of praying for vocations to priesthood and religious life and in this mass i also pray for families good health and protection and also praying for the reports of the souls of rosalinda wong cena who recently passed away in philippines in the name of the father and of the son and of the holy spirit amen the grace of our lord jesus christ love of god and the communion of the holy spirit be with you all and with your spirits as we come together to celebrate this eucharist let us call to mind our sins and ask for god's pardon and mercy i confess to almighty god and to you my brothers and sisters that i have greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words in what i have done and in what i have failed to do through my fault through my fault through my most previous souls therefore i ask blessed mary of a virgin all the angels and saints and to you my brothers and sisters to pray for me to the lord our god may almighty god have mercy on us forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life listening to jesus said surely he must be the prophet and some said he is the christ but others said would the christ be from galilee does not scripture say that the christ must be descended from david and come from the town of bethlehem so the people could not agree about him some would have liked to arrest him but nobody actually laid hands on him the police went back to the chief priests and pharisees who said to them why haven't you brought him in the police replied there never has been anybody who has spoken like him so the pharisee sensed it you have been led astray as well have you have any of the authorities believed in him any of the pharisees this trouble knows nothing about the law they are damned one of them nicodemus the same man who had come to jesus earlier said to them but surely the law does not allow us to pass judgment on a man without giving him a hearing and discovering what he is about to this they answered are you a galilean too go into the matter and quickly judge and to make conclusions about people about situations and even regarding matters that pertain to our faith but nicodemus teaches us that we should keep an open mind especially to things and situations which are beyond our capacity to comprehend fully and understand as nicodemus told his colleagues on the jewish council we should be slow to condemn that we do not understand like him we need to know the facts before rejecting or accepting something as true and in order to understand we must respect different opinions if jesus messiahship was the public issue among his people and their religious readers leaders during his lifetime we might be today debating about the efficacy of sacrament or churches authority to teach and interpret the signs of time so dear sisters and brothers let us pray today that we may be that we may cultivate in us an attitude of open heart like nicodemus let us learn to respect to listen and understand various opinions let us also learn to see the flip side of situations and people so that we respect accept and acknowledge people and situations let us not be too quick to judge and condemn you as we call the rejection of the savior who suffered for our sake let us ask for the faith of the humble that we may transmit christ's message to others through our words and deeds you are our strength o lord that those in authority may be guided by the spirit of faith let us pray to the lord you are our strength o lord that courage may be given to those who spread the gospel message everywhere let us pray to the lord you are our strength that rich nations may be generous to poor nations let us pray to the lord you are our strength that the sick the prisoners the elderly and the handicapped may be strengthened by god's consoling words let us pray to the lord that the faithful departed may enjoy the promised everlasting peace let us pray to the lord you are our strength pray for vocations o divine jesus you taught us to pray to the lord of the harvest to send labourers into the harvest give to the church in this diocese and throughout the world many holy priests deacons and religious in accordance with your will may they dedicate their talents their strength their love and their whole lives to the glory of the father to the service of others and to the salvation of souls if it should please you to choose one from our family to be a priest or deacon we will thank you with all our hearts now and for all eternity amen pray to saint joseph hale guardian of the redeemer spouse of the blessed virgin mary to you god entrusted his holy son in you mary placed her trust with you christ became man blessed joseph to us to show yourself a father and guide us in the path of life obtain for us grace mercy and courage and powers tremble before you heaven and the virtues of heaven and the blessed seraphim worship together with exaltation may our voices we pray join with this in humble praise as we acclaim holy holy holy holy lord god of hosts heaven and earth are full of your glory in the highest blessed is he who comes in the name of the lord hosanna in the highest you are indeed holy o lord and all you have created rightly gives you praise for through your son our lord jesus christ by the power and working of the holy spirit you give life to all things and make them holy and you never ceases to gather a people to yourself so that from the rising of the sun to its setting a pure sacrifice may be offered to your holy name therefore lord we humbly implore you by the same spirit graciously make holy these gifts we have brought to you for consecration that they may become the body and blood of your son our lord jesus christ at whose command we celebrate these mysteries for on the night he was betrayed he himself took bread and giving you thanks he said the blessing and broke the bread and gave it to his disciples saying take this all of you and eat of it for this is my body which will be given up for you in a similar way when the supper was ended he took the chalice and giving you thanks he said the blessing and gave this alice to his disciples saying take this all of you and drink from it for the caesar chalice of my blood the blood of the new and eternal covenant which will be poured out for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins do this in memory of me the mystery of faith we proclaim your death for god and profess your resurrection until you come again therefore lord as we celebrate the memorial of the saving passion of your son his wondrous resurrection and ascension into heaven and as we look forward to his second coming we offer you in thanksgiving this holy and living sacrifice look we pray upon the oblation of your church and recognizing the sacrificial victim by whose death you will to reconcile us to yourself grant that we who are nourished by the body and blood of your son and filled with his holy spirit may become one body one spirit in christ may he make of us an eternal offering to you so that we may obtain an inheritance with your elect especially with with the most blessed virgin mary mother of god with blessed joseph her spouse with the blessed apostles and glorious martyrs and with all the saints on whose constant indecision in your presence we rely for unfailing help and may this sacrifice of our reconciliation we pray oh lord advance the peace and salvation of all the world be pleased to confirm in faith and charity your pilgrim church on earth with your servant francis our pope and grigoria bishop and all the and all the order of bishops all the clergy and the entire people you have gained for your own and listen graciously to the prayers of this family whom you have summoned before you in your compassion or merciful father gather to yourself all your children scattered throughout the world to our departed brothers and sisters and to all who were pleasing to you at their passing from this life give kind admittance to your kingdom may we hope to enjoy forever the fullness of your glory through christ our lord through whom you bestow on the world all that is good through him and with him and in safe from all distress as we wait the blessed hope and the coming of our savior jesus christ for the kingdom the power and the glory i use now and forever lord jesus christ who said to your apostles peace i leave you my peace i give you look not on our sins but on the faith of your church and graciously grant her peace and unity in accordance with your will you live and reign forever and ever hours of grace has begun uh from 8 am this morning so whenever there is a mass celebrated or other sacraments celebrated in the church we can't expose a blessed sacrament but the idea is that perpetual adoration of the blessed sacrament for next seven days and because of corporate situations that is not technically possible so from 8 a.m till 10 30 p.m or 10 p.m every day we have uh adoration of the blessed sacrament and a blessed sacrament exposed here in the church or in the chapel so today i will expose the blessed sacrament so there will not be a benediction at 11 o'clock because the adoration is being continued after that but i will report the blessed sacrament at 11 because there is a mass at 11 30 in the church and the adoration will continue to happen in the in the chapel uh the adoration chapel uh for that time being when the mass is celebrated here and there will be only one peaceful confession today and it will end at 11 am thank you the lord be with you and
