hello guys this is velana from conway cosplay and as some of you maybe know i'm a huge fan of the monster under games i already played three four generations stories one stone two monster in the world and right right i think i didn't forget anyone yeah i absolutely love the gameplay i love the really cute monsters like nergigante and sinogra are my favorites and yes i love especially all the absolutely amazing amazon and this is also the reason why i made already quite some costumes from these games so this is part 2 of my brand new crafting adventure where i'm going to show you how i make the glorious bone armor and i already showed you in one of my previous videos how i met the helmet so check this out in case you missed it and today i'm going to show you like uh how i made the upper part of the amore and like some people already asked me but camry why are you actually using a low rank armor and like these people are obviously noob fellow hunters because you can use transmogrification in the game and use it as a layout armor and just look awesome forever and this project involves a lot of sewing so in case you want to create something similar and need help i have a sewing for beginners book full of helpful tutorials check that out on comedycosplay.com and now let's start with crafting so even though i'm doing the version from one standard i still use the model from one standard world as my main reference it just has a better resolution and most of the parts look identical anyway and as you can surely see the armor design is really awesome i was so excited i usually like to start with the most challenging part of the costume here it was the bra and the shoulder parts the first step was to get some perfectly fitting patterns as you can see i simply wrapped myself first in plastic wrap and duct tape and drew on the shape of my bra on top this was the result i cut myself free separated the whole thing into smaller pieces and then got an awesome template for the next steps my choice of material was this lovely four letter i found online now i basically just had to copy all pieces onto the material and cut them out as you can see i added a lot of sew allowance all around to connect everything i prefer to work with these fabric clips i also added a seam left and right this simply helped to keep the material in shape next it was time for a little cuddle break with midna to complete the base shape of my bra i simply had to sew one piece to the next then i attached the left and right side and tada looked good so far afterwards i sewed all around the edges to finish them and this was the rough bra safari but i wanted some lining to make it a little bit more pretty so i picked up my patterns again made a second bra out of jersey clipped both pieces together did some sewing by hand and this looked already so much better don't you think next i added some brighter acrylic paint around the edges with a brush and benny used an old sock to weather the rest with some black color this made the material just more believable and gave it a realistic look well and finally only some eyelets and red strings were missing i absolutely love adding these final details to a costume piece even though it's often pretty time consuming oh and then i almost killed my fingertips with all the decorative stitching this was honestly the most annoying part and took forever to finish but once i added the red string at the end and the bra was finally done i was super happy looks good right next i did the shoulder parts i actually really like working with duct tape since it's super versatile this time i used the darker version of my faux leather traced my patterns onto it cut some volume fleece out glued it onto the fabric i'm using gutermann ht2 fabric glue by the way super awesome stuff and clipped two layers together once i sewed all around the shape i turned the whole thing inside out and secured the edge this project involved a lot of fabric clips oh and then i made a second thing since the first one was too small yes it happens then it was finally time for all the fluffy faux fur it was actually very difficult to find the right color and quality so i ended up ordering a lot of samples sadly though i wasn't really happy with any of them but luckily you can change the color of the armor in-game so i just went with the ones i liked the most so next i glued on some white fur sewed it onto my shoulder and then also some brown one now this still looked pretty rough right to bring it more into shape i first trimmed the hair a little bit shorter and then grabbed my little steamer to flatten everything finally i used good old copic markers to die defer a little bit and kept on destroying my fingertips afterwards now to finish the top i had to do the flappies i made the patterns freehand here traced them to full leather and fabric sewed both layers together and turned them inside out these steps looked always super easy and simple but just doing the flappies took me several hours by the way as you might have noticed an important detail was still missing the bone armor obviously needed bones plenty of bones so i grabbed some good old foam clay and started sculpting i had to create around 200 bones in total and all of them had to be sanded primed with several layers of flex flexbond painted with airbrush colours sealed with matte spray varnish covered in oil paint cleaned with brush cleaner required additional details and finally had to get a last layer of spray varnish that's a lot of work for a few bones afterwards i filled the ends with hot glue added those little strings and attached them to my faux leather pieces i totally love these details but making all the bones was an incredible amount of work then i glued on the flappies as well i wasn't quite happy yet though the shoulder part just needed a little bit more stability foam should do the job for this i basically just cut out two layers covered both with contact cement and carefully connected them to a curved shape on my dress form next i got rid of the excess materials and as you can see the result kept its form perfectly all i had to do now was to add plenty of fabric glue onto it and attach my fluffy shoulder pieces on top finally i only needed some velcro for the attachment one of the last details was actually the super cute necklace which was also completely sculpted with foam clay for the joker i made also a few of these tiny bones added some red cord here and there sewed a base or the faux leather and just glued on bone by bone with fabric glue super simple but i think it looked pretty cool well and now let's check out the result as you can also see getting into the costume should be really easy and i absolutely love how the top turned out okay the next part required far more bones it was this here and since i already showed you everything previously let's pretend i wasn't desperate at all and all the bones were done super fast zalana the master of bones next i made a piece out of faux leather for my upper arms it held together with velcro by the way then i added some thicker cords here and there and glued on all the bones it turned out that this bottle of smoke fluid had the perfect shape of my arms and it was super helpful during the gluing part finally i added some silicone tape to the inside so these things wouldn't slip down at the end and as you can see it fit perfectly and now we are already coming to the final costume part of this video the bracers i used here my standard bracer pattern which you can also find in my shop by the way the shape wasn't quite perfect yet so i traced it onto paper and adjusted it a bit i worked here again with three layers of fabric which you already saw at the shoulder piece i actually really like adding volume fleece since it makes everything a little bit thicker and less wobbly hey by the way how do you like my t-shirt benny made it okay let's fast forward the next steps a little bit but yeah i basically glued on some volume fleece next turned it inside out sewed along the edges and this was the finished base of the bracer afterwards i just added some velcro and that's pretty much how i get in and out to create a bone part on top i traced the bracer shape onto paper roughly made a sketch and traced the den onto eva foam gluing together two layers is actually one of my favorite techniques to shape the material and it worked here great as well after adding some textures with my dremel this is how the finished piece looked painted the braces just needed a little bit of extra fluff and then the extra fluff required a little bit of extra shaping then i added a lot of fabric glue onto the bone piece and attached this part carefully onto the fabric just had to press everything properly together and made sure the smaller bone piece looked good as well some of the last details were this little bone claws which i simply hot glued onto the larger piece for the gloves i traced the shape of my hands onto stretchy for leather pinned the two layers together and sewed all around i cut off the fingertips turned the glove inside out and ta-da got some perfectly fine looking leather gloves now let's try the braces on ah i was so happy with the result works for cuddling corgis as well well and finally this was then the whole upper part of my bone armor it's bony it's fluffy it's cuddly i love it [Music] this part was now completely done and i was incredibly satisfied with the look of the leather the fur and all the fluffy details coming together i hope you like it as well in the next video i'm going to show you how i made the bottom part of the costume the hips legs and the shoes so please stay tuned so now that's half of the costume done i still have to do more bones and also have to keep on destroying my poor finger with the hand stitching so this was just half of it and in the next part of the video series i'm going to show you how i made the hip part and also like the leg armor so more is still coming and yeah but i'm really really happy with the costume so far i'm really satisfied with its overall look and i hope you enjoyed the whole crafting process as well i know this video took a while and i'm really sorry for that but like the footage of that were like i think six hours in total
