this bracket uh immediate top contender is almost putting it lightly like uh best nest is an absolute uh monster um oh is are they on send is that yeah okay all right but yeah um it looks like uh best nest is gonna be playing some separate here i think uh he actually just got second place in a sephiroth only tournament last night uh getting second place i believe to midnight uh socal palutena player um so he's definitely put in some work already and this is this is going to be an interesting dynamic as well seth rop really treasures on like being able to space people out and pressure them with all of it with like gigaflare and shadowflare steve is one of the characters that never feels the need to approach he gets value whether or not he's on the other side of the stage and mining or beating you up with his uh with his constant jack or his consistent jab yeah i know and he does have a lot of options like that kart is a very big uh very strong projectile too has a bit of a command grab property in it as well so it's gonna be very urgent to see how whiz catch kind of uses that against this newer character in the name of sephiroth because um that's the thing though sephiroth has got a bit of quite a few projectiles that are very explosive and that's just to put it lightly oh okay explosive is the word of choice that with gigaflare getting to the uh getting to the point where he can act in between the explosion itself a powerful leg strapping tool of a character that spends a lot of time setting up by the ledge and making sure that he's able to defend himself in a rather corner in a corner position really retreating to the ledge once again and trying to fly back to the other one perfect counter yep uh that counters very weird uh there's some times where you think it's gonna be active and it won't be so i don't know if there's just some issues with it in general or if it's just um oh there we go gotta get out of that oh he's got the wing on deck as well so when that wing is active um he's getting on he gets armor and all this smash attack so you gotta be careful if you're gonna try and challenge any of your smash attacks you're gonna make sure you are on point because this character is absolutely lethal on top of just an overall speed damage acceleration all of that just gets buffed he becomes an even more of a threatening character than he already is yeah it's almost like it's pretty much just limit uh fully cloud gets a little bit of a speed buff as well and not for 15 seconds yeah it's uh and just absolutely it's absolutely insane how much better of a character he gets when that wing is out he gets an additional jump as well but um right now a wiz catch or wiz which chat which cash is doing a really good job actually uh staying competitive here i'm not familiar with the player but um still to be able to compete this well with best nest especially it doesn't even matter the fact that best isn't playing you know his nest uh main um is still saying something so good stuff so far but gonna die again uh using that cart to recover to stage and just absolutely getting blown off the side of it with that counter yeah it is like you mentioned the counter can be a little bit inconsistent but it has two properties that no other counters have one is that there will always be a hitbox at the end of it unless the move is strong enough to break it it's i think the counter the only counter that actually has a intended break mechanic but it's it either way it does cover itself with the act constantly active hitbox and it's shown it's made its money's worth having always countered these uh these carts yeah and uh witchcraft's doing a really good job actually recovering there uh opting to go a little higher than usual bestest was actually going off stage trying to get that uh recovery just a little earlier oh gonna get caught by the second uh hit of the gigaflare wire megaplayer gigaflare i think it's that's the level maybe yeah maybe you're right so yeah flare megaphone gigafly that makes sense no zeta flare not not as strong as donald but we're here all right let's see what the option is okay not going to get a hard punish off that up smash from wiz chat but trying to go for another one they're going to meet a backer as well the best that's going for the octo slash trying to be a little bit inspired from raven king just raw like no no set up no edge guarding just i'm going to hit you with this all right okay this chat is waiting him out like playing steve's game using his blocks yeah but it does not matter that mega flare is gonna be able to close out that final stock there a wish champs doing a pretty good job man best nes again no joke of a character dude this windscreen is so so sick dude it is the best windscreen in the game just the chad energy rolling out from it it's like he's he's here to win the game then burn your home down what do you say to that um thanks i don't know man it's sephiroth he does what he wants yeah no great stuff there even though he got caught in the cart too as he's flying away still able to get that hit in there um just kind of uh you know just get it out of the way so good stuff good stuff so far yeah no that was a it was a long game one and a tenuous one because i always felt like that if uh if best f slipped up even a little bit then then whizzchat would be right at his door with a pretty with one of steve's many uh horizontal strings and some that which showed he had on deck whether it be the uh the jab to fair loops jab nair fair like all these all these consistent strings that pick up so much damages steve despite having a relatively slow pace neutral and a relatively defensive character he's one of the best punished games in the game period for sure all right but here we go going right back to ps2 again best nest versus whizz chat sephiroth versus uh minecraft steve uh which is so wild it's like it's these two these two are the past two dlc characters and they represent like two wildly different like sides of like gaming in general you've got steve who kind of represents minecraft you know a very friendly uh uh child friendly game as well represents you know a lot of fun and stuff like that you know exploring you know with your friends and stuff and then you got sephiroth who's just this edgy murder machine who wants to destroy the world it's just absolutely insane to see the types of characters that we were getting in this game it's it's a dichotomy of for sure and it's the dichotomy of smash players to an extent like you can see players that were so excited for uh for steve and equally excited for sephiroth in completely different cases that uh i guess nobody's really excited for that uh for that sd except maybe bestness uh yeah i don't know what happened there like did he just give up on the stock just knowing he wasn't gonna make it back and just tried to make the best of it like trying to get uh oh he didn't even try to get the jump on him after the second stock oh big octo slash with the uh the side b orbs i forget what those are called uh shadow flare shadow flare all right yeah i'm i'm here if you ever need the names of moves specifically and that's about it yeah what i mean i remember playing final fantasy 7 way back in the day man it's it's honestly it's one of my favorite games i've played a couple times since but i just don't remember all this stuff it's it's okay oh man there's every rpg has their naming convention and at the very least final fantasy is a little bit more consistent with it it's not you know dragon dragon quest names are ridiculous oh for sure man i have no idea it's like oh is this one fizz or sis or oh okay wow a big area into a back here with chat saying hey man i'm still in this yeah i have the time he's he's having all the time in the world and time's up says so the best dance yeah you know you're absolutely right uh yeah unfortunately uh witchchat's uh just making a very ill-advised move there uh we're gonna see if he can find a way back in right now he's got a good bit of offense going here but still uh you're already down a whole stock as is and festas is gonna continue to pile on this pressure putting him off stage got a shadow player set up i really like uh blade charge and the the omnidirectional ability of blade charge and just the however fast it recovers it gives sephiroth what many sorties don't often have is a it's a landing option and uh i guess we got we got a little bit of time to talk since wish hatch is sticking to steve's game plan despite being down a whole stock oh here we go uh with chat she's getting a little too impatient here uh bestness has got no problem waiting it out man he will just sit there yep he's gonna flex his top player muscle right now just saying you have to come to me i'm in the lead i have a whole stock lead at the moment uh you have to approach that's simply what it is yeah steve on the approach can be rather linear to say the least like he's he's swinging at you with his axe and his sword with while amazing frame data wise like what is he going to come forward with and wish hatch is trying to figure that out throwing minecarts his way having diamond on deck makes him threatening yeah but i mean i'd probably rather have the one wing than the diamond i'm gonna be honest yeah i'm with you there i'm just just waiting it out really waiting them out okay yeah best nest is just doing his thing man he's trying to have a good time let no we'll let whis chat snow hey direction that sephiroth is facing so that'll be that's that's at least a trick on that one and it won't kill you like a wolf firewolf will sometimes do and just catch you through the stage all right mash out he's gonna have too much damage yeah this is a quite the impressive match from from bestness thus far being able to get out of every one of these minecarts i promise for anybody watching there we go he deserves that he deserves that oh he's waiting on a oh man oh man yep he's trying to go for the gigaflare trying to try to finish this with a little bit of style there we go back here not quite going to kill i think that was the tip not going to be the middle of the sword [Music] all right he's waiting about like it's there's not really much to say over this oh okay i do want witch hat to just win this game though me too that would be impressive like just coming overcoming just all the adversity that bestness is throwing out like the obvious shade yeah and steve's rather heavy unlike sephiroth and like this this rage plus diamond oh there it is that's gone yeah i thought he was gonna be able to get the upstretch that wouldn't have killed but it still would have been something uh impressive but yeah best desk finally just gonna finish up this set here 2-0 we're gonna be able to move on i don't have anything else to talk about this game yeah remember kids don't play with your food i mean when you're a top player you kind of you can kind of get away of it because generally at any point in time like all right i'm just going to turn this on but you can't do this against other top players because like you can't just turn it on against all the top players sometimes they're already they've already got it turned on you know oh yeah oh yeah it's so you know this is where you this is where the time where you get the content you get to show off like sephiroth did what with like big bold like embossed letters and uh you know you get to see a shocked steve and there you go youtube video easy clap easy clap there you go that's all your content content i don't know if bestness has a youtube i think he's been trying i can find out yeah i've seen a couple of his videos floating around there still it's uh it's part part of the no he does have a youtube has been active yeah actually he has he's been quite active um yeah so make sure you check that out you're probably going to see some of this content up there i don't know but
