How Much It Cost To Build A Subaru WRX...

[Music] oh [Music] [Applause] [Music] damn guys just sprayed it down with the waterless wash and wax and the windows and the carbon [Music] it is so clean right now i think this is the most i've ever cleaned this car this is just so shiny literally like a mirror definitely needed a wash the wheels were so black but looking extra clean now i know it looks ugly since it's all aired up but i just want to show you guys the car looks all clean feel much better when the car is clean [Music] so as you guys just saw we did some work with the cobb access port loaded the new tune onto the access port for the wrx the access port is definitely needed for the modifications that have on the car right now this costs around 695 dollars on super speed and the tune we just flashed on to the access port cost me four hundred dollars from ron watson from fat body tuning yeah let's go ahead and load the new tune onto the wx and get started with today's video [Music] so [Music] so we just flashed the car over to a brand new tune and the cold start was pretty quiet not gonna lie way different than the previous tune yeah on the car we have a tow mate titanium cat-back exhaust system it took forever to come in take around like three months i want to say but this cat-back costs seventy one 1071. [Music] right under us uh you guys can't see it because it's like right under in the middle of the car but we have a parent non-resonated catted j-pipe or downpipe whatever you want to call it that downpipe on cp speed costs 863 dollars and 10 cents so that's the exhaust setup from the turbo back we have the parent j pipe and then the tow mate titanium coming out of the bag [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] that sounds so good with the tomi paired with the block valve it just sounds amazing now what you guys are hearing the nice turbo flutter all those turbo noises comes from the hks blow-off valve that i have installed on the wx so it's not the venta atmosphere blow-off valve it is actually a recirculating one this is the hks blow-off valve a super sequential v4 this costs around dollars and seven cents on super speed paired with that we have the cobb big sf intake right here i actually bought this one used and that one cost me around two hundred dollars for the safety of the motor in the top left corner you can see an iag air oil separator there's a huge pain in the butt to install but the iag air oil separator costs 439.99 honestly up there for one of the most difficult installs ever that i've ever had to do but you guys blamed me for not having one on the car so it's well worth it to have one of those installed under the hood that's pretty much it like i said we covered the intake the hks blow valve and the iag aos [Music] so i'm not really sure if i really made a proper intro to this video you guys have been asking me to do like a build walk around of the wrx this video is for all you guys who are looking into modifying a wx or already have a wrx and want to know how much it is to build one that looks similar or just like this one you guys just saw we pulled up aired the car out all the way down to the floor i think it's slammed and that is thanks to the airlift performance 3p air suspension that's on the car aka bags i actually bought this kit used the whole three-piece system in fact is actually the frs brz and 86 kind of share very similarities with the wrx so i actually bought my bags off of a guy with an frs cool thing is with the frs beers in 86 you can actually use the same exact rear suspension as the wx so i bought the frs kit i threw the rears onto the wrx and then i just had to buy some brand new front struts because the fronts are actually a little bit different on the wx versus the frs beers en86 so that whole kit pieced together got the air tank management wiring the struts and everything cost me around two thousand dollars used as you can see we have a nice uh white wheel set up on the car these are the te37 sega editions in dash white white wheels are like my favorite i just love the contrast 18 by 10 plus 41 are the specs for the t37s i like it where it pokes a little bit so i'm actually running a 15 millimeter spacer from ebay i think i paid around like 30 bucks or something like that and the volk racing stickers got these custom-made i paid around 40 for those so the te37 alone costs three thousand six hundred and fifty six dollars for every single wheel the complete set for the car and then for the tires got these off ebay as well uh these cost around three hundred and fifty dollars for the complete set so the tires are running two 15 40 18s got a little bit of stretch going on just so we don't rub onto the fenders i actually rolled the rear fenders or had somebody do it so we can tuck the wheel perfectly and um achieve the fitment that i wanted it's 60 for that just to roll the two rear fenders a nice clean roll pretty much got the fitment that i wanted and um perfect because the wheel does not rub on the fender whatsoever we got like millimeters it is so tight yeah to achieve the wheel fitment that i wanted to get that little tug we actually had to add some suspension arms in the back so we got some cusco lower control arms in the back as well as varus toe arms i got about like a round negative four camber in the rear not too much like i said i just wanted to tuck a little bit in the fender can't see the toe arms but those cost me around 294.95 try to get you guys to see the lower control arms see the cusco blue right there those cost me five hundred and sixteen dollars and sixty cents on super speed it is recommended to get an alignment after you throw all those suspension arms on because it's probably gonna be all out of whack and your toes gonna be off i paid a hundred dollars for the alignment on the wx to get this thing sitting right overall i'm really happy with the fitment this right here has to be like my favorite angle of the car you can just see the white wheels and just how clean the fitment is what do you guys think let me know down in the comment section below do you guys like this type of fitment like the stamped look or do you guys like prefer the fat tire the meaty track stance look like we have on the frs right now yeah moving on as you can see we got some super dark windows they are very illegal especially from the area that i'm from we're down in california right now on the front we have a 40 windshield tint as you can see you literally cannot see inside you can kind of see the steering wheel a little bit but at night you cannot see in the car whatsoever and i like that i got the tint because of privacy and just the overall look it gives the car just makes it look so much more aggressive moving on to the side we have limo tints we got five percent right here five percent right here and also five percent on the back window limo tints all around aside from the windshield i lost the receipt but i believe i paid around 450 to get pretty much every single window tinted on the wrx moving on to the rear we have the f1 brake light right here at the bottom so we have the black base clear lens with a white led bar this goes for 169 dollars on super speed gives that nice little strobe effect when you hit the brakes and it's just a nice small detail to add to the rear end give this car a little bit of character while we're on the rear we have the olm tail lights by super speed i believe these are called the evolution tail lights these cost around 549 dollars and as we're talking about this there's a cop rolling up awkward thank you appreciate that parts and all that yeah he showed me guys who like even like photographers who just like make a living yeah dude the internet is crazy what's that one guy he's like fairly like he just takes pictures of cars do you think man take it easy shout out to the cop man good guy anyways and you can't miss it but we got the huge save on carbon fiber trunk with the integrated duck bill on it this alongside the tow mate took around like three months to come in because they're super back ordered these parts are in very high demand the sabon carbon fiber trunk costs 1 08 dollars [Applause] damn bro now moving on to the arrow of the car so as you can see we got a matching front lip some side skirts as well as rear spots in the front we have a carbon fiber a cs style front lip that is unfortunately broken um i thought i was fully aired up when we were leaving a little uh eating spot and i just destroyed this thing on this manhole literally split it in half which is super sad because this is honestly my favorite front lip but yeah it is what it is but this lip costs a whopping 525 moving on to the side we have matching side skirts like i said a cs style carbon fiber side skirts these go for 559 dollars last but not least on the arrow we have carbon fiber rear spats to match pretty much the rest of the car moving forward and these carbon fiber rear spats cost 225 dollars kind of recent on the car but we do have a gloss black roof wrap going on pretty much to match the dark windows before you know we had the dark window tint and then right here was just a massive piece of red and then it just went back to the dark windows and the carbon fiber trunk as you can see it flows much better now especially with the trunk the dark windows it just flows so good with the gloss black roof i honestly have yet to do the little shark pin antenna because that thing is super hard to wrap yeah the roof wrap costs 73.99 on amazon and i'll go and have that link down in the description below just remembered but last but not least as you can see my headlights are actually oem the first mod that i actually did in this car was i actually opened these up threw these in the oven baked them and then split the lens apart got rid of all the chrome because i was just not a fan of how bright the chrome was on the stock headlights so we spray painted the inside a nice black it just looks like 100 times better in my opinion cleans up the front end a little bit and it just makes the front end look way more aggressive with the blacked out headlights i believe i got like two cans of like high temperature black spray paint i want to say i paid around like 15 bucks around there just to spray the two headlights on the front all right guys so i think i pretty much covered everything that we have on the wrx parts wise um as far as the interior you know where stock didn't really add anything to the interior whatsoever but as far as the outside performance wise and exterior that was all the mods that we have on the wrx that we put on in the past i want to say six seven eight months been quite of a journey and a lot has been done a lot of progress has been made i think it looks good for my personal taste and i'm just really really happy with how the car has come along so far shout out to all you guys watching without you guys wouldn't even be possible but right here in my phone i calculated the total cost you guys wanted all these parts on your wrx and the total right here is fourteen thousand six hundred and twenty seven dollars and seventy cents you know a lot of you guys are saying you're looking into building one you're trying to save money now and um i hope this video kind of gave you guys a rough idea of how much money to put aside you know give or take a few bucks i probably missed maybe a few things especially maintenance wise you know i didn't really add oil changes or anything like that but almost fifteen thousand dollars i think the frs was a little bit more uh i believe it was a little bit more by a few grand but i was not expecting it fourteen thousand dollars i did not think it would be this much to be honest yeah i hope you guys enjoyed today's video like i said hope it helped if you
