How Inzaghi is Redefining Attacking Football

fullback and the three Defenders shifting to create a back four buildup structure this allows the right wing back in either Damian or dumre to gain ground on the right pinning the opposition's defender in place this deep line of five players three midfielders and three players on the defensive line instantly gives into a lot of options and it usually means the opposition will need to push high up the pitch to cover all the players and this is the space they want to instantly exploit from goal kicks if there space they can look for a central ball into Chanel Ogo who then has support to riing on creating chances early whether it's with direct attacks in behind or with a number of different players pushing forward there's a reason why inter have been so dominant in attack this season however their attack is only half the story and a big reason behind their success is also their defensive shape defensively in have come a long way from their counterattacking days under con and their 352 is much more aggressive when out of possession in the area back three formations are extremely popular and against these in will match up man for man the wing backs will push forward and Barella is the player to pick up the extra Center back with one of the Defenders picking up the extra player in Midfield here's an example of this structure against Atletico who also played in a 352 we see the wing back high up the pit with Griezmann being covered by the center back and all the players in attack being covered against back four formations the 352 also works extremely well against fantina players means inter have been extremely difficult to break down often forcing long balls and regaining possession between the lines as the opposition gained ground the wing backs will drop to form a the aggressive nature of the Midfield and Wing backs does leave Central gaps that the opposition can exploit what I love about in and inagi from this season is how they've been able to transform a
