how did Darth Vader actually feel about Palpatine being the one behind the entirety of the Clone Wars greetings acolytes and welcome back to the archives despite the fact that Anakin would have a hand in destroying the Jedi Order and pledging his loyalty to cyas it's hard to imagine that Vader wouldn't have feelings concerning the three most pivotal years of his life and the fact that it was all a lie Vader had been all too eager to take up Palpatine's offer for the dark side because at the time the only person that was on his mind was Padme during those rough few weeks where Anakin was losing sleep over his fear of his wife's death he was willing to do anything to save her it was this desire and his Fury with the Jedi that led him to ultimately betray them in order to save her however despite becoming a Sith Lord fully aligned with the Empire Vader truly did care about the galactic peace and security which is why we find it difficult to believe that Vader would simply sweep under the rug that his own master was the cause behind the war that killed so many of the ones that he loved the war which separated from his wife the same War which Anakin saw so many of his friends slaughtered while we know that Vader despised his master cyas for many reasons what were his actual feelings about Palpatine being behind the Clone War from the beginning well today join us my friends as we dive into the complex Quagmire that is the mind of Darth Vader and uncover the truth of how the Sith Lord views the Clone War Anakin and the chancellor were standing across from one another in Palpatine's office the young Skywalker had just igned ignited his lightsaber and leveled the blue blade right at Palpatine's throat Anakin has just learned from his suret father and Mentor that he had been a Sith Lord that they had all been looking for all of the horrific implications of such a discovery crashed down at once the entire War had been a sham nothing but a game underneath a single Mastermind everyone playing their parts as Pawns in this moment we can see all of the trust for Palpatine and Anakin's eyes drain like a busted hourglass with the sand dripping this man who had been his only Confidant and trusted friend the only person in the Galaxy that Anakin felt truly understood him he was the monster in the shadow he had orchestrated the deaths of millions the man that led the separatist Uprising which cost all the lives of Anakin's Troopers and fellow Jedi the horrors of the war that had fundamentally changed Skywalker disfiguring him both mentally and physically this could all be attributed to Palpatine yuku Grievous Ventress the problems with the Senate The Untold piles of bodies in the Galaxy all of this was a trail of flesh and blood that trickled from Palpatine's Insidious right hand the two had only had a few words to say to one another as Palpatine ask Anakin if he's going to kill him with a trembling voice dripping with white hot rage Anakin says that he would certainly like to the only thing that stays his hand now was his confusion in the novelization for revenge of the Sith we are told through Anakin's eyes how he wants nothing more than to Ram his blad straight through cyas his chest to finish the chase to close the chapter of the Clone Wars and to close the chapter on the Sith but Anakin is unable to do this because first the Jedi Code the guilt he felt over executing Dooku the way that he did weighed heavily on his mind but the real reason was that he couldn't understand how Palpatine could truly be this blackhearted evil Sith the man that Anakin had grown up fearing had been the man that he trusted a man who comforted him and led him to be a better person in a time when the Jedi dismissed Anakin's concerns and emotions if Palpatine was so evil why had he been such a caring father to Anakin these questions and more buzzed in his mind so much that it was making him dizzy but resolutely Anakin declares that he is going to do the right thing to turn Palpatine over to the Jedi Council Anakin is conflicted but he believes that he is doing the right thing but as the story goes on all of Anakin's duties as a Jedi and the guardian of the galaxy is tread underfoot of his concerns about Padme this eclipses his mind the death of his wife we all know how it goes Anakin made his decision but purely because of his wife's sake but that of course would come to nothing with leaving Anakin without his wife friends life and even his old body once it was all said and done there was nothing for Darth Vader except except the Empire and his master cyas Vader realized the ultimate trap of the dark side but he was too far gone in the first weeks within his suit Vader would sulk on his failure all about how life had been unfair how it had all crumbled away in a single day and during one of his ruminations we finally get to see Vader's mind swing around to a rather forgotten topic of Palpatine's most egregious sin what we do know is that Vader and cidus never really talked of the Clone Wars nor did Vader ever actually discover the true depths of his master's plan but he didn't really need to Vader could follow the red yarn himself and see the entire mination become unraveled and of course Vader was filled with hatred for cyas in fact in the rise and fall of Darth Vader Vader confirms to us that it is indeed his plan to get revenge on Palpatine once he and Padme were in a position of rulership the second that Palpatine revealed himself to be a Sith Lord anak truly did hate him this is what the novel says in fact he hadn't killed the Jedi to serve cyas though cyas was meant to believe that it was just that in his arrogance cyas was unaware that Anakin had seen through him had the Sith Lord thought he would simply shrug off the fact that from the start cyas had been manipulating Anakin and the war no he hadn't killed the Jedi in service to cyas or for that matter to demonstrate allegiance to the order of the Sith he had executed uted Cy's command because the Jedi would have never understood Anakin's decision to sacrifice mace Wu in order that Padme May survive the tragic death she suffered in Anakin's Visions more important the Jedi would have attempted to stand in the way of the decisions he and Padme would have needed to make regarding the fate of the Galaxy beginning with the assassination of cyas oh but on mustar she had worked herself into a state over what he had done at the temple so much that she hadn't heard a word that he was saying to her instead she had made up her mind that he had come to care more about power than he ever cared for her as if one matters without the other and then the cursed Obi-Wan had shown himself interrupting before Anakin could explain fully that everything that he had done in Palpatine's office and in the temple had all been for her sake and that of their unborn child had Obi-Wan not arrived he would have persuaded her to understand he would have made her understand and together they would have moved against the Sith Lord here Vader's feelings are finally revealed the first being that he is still very clearly missed the mark Vader's mind is Warped by the dark side and his own lust for power that he was literally incapable of seeing what he was doing to Padme he couldn't see that Padme someone who was always advocated for peace and protection of life would be heartbroken by him slaughtering the Jedi including children and then trying to conquer the Galaxy in her name the tragedy is that despite everything he went through Vader misses the entire point of this interaction but we also learn that Anakin planned on killing Palpatine the moment that it was convenient to Vader cidus was the way to rid the galaxy of the Jedi and establish a new Empire that he would rule in the episode 3 novel there is a passage that Clues us into Anakin's thoughts on Mustafar Anakin describes how once he had gotten the information from Palpatine their relationship was going to undergo a deadly change Anakin planned from the beginning to rid the galaxy of the Sith as his Destiny foretold but with that the Jedi would be gone too leaving the most powerful being in the universe to make things the way that he and Padme wanted them no more war only Vader's rule Skywalker rule but of course as Vader mentions cidus would have been a fool to think that he would just let go of the events of the Clone War Anakin had to watch so many of his friends suffer and die because of that war including the Clones that he led in the 501st and other friends but the ultimate cruelty was that cyas had once used those same clones that the Jedi grew fondness for to betray and Destroy them following order 66 Vader no longer trusted the clones and couldn't even stand to be around them the men who were his friends that he fought and died beside had been corrupted too this is another one of the instances that makes it important to remember that for Vader becoming a Sith Lord was an acquired taste it was not a quick and an easy Road Vader hated that the truth of it all he too had been a pawn for Palpatine a cruel joke to his punchline and now he was still a slave to him in truth he hated him for the Clone Wars and he hated him for who he really was but anyway my friends and acolytes what are your thoughts on this what are your thoughts on 's opinion of the Clone Wars and Palpatine being the man behind everything as always my friends thank you so much for watching the video today and as always May the force be with you
