hello everyone and welcome to the most requested video I've gotten since I went to Japan my Japanese art supply hull video yep this is everything I bought while in Japan that is art related and I am very super excited to get into these supplies so let's do this haul video so I thought I would start off with my craziest purchase and probably the one you guys are the most excited about I went for it I got a 36 set of Copic Sketch markers I know that's quite a crazy commitment total this was a fourteen thousand seven hundred yen which comes to about a hundred and thirty US dollars so I kind of felt like at three dollars and sixty cents of marker I couldn't resist just kind of going for it while I was in Japan because I know these markers are five to six dollars in North America so I went for it and now I own a 36 set of Copic markers which I'm very excited to see how they work because you guys have been begging me to try them I've heard so much about them next up I bought some copic multiliners because I thought it would be fun to just stick with the Copic brand with my liners I went ahead and got a point one and point five because those are sizes I often use with my micron pens and I didn't want to buy a lot of them because they're about five dollars a marker and I know that I'm not gonna use my copics too much so I just got two sizes that I knew I would use now I am leaving the price tag on these supplies just because I think it would be interesting for you guys to see how much everything costs in Japan compared to America now you are going to have to convert this so 540 again is not five hundred forty dollars it's about five dollars you're gonna have to use Google to look exactly what that is I just looked it up 540 yen is four dollars and seventy five cents US dollars next up I picked up quite a few pasta pins while I was in Japan because as you guys know I've been using a lot of pasta pins in my illustrations and these puppies were only two dollars a piece that's right two dollars a piece in Japan whereas here in Canada these range from five to six to even ten dollars depending on how fat of a one you get now I'm mostly focused on colors I don't have so there's actually a lot of dull ones like khaki green this dark red and this fuchsia but I also got some liners in different colors because I did some black lines and my illustrations recently and I loved it so I thought I would get some different color liners so this is all my pasta pen next up I got a couple of pin Telegraph gear at mechanical pencils I have been using my mechanical pencil from a pack of my confidence and it's a good pencil but it's very light and I wanted to commit to some really more heavy pencils I suppose also something else that I love about these pencils you can tell what led you are using if you change your led by popping this out this is the eraser and you can change the firmness of the lead I'm sure that's like really basic to a lot of people but I didn't know that was a thing and I loved it next up I bought a bunch of sakura micron pins now I know what you're thinking Casey those aren't micron pins actually they're exactly the same as these tan ones that you find North America for some reason in Japan they make them in this cool blue and gold color so I thought it would be a really interesting and fun I guess souvenir to bring back would be these exclusively Japan that sucker micron pin now something I did notice about these guys for some reason their PN is actually called fine and I don't know why cuz they're exactly the same I guess Japan just wanted to call it fine whereas in North America it's called PN for plastic nib interesting when I came back home I looked these guys up on Amazon just to see if you can get them they are about six dollars each so you can't get them if you really want them but these guys were just 200 yen in Japan which is about a dollar seventy five ish I think I did buy those micron pens partially because I was starting to inktober walls in Japan so I wanted to get some other things for inktober I got this D liter wide out so that when I do mess up with my inking I can have something to write out my mistakes it's just a little simple little guy just to undo those those bad inking jobs this is the pad of paper that I have been using for my inktober and how I really don't know much about this pad of paper it just says graffiti block 50 sheets creative work design shop and that's about it it doesn't say what kind of paper it is but it's okay I guess I just wanted to make sure it was thick enough to handle inking and it is something I noticed about Japan is that a lot of the paper seems really thin in the sketchbooks so I don't know this is what I use Frank Tober that which I will be doing a tour later on I did buy a lot of paper and sketchbooks wallows in Japan even though I'm probably not going to use them for many years I could not resist because I did just want to try a bunch of different kinds of paper so I've got this cute little sketchbook I just couldn't resist it it's just pretty dang adorable it's just a simple ringed sketchbook notebook sort of thing nothing special to the paper is very thin next up is this art spiral notebook I just thought it was really cute how it came tied up it also came in lots of different colors but I chose red because I liked the way it looked it's got a lot of thicker paper than the previous sketchbook I showed you guys and it's also very textured you probably can't see that but I'm excited to maybe use some markers on here I don't think it'll bleed through quite as much as a regular sketchbook next up is this botanical watercolor paper it's very thin it's only 210 G which is a lot of thinner than I like to use for my watercolor paper I thought it was really hard to find really thick watercolor paper that I wanted in Japan I don't know why they work a lot thinner with their paper but hopefully I can do some light watercolors on this guy I just thought it was interesting I don't know if there's a flower on it I just wanted to try paper next up is this whole vein saunder water Ford white artist watercolor paper thankfully it is 300g so you know it's thick enough for me this is also a block which means all of the sides are glued together this helps the paper from wrinkling quite as much it's something that I've never actually used so I'm quite excited to try it you see here on the back of shows cut it away so I'm pretty excited to try this one this was 1,350 again so maybe 11 dollars or so next up I got this whole vein watercolor paper collection now something I really struggled with this one was finding out what G it was thankfully in Japan they really like to have samples out for you to look out so each of these papers I had I could actually touch something and see if I really liked it so I knew this was thick because it's very thick it's also very textured which again you probably can't see that probably the most textured paper I've seen so I'm pretty excited to try this one and this one was actually 1500 yen so about thirteen dollars our last piece of paper is this Windsor Newton Cottman watercolor paper in the f4 rough variety again it's really cute it's got this little tie here and I just really wanted a large watercolor paper spiral sort of situation that I could maybe fill up with studies or just fill up with illustrations or concepts it is very rough indeed probably again at the roughest paper I am seen so I'm pretty excited to maybe one day fill this bad boy so you might be thinking Casey did you buy any watercolor what sort of Japanese watercolor to Dubai I didn't I didn't buy any watercolors I just feel like I have so many watercolors at the moment especially some that I haven't even opened so I didn't want to buy any more watercolors while I was there plus I I decided to get kopecks instead but here's a tiny little watercolor thing the tiniest little cutest watercolor ceramic tray I just I couldn't resist it's just so small and it's so cute next is something that I didn't really know existed until it was later on that I used this art supplies it is a scream tone eraser is meant to erase screen tone and create gradients or just remove the screen tone I didn't know about it until I already done my video and played around with it but now I have a little screen Tony eraser so now it is time to get into the more andum that sort of stuff that is still technically our supplies I got these little wooden blocks to create stamps because I've been wanting to make stamps with my aunt's or just stamps in general so I also got this block to create the stamp and then put it on a wood block so that you can I guess hold on to it better I also got a few tools to cut away the materials there were so many varieties but I decided to just stick with these three and hope that that was all I was going to need so I'm excited to make some an stamps or something I'm very excited speaking of stamps you can't go to Japan and not just buy a bunch of useless crap you don't need so next up I have some already pre-made stamps that I just thought were so dang adorable and I couldn't resist they're just so cute what am I gonna do with them I don't know but they're silly and cute and I got them because yeah also some little inks in some earthy tones because you know me I just wanted some colored inks this is more of a stationary thing but I got these pencil markers to use in my I guess my planner and stuff like that if you recall my sketchbooks lame I had some cat shaped ones but I kind of liked these pencil ones a lot more next is a pencil pouch that I have been eyeing online for a long time and I know I did just buy a pencil pouch but this is something that I kind of forgot about because I didn't want to pay for shipping and I saw it in Japan and I was like I gotta have it so what I really like about this pencil pouch is that you unzip it and then you pull it down and all of your pens and pencils and stuff are sitting there ready to use I just think it'd be really cool for when I'm in a coffee shop with friends or something and I don't want to display all my stuff but I want to see everything that's in there I just really like it I think it's a very nice pencil pouch now this is something I cannot actually show you guys but I'll give you a sneak peek what you're looking at blurred of course is about $80 in erasers yes look forward to a Japanese eraser haul video in the future it's over 50 erasers probably over 60 this is the last thing in the hall it's not really art related it's more of I guess art desk related these are some organizational tools that I found and I just fell in love with them they are just so cool let's take a look so our first little guy here just looks like a simple box right well if you open it up your pins are displayed okay now all of your pins are out and ready for you to use instead of having them sticking straight up and down uh what a bother they're pointing towards you for those of you that saw my workstation tour you know that I'm obsessed with these sort of brown paper II things so I really just couldn't I couldn't resist once again this big boy just looks like a regular box but open it up Wow I just think it was so cool I'm probably just blown away by the fact that I've never seen something like this before but there it is I also can't get over the fact that they suggest that you decorate them it's so cute and that is that for everything art related that I bought in Japan I hope you guys enjoyed this haul video maybe you learned a thing or two I would definitely suggest going to Japan because buying the supplies there is a lot cheaper I know an expensive ticket doesn't really justify buying cheap art supplies but if you do want to know Japan definitely check out art stores I will have all the art stores I went to in the description be sure to check them out and this doesn't even include the supplies I bought for a future giveaway what a giveaway that's right one day I'm gonna win but one day and I will see you guys in the next video bye you
