background character that is why he has to step up to them in performance don't hurt anyway he resumed his plan to make rose vant thing but nothing seems to be working over the last few days he tried to sneak into a correctional facility but in where he got distracted by it by enjoying the new experience he always wanted to try where he had to make a jailbreak and from there he went straight to a volunteer army in there he recreated an old Legend called the black rose by giving some old dudes his magical power which resulted in them getting all the glory but that is not how it was supposed to go a fixer should solve other people's problems without standing out but he couldn't even manage the first step while Sid was contemplating his own failures he heard some Bandits laughing and while his main goal is to remember what path he was taking the only way way he could do that is by retracing his own steps going back as far as stylish ruing Slayer in a previous world with his disguise weapons and even the same bag Bandits were talking about how someone found enormous treasure in the ruins but they quickly become quiet by saying that ignorance is bliss or a peaceful good night sleep that is s kills two out of three Bandits and starts searching for their money while a singular Bandit who is left is scared for his life Sid starts monologuing about the rules of this world when want something take it even if you have to kill for it don't you just love the rules of a lawless City I know I do basically it means the strongest guy is always right that means I am always right that's what Sid said before he killed the Bandit and gave back the money those Bandit stole for Mary the small kindness he just showed proves that it does indeed have some kind of justice system or basic human empathy if it didn't he could have easily kept all of the money for himself even though he's always looking to get more of it that's also the reason why he doesn't want to rely on Shadow Garden or mits GOI for his finances because it is not his money or property except it is at first it may seem like Sid is very greedy but that's not right he even looks sympathetic when realizing that the Nobles got all the good stuff all the normal people were suffering from poverty if Sid decides to steal he will only steal from people who he believes deserve it if he sees someone as a bad person he will feel just to fight in doing whatever he wants to them but he will always respect those who he considers to be good except whenever his eminent activities call for him to break one of O's rules he doesn't hesitate just like when he chose to support Rose no matter what it really seems like Shadow has no problems helping people become the bad guys as long as it serves his Eminence in Shadow Persona even if that would mean innocent people are oppressed and killed in the process a similar thing has already happened in season 1 when he assumed that Alexia was a serial killer while in his inner monologue he said that she's allowed to do whatever she wants just don't claim to be part of Shadow Garden while doing so which would mean that he's completely fine with her being a murderer and wouldn't have stopped her if it weren't for her supposedly claiming to be a member of Shadow Garden while Sid is living his life guilt-free the reason he needs money in the first place is to find his indefinite Eminence in Shadow activities secretly returning money stolen from a good-natured lady is one of O activities this would explain why Mary trusts and respects Shadow even though a public labels him as a villain but this is not the first time he gave away his money for the safety of our people this had happened when a progenitor vampire was attacking her enemies and Shadow protected everyone while sacrificing his gold in exchange therefore when Shadow first flew near the ruins to find their treasure but instead found Victoria fighting for her life Shadow helps her because he values human life more than money and because you can't have a show without an audience Shadow asks her if that's where the treasure is I mean if the ruins are here but hearing that Victorious Master is asking about work she goes full serious mode into her master's favorite spy game she tells him that number 666 betrayed him number 666 is that an employee ID number while the girls are having mixed reactions to her betrayal Shadow couldn't care less of someone who sto mitosi Secrets but what really picks his interest is the newsletter of rosariana also known as number 666 getting married shadow gets angry at trolls for betting her own dreams and convictions that is because he would never forgive himself if that would ever happened to him Rose has already achieved so much in her bloody path she stabbed her fiance and killed her own power so she could become a Supreme Tyrant but now she's giving up on the dream Shadow realizes that the existence of light makes the shadow shine so brightly if Shadow's feminine performance would ever get anywhere and have any meaning in it it is when Rose becomes the next ruler of Arana Kingdom that was Shadow's thought process when realizing that she needs more of a direct help when he first fought the next day Shadow guarden members specifically Lambda start talking to Kai and Omega she wanted to claim responsibility for number 666 punishment in her betrayal but instead she learns that Lord Shadow himself took this matter in his own hands the girls assume that Rose will get merciless punishment like their usual enemies and by a power us to oppose him the only thing they can do now is to quietly accept Rose's death and move on while in reality Shadow is a pretty chill dude he does not accept Rose's marriage where Sid the background character will handle it by talking to her like a normal person this is to know the truth as to why she's giving up in the first place and to change her mind as long as her Rebellion fire was not fully put out meanwhile Rose was contemplating her own betrayal she did in Shadow Garden she did what she had to in order to save her mother but that is just a small Comfort she has before The Final Storm she knows that she's powerless to do anything when the Shadow Garden and the cult of Diablo s the stage in Oriana Kingdom but when she sees Sid climb up the tower she has the most emotional reunion with her boyfriend loving just something along those lines she's positive that in this moment he's thinking the exact same thing she is while in reality s actually did care about her marriage and cookies the interesting detail about cookies in the scene is that Rose was too stressed out to notice anything else there were a lot of problems in her life and now that she's with Sid who is her only comfort person appeared in her room she can now feel a tease but this also exhibits and emphasizes how Rose only sees what she wants to see and believe basically while it was funny how Sid was eating her cookies it also showcased how delusional Rose truly is when Sid wanted to talk about Rose's impending marriage Rose was thinking about her own marriage but while she knows that she loves him that's why she had to push him away the two of them are DED to never be together B she can do now is to keep him out of Harm's Way Rose lies and tells s that there's nothing to talk about she will marry per asset of her own free will but Sid is not buying it telling her that she's lying to herself Sid asks her to think back on that that day when Rose had promised to be a fighter but Rose's emotions could not handle it Rose knows that he's talking about the faithful day when Sid and Rose pledged their love to each other but now Rose Has Broken that pledge what is actually funny is how one simple interaction had deviated in both of their perspectives Sid remembers Rose promising to be a tyrant while Rose thinks that they pledged their love to each other while they did not managed to contradict each other when we talked about two different things but no matter how badly Rose wanted to change her marriage partner Sid will not give in on her bloody path he thinks that they are both the same because they have walked the similar for New Path for their own sake s knows that Rose grew up in a kingdom where fencers were looked down on but she still continued on that path even when the Pierce rejected her no one understood her she was alone but she stayed true to her own chosen way of life s can relate to that because nobody understood his dream either Rose tries to confort Sid because she thinks that his dream is the same as Rose's dream and that is to marry other she thinks that Sid was ridiculed for wanting to marry a princess as a low Aristocrat she tells him that even if the whole world should reject him she would never do that but manoro had to Face Reality one way or another when the world did not see things like they do mono grew up in environment where childish dreams were ridiculed with comments like are you stupid is something wrong with you would you just grow up already Rose hearing it tells it that she does not care what anyone else says because to her said dream is the most precious thing there is s tells her that they must do whatever it takes to try and stay true to her own chosen way of life no matter the obstacles or the rejections but Rose at this moment was rejecting that way of life even after stabbing her fiance and killing her own father s w even ask why because he believes she did it out of her own convictions but s does not understand why she's giving up on it now Rose had nothing to say after that she knows better than anyone else that this isn't how she wanted her life to play out however she was left with no other option but to sacrifice herself to keep the people she loves safe she just wished Sid would forget about her and find his own happiness but Sid rejects it he tells her that she needs her and he actually meant what he just said when manoro was broken by Society in his previous world and even in the current one specifically when the seven Shadows had left him when they became too old to play with a stupid game he was actually very sad about it though small things can actually develop into depression which might be why he still thinks that everything around him is just the game he gaslighted himself into believing his dream is unattainable even when he discovered magic so instead he goes for the second best thing he can do and that is role playing his dream he doesn't accept the notion that it could actually be real and that's why he views everything as a scenario everyone is playing into that is why when s saw that Rose was different from people who ridiculed him and also because she was just like him then she continued on her own path instead of accepting what our people think of her s genuinely accepts and respects her for it therefore when Rose asked him to leave because she genuinely cared for his life he pretended to do just that while EES dropping on the conversation to figure out how to best help her he comes up with a simple plan of saving Rose's kidnap mother until he sees that the per acid is in cahoots with a queen in more than one way therefore he thinks of another plan where Roose sees the truth and takes up her sword kills her mother and Duke per AET and finally Rises to become the queen herself Shadow specifically waits for Dawn to make a dramatic appearance and when that happens his starts silently enjoying Rose's cookies Rose seeing Shadow becomes distressed but Shadow is silent while he was doing it for dramatic reasons Rose could not handle the silent tension and therefore comes up with excuse that he's here to kill her she was getting ready for a fight but realized how pointless the struggle would be instead she asks for forgiveness in her betrayal Shadow takes it that she's ready to get back on her track and decides to show her the truth the only thing Shadow did not foresee is Rose's instability seeing how her mother is being hugged by Duke per asset as Rose gets in denial when Shadow tries to help Rose see the truth she collapses from exhaustion what is interesting about it is Shadow actually apologizes for pushing her too hard as Shadow comes up with a slower plan to set her up for Success Rose wakes up in her room and is going through the bargaining stage wishing to go back to her happy days with Sid she hears that someone is playing the piano at first she thought that it was Shadow but it's revealed to be Sid he talks about how he loves this melody cuz he can see the world more clearly he realized that the world has too much static in it and that's why he has to divide everything into categories things that matter and things that don't because he has a dream he could not accomplish otherwise if he saw too much static in his life where he ignores everything that is not related to his dream Sid is essentially someone who refuses to grow up he has explained this to share his power that everyone has dreams such as becoming superheroes in their childhood however as they grow up they automatically start to s admiration for it but he refuses to the any of those things that's how in his past life in Japan in the last year of his high school when he had to decide on a future career that's when he became really hopeless he realized that if he still wanted to rebel against society and stay as a child societ would still force him to grow up this caused them to desperately try and find Magic by hitting his head on a rock although accidentally minor actually threw himself in front of a truck in hopes of reincarnating into the world where magic actually EX exists the simple action of him dying and reincarnating could makes it believe that he could achieve it again he might think that it doesn't matter if he dies again he will once again reincarnate but what matters to him now is whether he will have magic again or even friends who after no matter what will go along with his stupid games that is why he wants immortality in the first place because to him he can at least pretend to be a mastermind and if he keeps this up then one day he might actually become one that's also the reason why the literal Japanese translation to the title of a series is actually called I want to be the Eminence in Shadow since the main character never did actually became the Eminence he always wanted to be while to the entire world he already is this whole thing is just to remind us that Sid fails to understand his own accomplishments as we constantly hear him in his inner monologue saying I would give up everything to get there for him the easiest way to remind himself of his own path until now was looking up at the Moon where he also encourages Rose to do the same by asking her in this world L by the moon what is it that you can see he leaves behind those wordss disappears and accidentally drops a wedding ring which rose later chooses to put on marrying Sid and triggering a boss event an interesting detail was shown in season 2 episode 12 preview specifically the special version which showcases s's point of view in that video Shadow and Munday man the character Sid has created for his own entertainment are questioning the Creator's actions Shadow asks manoro to become what you should be do you have to put in every single effort to be strong Mund man then interjects by asking does a man who was only run over by a truck and died deserve to stand at the top and finally Shadow asks him if he does indeed want to stand in that spot or does he just want to act and have fun to which manora replies that even if somebody says something he will never change he will always aim to be the Eminence in Shadow this was probably the coolest way to say that he would never give up on his dream no matter what other people would say but this could also mean that s imagine Shadow and when they man as different people or personas and they are not very representations of his real personality Shadow as always is making the most dramatic appearance just to slice up some random giant bat who apparently was The Demon King From Another Dimension he was disappointed that the anti-os faction decided to release a magical Beast to stop Rose from becoming the queen this kind of destroyed his Moon until the second bat appears and makes Shadow fly into space as he is floating in space and looking at all those Stars this action jolted back all of his childish memories where he first dreamed Dre of becoming a person who's controlling the world from his Shadows but to accomplish that he first needs to be overwhelmingly strong where he realized that his biggest enemy is not the gods that reside in the world but nuclear weapons this is the moment of realization he was always looking for but could not simply find it by looking up at the moon and to prove it that he's serious about it Shadow puts a barrier on a whole planet to Shield it from his Galactic Atomic blast I'm Atomic as Shadow rediscovers hist true self and feels refreshed about it the opening and closing of a black rose caused the another dimensional hole to open up Shadow who is confused by this new development tried to touch it and got sucked into it while in the light novel Shadow tried to jump into it to look cool as an exit when beta and Epsilon see this they try to go with him but only beta manages to squeeze in there will be a movie where we get to explore betas shadows and even a nishimura Nish Nish you know the
