[Music] what's going on noobs I am Rory the perpetual noob and welcome to another exciting in-depth hallo night guide today we'll be talking about the pantheon of the night and the boss that awaits us at the end my personal favorite pure vessel pure vessel also known as P V is a boss added with the god master content pack and found in God home the fight we'll be talking about in this guide occurs at the end of the pantheon of the night also known as the fourth Pantheon or Pantheon for please see my god master primer to learn about and how to access God home to enter the pantheon of the night we must first defeat several enemies outside of God home enraged Guardian dream warrior no eyes trader Lord dream warrior Markov and watcher knight and we must complete the Pantheon's of the master artist and sage pure vessel moves to either side of the arena faces us and raises their hand the hand glows white while they summon seven daggers that shoot towards us in straight lines along an arc the daggers are summoned sequentially the first one firing at an angle towards the floor and the last one firing straight up pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when their empty hand begins to glow and they look like they're clutching their chest about a half second later they stand up and extend their glowing hand out a moment later the daggers appear let's call this attack soul daggers pure vessel slashes with their nail three times each slash of their nail moves pure vessel forward covering about one-third of the arena in total the slashes cover enough space that they can damage us even if we are not directly in front of pure vessel pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when they bend forward lower into a lunge position and draw their nail back and above their head this all takes about half a second then the slashes occur in rapid succession let's call this attack triple slash pure vessel draws their nail up and lunges along the ground towards us this lunge covers about 50 percent of the arena pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when they lower into a lunge position and draw their nail up by their face pointing towards us they hold this pose for a moment before lunging let's call this attack lunge pure vessel either leaps or teleports into the air above where we were and then slams into the ground causing pillars of soul to jut up from the floor of the arena these pillars are equally spaced allowing us just a bit of safety between them and they span the entire arena pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when they either teleport or leap to the top of the arena once there they lift their nail above their head just before slamming down once down thin pillars of light appear on the floor less than a second later the pillars shut up let's call this attack soul pillars pure vessel takes up this defensive stance with their nail if we damage them while they're like this they will take no damage from the hit and instead will respond by shifting forward a little and slashing with their nail pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when they draw their nail up and in front of them they hold this position for about three-quarters of a second if we damage them once their nail shines pure vessel responds with a riposte the repast is telegraphed by a powerful impact and pure vessel bending to the attack before quickly drawing their nail back and slashing let's call this attack parry pure vessel begins focusing soul kind of like we do however unlike us if your vessel surrounds themselves with a circular aura that eventually explodes shortly after six smaller auras appear randomly throughout the arena then these smaller auras explode in rapid succession in the order in which they appear your vessel will begin another attack as the final small explosion of they start using this attack when they reach 1056 health pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when soul begins surrounding them and they hunched over a wispy white aura appears around pure vessel a half second later like it's Dragonball Z or something rocks float up as pure vessel stands and faces the ceiling the circular aura is filled with a soul explosion before the large aura has fully dissipated smaller auras appear within about a half second they explode in rapid succession let's call this attack focus pure vessel opens their cloak revealing several flailing void tendrils including two larger ones about three-quarters of a second later the two larger tendrils lash out across about 60% of the arena the lashing continues for about three-quarters of a second they start using this attack when they reach 528 health pure vessel Telegraph's this attack when they hunch down for a moment and then stand up to reveal the void within them two small tendrils lash about for a few moments before disappearing then with a flash in the arena the two tendrils return much larger than before let's call this attack void tendrils the pantheon of the night has 10 unique foes after the first 5 foes we reach the rest point where we can change our charms recover our health and soul and if we've completed enough bindings acquire some bonus lifeblood health before beginning any Pantheon I would recommend having the pure nail maximum masks maximum soul vessels maximum charm notches all nail arts all combat related movement abilities especially the shade cloak all empowered spells and every charm each foe is discussed in the order in which we fight them in this pantheon I briefly discussed some tactics for defeating enraged Guardian in my crystal Guardian guide but it wasn't very in-depth the spells distending dark and shade soul and the nail art cyclone slash are very useful as is being able to shadow dash through enraged Guardian a lot of what I discussed in my lost kin guide still applies here shade soul and descending dark are still good to let's not forget about our nail arts and the shade cloak really helps beware that lost kin staggers very easily so much so that I tend to take damage because of a surprise stagger dream warrior no eyes is an interesting fight she doesn't actually attack us in fact no eyes just teleports around the arena at random intervals and floats wherever she stops the trouble is all of the ghosts of the children she maimed and murdered floating around the arena they float in wave-like patterns across the arena and we cannot stop them ghosts spawn in an alternating pattern one from the left then from the right and so on in the beginning ghosts spawn about every two seconds when no eyes reaches about 75% of her health the ghosts spawn around everyone and 3/4 seconds at 45% health they spawn about every one and a quarter seconds the spells shade soul and abyss shriek are helpful with damaging no eyes quickly and at range I would say great / + - / are the more viable nail arts for big quick damage the safest place to heal is on the floor we can heal multiple masks here no wise has 578 health of this fight the tactics I discussed in my trader Lord lifeblood guide work here gosh I loved to ignore nail arts and many of my earlier guides but let's not ignore them here because they are useful a few other notes there are no Mantis traders before the fight there is no cloth to help us and the arena contains memorials to both cloth and trader Lord's daughter the tactics I discuss in my white defender guide still work here we are fighting white defender 1 in this pantheon we can be a little cavalier with our health in this fight because the rest point comes next I stand by some of the tactics I discussed in my fale champion guide however I have learned a lot about how the fight works since first we take to damage from failed champions body and mace and we take only one damage from the shock waves or barrels next we can keep failed champion fallen over for as long as we want failed champion will get up on his own after 5 seconds if we do not strike him enough resulting in the fight not progressing to the next phase but we can strike failed champions armor dealing no damage the maggot but resetting the timer this means we can use our dream nail to regain as much soul as we want and heal as much as we want between phases just remember to damage him once we're ready to continue to fight there is no floor transition after failed Champions final rage and when he's fallen over for the last time we can take all the time we want without needing to reset any timers while failed champion is fighting we can dream nail his armor for Soul abyss shriek is safest when he's leaping over head and he's winding up for a rage but shade soul and descending dark are just good overall the nail arts - slash and great slash are good choices - healing without charms is really only safe when fail champions fallen over or during a rage dream warrior Markov is one of the most random fights in all of Hollow night his movements around the arena are erratic and his travel can only be slightly impacted by us he has at least one dream shield orbiting around him at all times his most prolific attack is predominantly random and there is a second phase to this fight when everything gets worse he has two attacks a nail attack and a shield cyclone the nail attack summons a nail somewhere in the arena include inside the walls the floor and the platforms there is no warning a nail just pops into existence the nail is not stopped by anything either in the first phase Markoff summons a nail about every one and a half seconds the nail Orient's itself to our position while it draws back it holds this position for nearly half a second before launching in total the nail shoots towards where we were about one second after the nail appeared in the second phase nails are summoned about every single second but still launched about one second after appearing his second attack the shield cyclone happens about every 20 seconds plus or minus a couple seconds Markov Telegraph's this attack when he puffs up for a moment before leaning forward and his cloak billows about he remains like this throughout the attack about a half second after his cloak billows the shield begins rapidly spiraling away from Markov eventually stretching across about 40% of the arena then it spirals back to Markov and then Markov returns to his normal motion no nails are summoned while the shield is spiraling but there will almost always be one nail to dodge just as the attack begins in the second phase one of Markov stream shields remains around him while the other spirals in both phases the timing of this attack is the same with the whole attack taking about six and a half seconds in this fight Markov has 650 health the fight enters phase two when Markov is reduced to half of his health we all know he's entering phase 2 because he looks like he's about to do a shield cyclone but instead a second dream shield spawns opposite his original shield his dream shields changed direction every three to four full rotations around markoff's body his dream shields hurt us and block all nail damage though the hitbox of some nail arts can extend through them the shields don't stop spells use a bish streak whenever Markov is above us shade soul whenever and descending dark if we are ever above Markov or need to escape danger the nail art - slash is a great way to follow the end of a she cyclone great slash is another good nail art in general cyclone slash is best in the first phase and a little dangerous of the second we've got to keep one eye on Markov and one eye on the rest of the arena at all times it's best to stay on the ground because we have much more space to move a very solid strategy is to use nail attacks during the first phase to fill our solo gauge then as the fight transitions to the second phase unleash all the spells we can we can heal one mask in between nails in the first phase we can heal two or more masks during the shield cyclone we have to fight all six watcher nights here and the bouncing roll attack targets where we were with the first bounce the other bounces are just momentum watcher nights are immune only to nail damage when rolling which means shade soul and descending dark are absolutely fabulous against them the shade cloak is a big help dream nailing a watcher night while they're shouting is a fairly safe way to gain soul essentially for free we can heal a mask or two in between attacks if the watcher nights attacks are synchronized or if there's just one night the rest of my watcher night guide still has some useful tactics a lot of the tactics I discuss my soul tyrant guide are still applicable with soul tyrants quick teleporting spells like a bish tree can shade soul and nail arts like great slash & - / are very useful here we can heal safely during the clock attack there is no scene transition between phases so the second phase will come at us quick after this fight we can relax with the god seeker before we fight your vessel there are some charms that I believe are useful throughout the entire Pantheon charms like fragile / unbreakable strength also known as strength mark of pride a nail master's glory steady body shaman stone spell twister eyes blood and quick focus there's a lot of health to get through in any Pantheon and strength helps us get through it faster this Pantheon has some beefy foes so increasing our nail strike damage by 50% is very helpful extending our nails reach with Markov ride is very useful if we only have to charm notches long nail is an okay substitute for maximum range equip both charms nail arts are useful against every foe in this Pantheon because they let us do massive damage quickly nail masters glory lets us execute nail arts twice as fast which means we can have a nail art ready as a response to many attacks a steady body is useful in this Pantheon letting us keep up our nail pressure on these mobile phones steady bodies utility is maximized if we also equip strength and quick slash spells are useful against every foe in this Pantheon shaman stone empowers our spells and spell twister allows us to cast more spells per soul games each charm individually is useful throughout the pantheon and equipping both charms can be devastating against foes all Pantheon's are an endurance test and hive blood keeps our health recharging without expending soul or needing to stop moving it also helps mitigate the double damage we take from some of these foes quick focus gives us more opportunities to heal safely we've got a lot of foes to get through between rest points so having the ability to heal more often and faster is very useful there are other charms that I believe are useful but not for the entire Pantheon or on their own charms like quick slash rubber flies elegy fury of the Fallen loop nest soul catcher dream wielder - master sharp shadow shape of on and fragile / unbreakable heart also known as art quick slash is a useful charm against several foes in this pantheon quick slash is most effective if we also equip strength and steady body rubber flies elegy is pretty useful in this Pantheon but we need to maintain full health to benefit from it without fury of the Fallen rubber flies elegy works best when we also equipped quick slash and strength fury of the Fallen is safest to activate just before the rest point and we've completed at least eight bindings so we can get some lifeblood at the rest point too with one mask plus bonus lifeblood we keep the damage bonus and we can get hit more than once fury of the Fallen is best when we also equipped quick slash and strength Shade soul is useful throughout the Pantheon and for nearly every foe so is fluke nest fluke nest provides a huge damage boost to our shade soul spell but it's shorter range can be problematic because many foes in this Pantheon are very mobile gaining soul reliably can be tricky soul catcher helps us gain a little more soul with every nail hit if we have four notches despair equip soul eater instead for maximum soul gaining equipped both charms dream wielder haves the time to use our dream nail so we can collect a lot of soul quickly and sometimes in otherwise unsafe situations the reduced - cooldown provided by - master is helpful against some foes this charm also allows us to dash down sharp shadow adds our nail damage - and increases the distance of our shadow - sharp shadow is a good charm against many foes in this pantheon to increase our shadow - is damage by 50% equipped - master as well if we want to be able to heal safely more often than with just quick focus we need to also equip shape of fun for some quick mobility while healing now I recommend Hart as the only health boosting charm because there are a lot of fights before and after the rest point and being able to heal is better than having a set amount of health the minion build is a fun charm build from most of the Pantheon the minion build is Weaver song glowing rym child preferably level 4 rub song sprint master and defenders crest this build can provide us with some interesting ways of defeating foes if we're attempting the charm binding and we've got to be more patient because fights will take longer we can still heal but only during those no charm moments I discussed earlier it's also important to use our spells and nail arts when possible because they are much stronger than our pure nail and will help end fight sooner a real great thing about god master is that if we are struggling against any of the enemies in the pantheon of the night we can practice against them in the Hall of gods to practice against pure vessel in the Hall of gods however we must reach them in the pantheon first let's talk about some other tactics that are specifically for pure vessel this is a fast-paced battle some say this fight spacing is more than twice as fast as nightmare King Grimm's fight pure vessel will chain attacks together without moving between them we'll back step between attacks or teleport between attacks we need to know and recognize pure vessels attacks quickly and be equally quick with our reactions a quick note the dream nail does not work against VR vessel we gain soul against fear vessel from nail damage King soul rub song and Weaver Ling's when combined with grub song I was fortunate to reach pure vessel in one of my early attempts at the Pantheon but I struggled to beat them I spent a lot of time in the Hall of God practising until I could consistently defeat their attuned version before I returned to complete the pantheon of the night I tend to fight pure vessel with my nail enhanced with strength and mark of pride I jump over the triple slash and lunge getting some nail strikes in I jump and dash through soul daggers to get some nail strikes in I Pogo on pure vessel during void tendrils I tend to use shade soul and powered with shaman stone during soul pillars and the focus attack I'll use a bish streak when pure vessel is staggered and handle whatever comes next or that's when I heal pure vessels attack frequency dictates that we should be quick with our damage the best way to do this is through spells descending dark is a great spell to use for most of this fight we've usually got to be quick to cast it because did I mention pure vessels fast it also works as a great way to finish after avoiding an attack like soul daggers or void tendrils shade soul is another great option for a lot of attacks once we are safely away from pure vessel and especially great during the focus attack abyss streak is generally safest when pure vessel is staggered due to how long it takes to cast but even then we've got to be ready for pure vessel to respond with apparently we've got a few options for handling the triple slash jumping over it shadow dashing through it or descending dark jumping over requires either a well-timed Pogo or double jump to avoid the second slash once we're past pure vessel we can attempt to damage them again before their next attack for the lunge we can either jump over it - through it Pogo on pure vessel or descending dark once we're safely past them we can attempt to damage your vessel again before their next attack once pure vessel is above us for soul pillars we need to get out of the way which can even be done with descending dark then we've got to put ourselves in between the pillars which can even mean Poe going on pure vessel we've got time to damage pure vessel while we wait for the pillars to go away the safest option when we see pure vessel get into the parry stance is to not damage them or we can trigger the riposte and handle that a nifty thing about the soul daggers attack is that we get to see the lines of travel before the daggers are cast showing us the safe gaps between the soul daggers that we can navigate we can say far away and cached soul or we can get in close and deal damage when pure vessel begins focusing we can stay far away and use shade soul stay close and get in some quick nail damage before the explosion or time descending dark to avoid the explosion the first aura becomes dangerous shortly after the rocks float after the initial explosion it's all about doing damage while remaining safe from the follow-up explosions which damage us when they flash when we see void tendrils coming it's most important that we get out of the way whether that's getting out of range getting above or getting behind pure vessel if we're out of range we can cached Souls if we're above pure vessel we can Pogo on them and or use it descending dark if we're behind them we can do whatever we want while the attack occurs pure vessel can be staggered they are staggered after twelve hits or nine hits in less than nine seconds we'll know pure vessel is staggered when our hit sounds more powerful and pure vessel Falls to their knees they remain staggered for just over two seconds or until they take damage whichever happens first without charms we can heal one mask while pure vessel is staggered or we can heal two if we are already on the ground and begin healing as soon as they are staggered healing without charms except when pure vessel is staggered almost requires prescience we can heal one mask in several situations though some might require some luck during Soul pillars if we start before the pillars form and pure vessel takes a moment before attacking again when pure vessel focuses or two masks if a smaller explosion doesn't spawn on us during Soul daggers if we're already in a safe position during a parry if we predicted it and when we're out of range of void tendrils with quick focus we generally won't have enough time to get another mask during these moments but we will have more time to safely react if your vessel we can also eke out a third mask with quick focus when pure vessel is staggered adding shape of on - quick focus grants us enough maneuverability to safely heal one or more masks during all of these moments when we defeat pure vessel they fall to their knees and dissolve away if this is our first time completing the pantheon of the night this leads to a scene showing us standing before the hollow Knight in their tiny form surrounded by other vessels deep in the abyss maybe then a light shines from above we all look up and soon hear the familiar scream before the void overtakes the screen we can after going above the entrance to Pantheon for and striking the golden statue now access the fifth and final Pantheon but more on that in the next guide the hunters journal entry for pure vessel contains a prayer from the God seekers asking pure vessel to reveal their light the hunter's journal and God seekers prayer confirm a lot of pure vessel story - it's kind of cool to have so much lore confirmed there are still pieces missing like who exactly trained them but we can't expect to have everything explained since that's not how this game seems to work from the hull of God's pure vessel is the mighty God of nothingness I have no questions about pure vessels existence and God home they are clearly who they once were remember who they were and perhaps who they believe they can be again if the radiance is removed from them they clearly existed when the god seeker showed up in holland ask not even the seal of the black egg and dreamers could stop the god seeker from sensing them we are only one step giant leap really away from finding who the god seeker is truly seeking this god of gods I may have gotten a couple aspects wrong in my hollow Knight guide but pure vessel story is still so tragic they had a lot of time with the pale King and presumably the white lady before being locked away in the black egg since they are such a large vessel it's clear the pale King and pure vessel had a bond which ensured the pure vessel would suffer in the black egg from loneliness and the radiances rage yet after all of that pure vessel just wanted to make their father proud I like the arena - the chains everywhere except around pure vessel and those symbols we can find in the black egg it all really evokes for me that this is who the hollow knight once was another thing that's fun for me is how God's seeker changes our attitude towards us if for just a moment we've finally beaten up enough gods to perhaps convince her that we are actually powerful and/or important the argument many make is that through our fighting we are now clogging up God's seekers attempts at a tuning to the god of gods I wonder what that's
