what's up crunchyroll miyabides [Music] hello hello how's it going ladies and gentlemen thank you for having me no worries thank you for being here to do this uh this question and answer interview i want to ask about your history with anime first off what was the first anime you watched and how old were you you know the biggest inspiration in my work was like dragon ball or akira but the first one i think you know thing to say yeah yes yeah i think dragon ball just started their anime around that i think i was five or six seven thing i was practicing how to do kamehameha you know every day just like every kid who watched dragon ball they yeah they tried to do their own coming out i know i still believe that we can do it somehow yeah i'm doing that with my guitar you heard it here miyabi makes kamehameha with this guitar so also we know that you performed in several anime conventions does the experience differ from your other live shows when you perform at a at a con yeah it's totally different you know it's uh it's a chaos it's a good place or a bad chaos oh good good chaos you know you know every time when i perform at the anime convention they just love it they just love being there that's it the passion is huge so we always get kind of overwhelmed and then they're watching the japanese anime and then it's a really cool cultural exchange it's really really great always love the experience how would you personally describe your guitar playing style [Music] chaotic gospel chaotic okay okay i got inspired by the shamisen japanese traditional instrument it's actually important for me to find something unique and distinct from other legendary guitarists in the whole world so i got inspired by sean saying kind of slap the strings once you hear the tone you recognize oh that's me at this point what do you think that makes anime special i think it's all about imagination and it's really it's freedom you know you can go anywhere if you do that live action it takes time but animation of course it takes time for sure but yeah it's more freedom and then there's a possibility and a space for the extended kind of story you know you can go anywhere yeah that's why i really like dragon ball or one piece that kind of you know stories of it can expand you can you know add more characters it's really really fascinating um so about your music influence with anime i know you've worked with the tokyo ghoul mangaka for tokyo i was working with emma it's great you know while i was in l.a you know i see that poster of tokyo yeah and in little tokyo or everywhere like yeah it's really popular you know even in a bookstore in europe i see tokyo ghoul yeah so um i was really really into that anime and i think it's an author sui comes to my show sometimes oh really okay yeah and he's really really cool he's really pure and he always into his creation and that's that kind of what we you know we originated to each other the artwork is really you know cool that he he yeah yeah yeah how is it making music for anime is it different from making music in their own personal what was it closest the process was the same you know i always get inspired by the story our mission is to express the feeling based on the story so anime already has it you know the world color the message so it's actually easier than my real album yeah because you're given like the plot and the the characters and the yeah yeah yeah so another question about anime how has anime influenced your fashion you know jojo jojo yeah i think i'm pretty good to you know i think you'll be a good job to give you a pretty good job right yeah yeah i think yeah really close to that level and also you know the dragon ball for sure it's like you know this time actually you know trunks the vibes you know from from the future it's like the hair he's got the sword in his back he's got a nice jacket yeah yeah i don't have the sword so that's why i had a guitar but it's a that's uh the vibes you know that's deep in me already so it comes out naturally last question for you has anime been helping past the time during your quarantine corona stay home yeah i mean anime music or even performing arts especially live performance we don't have a place to express ourselves anymore because people cannot gather of course the lifeline the water uh food and everything is more important but the power of art you know always gives us more hope and a future to me doing a quarantine that's music with my daughters because you know i was supposed to shoot the movies or i was supposed to have a tour in japan but they all cancel our postponed and then what we do and then the arts and creation gives us a future oh it's okay it's gonna be okay we can get over this somehow and it connects people and we are trying to find a way to get together now and that anime definitely has the strong power definitely brings people yeah yeah yeah the music and anime is really really well connected because there's a story there's a message there's a you know creativity so that's why i always have fun to make music for anime and then i love to do more thank you so much miyabi for for being in the same review thank you thank you so much bye bye [Music] peace you
