Honeymooners to Families, Our Favorite Kauai Resort!

we just finished four lovely nights at the clo Landing Resort we had a great time this isn't our first time here it's not our first rodeo so let me take you through it and figure out if this is the right place for you to stay hi I'm Jordan and I'm Erica and this is the Hawaii vacation [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] guy that is a c thing [Music] [Applause] ever all right so we have just checked in getting settled we have a two-bedroom villa which is perfect because we are traveling with grandparents and so that's fun so we have a kitchen here they also have a stock your pantry option so you can pre-order some groceries so they're here when you arrive we didn't do that chucks next time we will so follow me it's mired on both sides we have a huge bedroom and a huge insane bathroom oh man this is good and also my heart is so happy because we have a washer dryer and let's face it kids get messy so we'll be using that a lot gosh it's beautiful Erica is a resident where to say expert so who's this hotel best for honestly this one's hard because it can be right for anyone from Honeymooners to like Generations taking a trip together which is what we're doing right now because the resort is so large it offers many different room types it has different amenities that would cater to different groups of people so I hate to say it's good for everyone but it kind of is we met Honeymooners here and then we've met families large families even like ourselves staying in the Villas and just enjoying themselves and like they have a ton of great kid activities and we'll get into the pool where the pool is absolutely epic yeah and there's also two other pools too one for adults only so like they really do a great job of getting to everybody where are we going T [Music] pool confession the first time we stayed here we didn't realize that there was actually three pools at the clo Landing we just stayed at the main pool the whole time cuz this main pool is absolutely epic and our kids do not want to leave it the main pool is voted the best pool in America by USA Today I think Erica says four times I haven't found that reference but she says four times it is amazing has an infinity pool at the top it's multiple levels the water comes down to all these different places you can take two water slides down it has a swi a grotto a waterfall Grotto multiple water waterfalls all over poolside bar it has a Holo Holo grill right next to it too it is just gorgeous got a Cabanas here so if you do like kids you hang out the kid pool where the kids can just walk right in or there's adult only pool which is really relaxing and tranquil it is just a fun pool the kids love it we just can spend all day here that's the idea when you stay at one of these like really nice resorts on Quai like you don't want to leave these resorts are made to just chill out and relax maybe say another place if you want to go explore the islands and be away all day here you want just be here all day long in this pool is a good pool to be here all day long for us one of my favorite Parts about this place is a low building density is a terminology it's a big property I think it's like 25 acres yeah probably correct me on that one but like they have these big Standalone buildings and like lots of grounds and we love lots of grounds for the kids to run around on so that's that's wonderful my favorite part if we're going to say our favorite part let's jump into our favorite part I would say my favorite part is like the laidback Vibe oh really yeah don't we feel that here totally I mean it even goes to like parking your own car you're not waiting for valet the service is excellent yeah and everybody's just so overly friendly they're like so friendly so helpful so lovely and just chill which is like what you want on your vacation right you don't want to feel like you're oh am I should am I breaking a rules should I be going here you know you know what I mean yes totally okay so the coloa landing Resort is located in po so it's about a half a mile from the shops at kuui Oola so you can walk there in about 10 minutes or they have a shuttle service or you can drive yourself if you have a car we're at kuui OA shopping center which is just like 9 minute walk from C Landing but why walk when they have a shuttle this wasn't here last time that we stay at the resort but now it's here just come up and they do loops drive you all around this area it's really [Music] convenient so there aren't a ton of restaurant options at the coloa Landing Resorts we are eating here at Holo Holo which is their breakfast lunch dinner poolside restaurant they also have the marketplace where you can get flatbreads you can get some pre-made sandwiches and salads and you can get some little snacks and stuff for your room and there's a free shuttle and you can take that to go to nearby dining there's everything from like hole in the- wall type places to Gourmet upscale auction so this is Southshore Kawaii right and this is up down the road from historic col town it's about 25 minutes from the airport 2530 yeah I will say the location is both a Pro and a drawback of this Resort so the location positive you're in Poipu it's very Central and you're Central in Poipu you are close to a shopping center the drawback of this Resort is its location is not on a beach so you can't walk out of your hotel room straight onto a beach you can walk to the ocean and watch a nice Sunset they have a shuttle service running so you can take a shuttle down to like the beaches in pooo or over to Baby Beach but it's not right on the beach [Music] positive affirmations are a great way to start your day I don't usually do yoga on the mainland but hey when you're on vacation you got to give it a try this morning we did Yin Yoga so there's a lot of activities here at the clor Landing Resort and when you make your reservation you'll get a link to the activity database you can book whatever activities work with your schedule so you are all set like for this one is really nice before dinner last night I got text message like hey join us for Yin Yoga I was like yeah I think I will that sounds lovely they also have lay making hoola classes ukulele lessons I mean there's a ton of great activities around here we're going to do s'mores later on the trip like a lot for the kids a lot for us just a lot of nice activities Oh the best part is they're all free they're all part of your Resort fee so all resorts have Resort fees but some resorts charge additional money for the activities but these are actually included free of charge to show up enjoy yourself have fun and this was fun if you're checking in with kids they have a scavenger hunt for them to do so it took them all around the resort it probably took us about 20 minutes or so and it ended with a fun treat surprise at the end which our kids really enjoyed if you're
