[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] what's up guys alan bailey here so a couple weeks ago i came out with a youtube video why i switched my training so if you have not watched that yet go watch that first and then come back to this so today we are training with dan been training with dan for six seven eight months who knows uh and there's some reasons behind that so that's why i want you to go check out that video first but a lot of you watch the video and then ask like hey i want to see like a full what what does this actually look like what does this athletic training actually look like so without further ado i'm gonna get started [Applause] let's go do what i do work like a [Music] okay so after the dynamic warm-up you've got a hundred barbell power cleans you can break them up however you want you can do ten sets of ten you can do one set of a hundred i don't care how you do it but full squats with all of them 100 whoa that's harder than i thought ah for now we'll see how long that lasts oh [Music] so today's gonna be a big day that's mostly core and single leg stability stuff like those are two big areas that she's been wanting to focus on for the past two months we're really trying to focus on balance coordination proprioception and today we're going to tackle all of that you know the big thing with athletes is the more stable you are the better that you can perform and what's cool about this too is the more core stability that you have it transfers into her bodybuilding and more powerlifting style moves which you know i think is something that a lot of us miss more core you have the better that you can perform with the squat the lift the power clean etc i ain't trying to break you down but for real you might as well give up now think you got a chance but i don't see how got a real tight grip when i hold that crown my life been good and bad and all around the more things i lost the more i found one thing i taught myself to do no matter the problem refuse to lose [Music] [Music] legs straight out to me out [Music] so this next one is a single leg rotational jump so the idea is we go over both shoulders we'll start on one leg and single leg stance but we end up on the opposite leg so when i do snowboard tricks hinge at the waist pause knee up high good good why does that look so far away i just feel like that's really far is it far no no it's the same as we did last time six feet so remember technique right leave with the hips not pulling with the hands lead with the hips exhale as you lay elbows bent as you land yeah that ain't no thing oh my goodness that was scary elbows bends at the landing great knees up turn it around all right hands narrow big swing remember you're not not gonna hit your head oh my god you're good nice job four more [Music] hit round's on the assault bike so it's a four minute hit round 20 seconds on 10 seconds off 20 seconds you're going to be going as hard as you can here and then you're dropping to the floor into plank position holding for 20. okay so the idea here is we're moving as fast and as hard as possible and then we're gonna go do something where there's no movement at all that makes it horrible but the idea with it is is that you've got to be able to recover your heart rate in that period where you're not moving so taking really deep breath is going to be key here deep deep breath 15. high plank round three at the back thank you drop your hips [Music] oh no music no sounds [Music] focusing on what you can control here your breath your attitude your emotion focus on what you can control that's what makes you great your breath your attitude your body breathe into done great job great job product placement oh that's a good sweat angel ah we're halfway done this is one of the things that dana's actually really good at is these hurdles especially the lateral single egg hurdle stuff just watch it's to the impressive like a elbow fingers getting stuck to the money velcro will i ever fail that's a hell no well known to og like a pair of shell toes never mad just motivated we going and life is a game so it come with stages we only traded money we not trading places richie franklin's is my favorite only face i'm ever safe working hard for that number one spot no we could never [Music] is [Music] work [Music] nice job last hit round you ready [Music] no so you're going to have this around your waist it's going to sit right at your waist and i'm going to be behind you putting pressure on the other end of the band but you're going to be running in place with high knees the other moves i'll hold this in place and you're kicking up one foot at a time getting like full kicks with your heel into the ball right so my my idea here is we work we work quads in the quads and then hamstrings quads in high knee hamstrings and this so quick kicks high knees 20 on 10 off [Music] every single time no 20 seconds [Music] starting in three two kicking as hard as you can you got little legs i forgot i gotta roll it down even more come on harder harder two rest yo higher knees higher knees higher knees [Music] 15. that was way harder than i thought i got a side stitch halfway through so it made like breathing really hard i those like kicks i thought were going to be easy like after like five seconds my hamstrings you should know by now nothing we do is easy remember even the simplest things kind of peed a little bit you are not cool unless you pee your pants so what i liked about today is obviously there were some points where i was struggling on things and um even getting over like weird fears like i don't uh like what is that called when you just the bar transfers like machines oh my gosh ah those you used to scare just letting go of a bar and flying through the air and then grabbing another bar i don't know why it just used to scare me i think it was just all my years of bodybuilding like trying not to injure like you don't do those like jolting movements because you're like oh i might hurt myself and no one wants to hurt themselves but that stuff used to scare me and now we just like put it at six feet and i hop on and i just do it and so it's conquering like little fears getting over things that i'm struggling with and working working working until you get some good reps so there's always like progress in the workout and then throughout the weeks just continuing to progress so and then i was pretty pumped on uh so i've never been really able to do a pistol squat so i honestly didn't think i was going to be able to do that at all and i did it yeah every week is progress so that's the most exciting part so i hope this gives you a little inspiration to maybe step outside of your normal training try something new try something different and maybe even just a certain skill work on that certain skill so you're always progressing at something so other than that thank you dan for being my only trainer i've never had a trainer in my life and now i'm never going to get rid of them so don't ever move away until next time make sure you follow rasta runner on his instagram page full of great content so he has tons of informational videos so you just pick a couple of those videos and try them out in your next workout so thank you guys we'll see you next time [Music] you
