ping Panther made 3,246 672 from recording songs in a bedroom so how well she figured out a hack in the Tik Tok algorithm which caused her songs to get billions of views on the app this is what she did with her song pain which has 400 million streams on Spotify today we're going to cover exactly how she did this this is the Pink Panther [Music] story Pink Panthers was born in 2001 in bath Somerset in England but she moved to Kent when she was 5 she grew up around music because her older brother is an audio engineer her father is a statistics Professor which kind of plants the seed for later down the line because she was interested in statistics and all that is kind of important if you're doing Tik Tok and it's a tough subject too I almost failed it at Uni so I'm I'm assuming she's pretty smart if it's in the family she would get into music as early as she could learning piano at age seven then 5 years later she discovered her passion for singing performing the song Stand By Me at a school talent show over the next few years her passion for music would grow and grow she was heavily influenced by Tyler the Creator thanks to her older brother playing wolf on vinyl but she also listened to all the 2000 rock bands and that including Paramore My Chemical Romance Lincoln Park Blink 182 you get the point they actually inspired her so much that she would join a rock band when she was 14 where that'd cover all those types of artists but she couldn't spend all her time making music so she started working when she was 13 which is prettying early and might be illegal she worked at Mark Spencer Claire's and Co-op the only place I've ever heard of is Co-op which is like a supermarket type thing if you're not from England Pink Panthers didn't like working she wanted more than these Supermarket jobs so when she turned 16 her older brother inspired her to start writing and producing her own music she also kind of was doing this at the time she was helping her friend write music so she had an idea of how to write her own songs but she wanted to completely make music for herself but there was an issue she had no idea how to produce music but as we mentioned her brother was heavily into it being an audio engineer so thankfully he agreed to show her how to make music he'd show her from her bedroom this app on your laptop called Garage Band if you don't know Garage Band It's a retardedly simple way to record music I've used it like once but it's easier than like the FL Studio types but harder than a band lab plus like we said she's had experience playing the piano which makes it a lot easier to pick up things like garage bands because you Ed keyboards on it and obviously she has experience with it Pink Panthers would begin recording on the app and she would fall in love with it slowly over time she became more and more confident to finally she was putting her own songs on Soundcloud but nothing would hit I looked up I couldn't find any of her old music I believe her label may have forced her to delete everything as we know she pretty much only uses samples in her music and with copyright she legally can't have them up and make money at the same time eventually it was time for her to head to university on the side she had a passion for video editing and film all that kind of so she were going to study film at the University of Arts in London but she wouldn't give up on her music spending late nights in a university Hall making more and more music because at the end of the day that was her true passion she loved making music it's been a part of her basically her entire life till finally she would notice something making music online she would see the app Tik Tok rise and how artists were putting up 10 to 30 seconds snippets on the app and soon after people were making videos to these songs and they were getting millions of views basically blowing up of the snippet so she wanted in she just had to find out a way to do it so she would keep working on making better music at University then once she was comfortable in her ability to make music she would going to shift her Focus pink pantheris became hyper fixated on the Tik Tok algorithm and how it worked to blow up song this is where the whole statistics thing came in she was uploading 10sec Snippets seeing what would work then finally on Christmas Day in 2020 it would finally work she posted a snippet of her song just a waste this vers is a great song it is an MJ sample of off the- wall she would throw this on Tik Tok and we would begin to gain a ton of traction the sped up version has millions of plays to it on YouTube The Unofficial reupload has 1.5 million views but unfortunately she'd have to take the song down because obviously she didn't clear the sample but pink panthers' name was finally out there and she figured something out it was now 2021 and Pink Panthers would use Tik Tok as a focus group where she would come up with 10 to 30 second hooks or Snippets and if they would gain traction she would come out with the full song the more she did this the more she began to notice how well sample songs would perform she would soon get another viral hit with pain but this time the song would be 10 times bigger the snippet went off on Tik Tok it has 60,000 videos being made to it but there's definitely more I just can't find them this has caused a song to reach over 400 million players on Spotify all from creating songs in a university Hall ping pantheris became globally known she was running Tik Tok every song she put up on the app would go instantly viral she wasn't quite as known as a personality yet but she would get there she would leverage the success of Tik Tok to try and release a snippet of day just working on music as much as she could this would work out great for her as she would end up signing with palone records and a lecture records in April and May of 2021 this basically gave her the funds and tools to do whatever she wanted in music and she was very smart about this she would begin collaborating with artists as much as she could she would work with the Grammy winning producer mura Masa on a song just for me again went Fu viral on Tik Tok this song now has 1.5 million videos made to it leading to the song reaching 150 million players as 2021 would come to an end she would work with her label to come up with her debut project to hell with it dropping in October 2021 you could tell she knew her audience very well well blowing up on Tik Tok people like the short catchy hook so she would make sure every song was pretty much as short as possible every song is like under 2 minutes just quick and catchy she also knew how well samples do so it would be lited with sample songs blending pop garage R&B and jungle the project would be headlined by the songs that blew up the most on Tik Tok being pain I must apologize and break it off I mean I think we've all heard the project but it's good it would end up performing amazingly with it reaching the top top 20 on the UK charts and 73 on the billboard 200 she would use all this momentum from this project to reach the mainstream in 2022 she was focused on one thing after dropping out of uni music she would win BBC sound of 2022 in January she would then go on to work with Lil Uzi on the song Baby Cakes they go to perform pretty well then she would release a song where are you with Willow which did even better reaching 30 million streams then the song picture my mind would hit another other 20 million streams she was being very smart and using her label to get collaborations with other artists and leveraging their success to boost hers till eventually in November 2022 everything was about to change ping pantheris would release a song Boys a liar off the gate the song would do really well I think it was getting some traction on Tik Tok and it would now be at 100 million plays on Spotify this song would then go to feature on an EP take me home in December but that's not why it's important because in February 2023 I spies who was gaining a similar level of popularity on Tik Tok but probably more would hop on the song for the remix these two would make a music video that hit 170 million views but on Tik Tok this thing would go viral to a whole new level it has 1.7 million videos made to it with some of the biggest videos having over 50 million views probably meaning the song has been played over a billion times on Tik Tok this would lead the song to hit 700 million players on Spotify I'm pretty sure this is one of the biggest songs that's dropped this year it peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100 I mean it's taking over the Internet that song was basically her introduction to the mainstream so because of this she had some opportunities plus her label would start making her a priority putting more money into marketing her I'm pretty sure you've seen ads of her on Instagram and recently she would gone to work on the barbie soundtrack on the song Angel in June which Barbie was the highest grossing movie of 2023 she was alongside artist like Nick Minaj the kid L Roy I spice du leaper which were all mainstream established artists then in November she would release her debut studio album called Heaven Knows according to Pink pantheris the album is a collection of songs she crafted over the past 2 years the theme revolves around finding inner peace while being alone and through a personal Journey from a challenging place to a more neutral one she describes it as journeying from Hell into purgatory but I'm okay with being there this moves towards different music Styles and marks her evolution in Pink Panther's artistic Journey the success of her recent songs seem to have inspired her to venture into more extensive project like a full album length so far it's been performing pretty well with songs doing over a million plays and as I'm recording this it's only been 10 days since it
