open and another group was over which is the book of life and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books according to their works and the sea gave up the dead that were within it and the death and the hades gave up the dead that was in them and they was judged every man according to their works in my father's house of many matches if it was not so i would have told him but i go to prepare plays for you and where i am that you may be also oh glory and we've been appointed at the man who wants to die and after this coming and judgment but i am in the street between having the desire to deploy and be with christ but it's very far better the last enemy that shall be to abolish his death for the living known that they shall die but the dead knows nothing to be carried into the midst of the sea though the waters there are raw and be troubled though the mountains shake with the swelling though there is a river that should we streams the city of god the holy place of the taliban of the most high god is in the midst of her she shall not be moved god shall help her ask that right early may god add a blessing to the reading and hearers of his word amen church resolution of silence and respect apostle lal and j dopes it is our nature to want to understand everything now but trust requires that we lean and rely heavily on god even when things seem clear proverbs 5 said trust in the lord with all thine heart and may not enter your own understanding we the officers and members of new temple of praise international fellowship church we're deeply saddened at the loss of our mentor leader pastor apostle lolan j phillips on july 13th whereas we bound and um submission to our lord and savior jesus christ and submit this resolution to the phillips family and friends friends we will be less honest if we said that our hearts are not fake over this we are not too proud to acknowledge that we have come here today trusting that god will minister to our hearts and give us strength as we continue in our walk with him whereas he lived and devoted his life as a servant and shepherd of christ he made himself available to preach and teach the gospel as well as support those in need in our sorrow there is joy and knowing that he has received the greatest reward of all to hear our lord and savior say [Music] thy good and faithful servant god has been faithful over a few things i will make a rule over me enter down into the joy of the lord matthew 25 21 therefore being resolved apostle phillips committed his life to god and the work of god he was energized by a power greater than this natural world understands but it will not be the end of the story because the memory of his life and [Music] assistant pastor bridget rosberg focus i said that backwards assistant pastor bridget phillips prospero senior administrator a copy of this resolution will be given to the family and a copy will be recorded in the church files thank him [Applause] and that was amen everything yes sir and i know it's not easy for any of us but you know in death there is life and i found new life it wasn't easy writing this my dad was my biggest cheerleader abba father i didn't know what to say in these final moments so i waited until the moment was final to say these words the skies weep for you the people cry for you because when an angel find his wings and take flight it is a bittersweet realization that the world would never be the same it is waking up to the reality that you are my idol and not my mind lost idle as i walked down the aisle to see the man i called my key my best friend my business partner my everything unable to be and despite my pain i can't think about me when troubled thoughts keep me up at night like how does a son comfort a mother whose sunshine has turned to night being here is one thing but it's another to be all right i want to hold her the way you held me when i couldn't sleep at night it was the comfort in your embrace that said we gonna be all right and i can hear people talking in my dreams in the world of chaos full of strife and confusion some are afraid of what comes next knowing you aren't present to lead the way some question how can life continue without you when everything was about you somebody wanted to end it all but i saw that it was your voice that stopped them someone questioned if the calling on their life was worth carrying out in your absence because you are always there to guide the path but in life you prove that god is the only way and he who puts his hand to the gospel plow and look back is not fit for the kingdom so don't you look back don't be discouraged no matter the trials of this life be encouraged fulfill the vision that was set before you walk in peace love and unity because he preached it is the only way to build the community in life there is death but in death there is truly life and there is so much life getting ready to spring forth out of the life and legacy that he has left us with if he believed because god would never call home greatness and let everything he built here on earth fall apart in his absence like a true that bears much fruit he has left many to reproduce and we are capable because pastor believed and god knew that no matter how hard this may seem you have exactly what it takes to get back up and live again until we see you again my king i love you come on come on let's give god [Music] god [Music] i just thank god so much for uh lady phillips allowing me to be on on the program uh apostle was not just my friend he was my brother somebody said brother amen i don't say that lightly uh apostle uh saw in me what i did not see in myself i met him 20 something years ago and uh he looked at me and said god has a calling on your life and he said you're going to preach the word of god and i i i began to laugh at him and i said no god ain't going to use me and so i said well if he's going to use me where do i get started and and it brought back so many memories when i walked through the door he showed me where you get get started and he said start on the floor and so for about three weeks we laid on the floor prayed until i said yes to god jesus and when i preached my first sermon i was so nervous and he looked at me he said just keep your eyes on me and we gonna get through it again amen amen i could go on and on then i can talk about uh how he helped me build my company uh for 10 years he had a checkbook in his hand and we ran millions of dollars through that checkbook he could sign my name better than i could and and never never once not to worry about a check being accounted for and uh it was so hard for me because you know i was doing it and i loved when i was doing it uh the kids would call me mr mcduffie and they was they started out calling him mr phillips after a while by probably about a year later all the kids started calling him daddy he had that kind of impact on everyone around him and after a while some of the employees started calling him daddy phillips amen so i could just go on and on and on and on again then there's some things that i do know about the real first he loved god and second he loves from sheila phillips can y'all understand and celebrate this great moment of god come [Music] [Music] been right on with him through everything praying and speaking great words and and again i'm so emotional i just thank him for allowing me to celebrate my brother in his last you know hour here on the earth and getting him prepared but i just want to say this there's a scripture that that that i i looked at and i asked god for scripture to say and it says for we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle was dissolved somebody said we have another building we have another building not made with hands eternal in heaven so i want to close with this story uh some some years ago i thought this gadget and this gadget cost a lot of money and after one year the gadget stopped working so i went back to the store and i demanded my money back because the gadget costs a lot of money and the store manager told me that the warranty had ran out and i'm so upset and i was better but i wasn't always well yet you have some thoughts there was some some thoughts came in my mind that wasn't in the 23rd song amen because i had paid a lot for this gadget so i went home and i decided to call sony on the phone and give them a piece of my mind and when i called sony and i said i bought this gadget costs a lot of money in one year it's not working anymore they asked me for the serial number and i gave them the serial number and when they type in the serial number this is what they told me they said the store wanted ran out but with sony you've got a lifetime warranty and this is what they told me they said all you've got to do is put the gadget in a box and send it back to the manufacturer which is sony and when you get it back again it's going to be just like brand new can i suggest to 25 people here all we're doing right now is putting an apostle in a box and we're sending him back to the manufacturer and the manufacturer is jesus and the next time we see him he gonna be home you want to look at a neighbor say neighbor help me celebrate the heart is still good [Music] oh [Music] and bless us amen let's receive sacrifice [Music] when we all used to amen back in the day he was young you know you impossible amen as i started my pastor he was very young and when he started passing me and he had a lot of hell yeah and i want to encourage you today praise god because a man whoever is in charge amen that people didn't want to hear pastor phil i'm gonna be honest with you all the folks didn't want him telling me because he was too young they didn't want him when he there they talked about let me talk about it back about yeah i'm just telling you like it is yeah as i come up with look long hey man 1990 i got my first sniffing from him amen he trained you he's training y'all now he's been training you guys he's training y'all because he's getting y'all ready for a time like this how many preachers how many pastors that left amen and that hell not that people weren't even trained praise god and then they went all out there somewhere else praise god me to jesus glory to god glory to god thank you jesus glory to god but i thank god for my pastor praise god amen because he he taught me praise god he would take me i used to work out there i had to walk all the way from there i mean you're going to welcome walk the church yeah i i had to welcome kid well to hear praise god we was going to be sean praise god i walked them down there today to these sean's like i was i mean i was trying to get to the god's house amen because i love what was going on praise god i love how pastor would bring the spirit into place praise god and everybody would be in the praise god lift up the law and i'm gonna tell you something he ain't just started amen just praying here every day and night and don't go home half time at night you stay on the knee praying and fasting amen it's been boston he was 27 years old a lesser than that praise god because he's been in it for like 12 13 or 14 years old he was just chosen by we set out here in the past yeah and but we began to thank them and we were going to think about you know what it would be like um i said you know dying ain't bad look pastor he said yeah i said you know if we leave you know one thing we know that god said amen that when when you died in the lord praise god he called him he said why did he call it so you know that's what i want to get to why why was he so young thought what jesus called it between 32 and 33 years old he was called back his work was finished he went that's my [Music] at a young age because he was finished he didn't know what god told him to do for his god not now now god looked down and i oh he was so faithful help me holy god he was faithful to what he was doing and then you know he was faithful to getting the bills he was faithful whenever he started out praising god he would finish it nothing i could tell you that he didn't finish and then he was determined that he was gonna finish whatever work he saw now i looked at that and i said well the lord said well look he's in favor i watch him he he talked he he taught these boys he don't really need boys up made them boys be men's amen he even faithful in the word praise god now now i want you to come on up here i know y'all want to keep it down here with you amen but i want i want you to come up here with me now amen you said where are you what do you want to know people i got the preparing praise god i got to be praying because i i got some sinners amen if you remember that praise god to talk about the normal man amen the 10th servants amen and then there was 10 sinners amen once training he got fired [Music] i think you'll be working for me today you want to get saved because that's what castle is all about us being saved praise god he's staying on me praise god he came to my house he ever came to my house and i mean knocking on the door because i would ride in the basket of the church all the time so he said okay i'm gonna pick him up he come down the house i look at him i ain't gonna dig it was just so sunday i didn't want to go to church but did i thank god what i'm trying to say i want you to see a point here he was a man of god that was concerned about your soul if he would come all the way to the house he would pass and he will come on the door trying his best to get me out of there praise god that's got to be a man of god and i'm learning from him he was telling us bringing people to church guess what i'll go out there i'm old station my little white station wagon i go out there and i'll pick up everybody on the street okay i'm picking them up [Music] i don't want y'all to be encouraged i'm here i'll be here for you hey whatever i can do i roll up my sleeve i do whatever i can help you we all in this together we gonna make it one thing we're gonna make pasta already set the foundation we're gonna make it amen and he had told me he said november i'm gonna make you a he said we love you thank you praise the lord [Music] i love you and then i was adopted into this family because he just said this begin to see a bit more now y'all i'm not crazy but a person understood me he understood me and how that god would begin to show anything and this show was good to have somebody didn't think i was crazy that's right because i could call him and see a person you know i was just sitting and all of a sudden this is what i saw and he said well apostle he called me doctor he said well dr barnes it is what you saw hallelujah but i heard so many and to all the pulpit constituents and to pastor sheila to mother to all the siblings the children and new temple of praise you all know that i love you hallelujah cause only new temple of phrase could get me out of my house and make me want to go somewhere come on somebody oh but love it works of many wonderful things true love is wonderful and pastor sheila i heard all that they said but i used to get a kick when you go out on appointments and then he talks he said dr barnes i gotta tell you your daughter preached like a crazy woman to that she just went crazy and then he said wait a minute i'm gonna have him i'm gonna have him download that video in a minute and you don't see her amen but i bless god for this time how many of you know god is so awesome and he's so wise i told god when i got the news i went to him see when you walk up close and personally god you can go to him i went to a pastor and i asked him a question i said god this is the third person in my life that you ever took and didn't tell me you could met again he told me when he was coming to get my husband he told me when he was coming get my mom until the day almost but it's just three people an apostle was the third and he didn't tell me it was a pastor friend of mine automobile when i got ready to get him he didn't tell me my alma bear sarah she went everywhere i went she traveled with me yes god would tell me when got me to get up she was at my house thanksgiving day cleaning up my kitchen come in my house told me good night she's going home and watch got up the next morning took her clothes to the driveway and said in her car and was gone we said that god had touched his prophetess here and i'm not going to be before you law because we're the head church prophet is myers and minister jan is back there and prophet is katina god had touched them that monday it was on monday one yes to come to my house and just pray with me i still hadn't told them about apostles and they came and when they started praying with me by then i got pastors called telling me what they said and when they got the prayer with me i told them come let's pray i said pastor told me about the praise paul i said we going to do it right here they were sitting around my chair at my house and we began to pray and when we got through the power of god failed this one was sitting on the floor and she said apostle she said i see apostle he done got up and he's praising god he said i see a pastor running and shouting and when members of my quest called and told me and i told him what was happening he said that was what time it was look at that i'm like jesus oh god he got up out of here singing and shouting [Applause] i felt so blessed that god could let her sit in my living room and reveal that to us not knowing he was transitioning at that moment god is pro if nobody's encouraged to live for the lord take today and let all you've heard about him and just live half of it [Applause] and just feel happy i feel blessed but let me tell you we gonna do this i'm gonna do this real quick cause i tell you these preachers i'm pretty so good i feel like i've been in a revive i'm telling you the preaching and the praying and the sin but i feel right now like i've been in a revive but i'm just going to share a little bit with you as god began to give it to me he first took me to psalms 55 and 6. when david said oh that i had wings like a duck yeah he said i would fly away and be at rest this let me know that david had a burden going on he had some disillusions going on but he knew if he could just fly away home to be with god he would be all right but then i went on down in isaiah 40 and 31 and they say they that wait upon the lord shall renew their strengths they shall mount up with wings as eagles they shall run hallelujah and they shall walk and not forget serving while you're waiting [Music] a person while he was waiting those whose hope is in the law god will renew their strength god will cause them to sow yes with the strength of eagles they shall run and not be weary they shall walk and not give out apostles are always doing something hallelujah that's right it's say in second corinthians 5 and 8 we are confident i say ready willing rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the lord to be away from this home when you're rich and your will you got another home handle it came a time when impossible's ready to be away from that home he knew he had another home hallelujah jesus and then ephesians 2 and 15 it said god welcomed us home he welcomed us to salvation in living he welcomed us home in transitioning hallelujah living this thing called life the scripture said life is better faithful as we walk out this journey and the sundial of life began to tip and as it tips we that are in christ begin to see things different well on june 13th apostles began to see things differently where he's we saw suffering he saw victory [Music] in a crime and as he traveled a little [Music] [Music] and on the last tip he saw a cheering coming host of angels but now there's one foot in [Music] [Music]
