so this is the basement area as well as some underground outdoor areas for Licari first thing you see as you come down the stairway is this old cast-iron stove you now if you notice the floor this is concrete here as soon as we pass through this threshold you can see the older part of this basement is a completely brick lined so on this part of the basement we are under the main part of the house and I was told by the real estate agent that it's rumoured that back in the day William Lockwood may have stored animals specifically horses down in this part of the basement you so basically we've just done a circle in the basement we're about to walk through a back door that takes us out of the basement and into some external storage areas you so we're actually below the rear porch right now walking along the perimeter of the house you so we just walked into the porch you see towards the left the center of the house and then we're going to be walking momentarily right past those glass doors in the lower right hand side underneath the side porch if you see that hump in the ground to the right we're going to be stepping down inside that where there are some additional storage areas you so this is where it gets really interesting we're now walking underneath the ground in this area that's directly below that red cupola sitting on the ground apparently that's an air vent I'm not sure what they stored in here but this room is large and unfortunately I couldn't capture it with the video what's down there however is a room approximately 20 to 30 feet square and I'd estimated about 12 to 15 feet high next to that large storage area is yet another smaller storage area they all seem to be brick lined all the way up through the ceiling area and that's going to conclude the basement tour of La Carrie hopefully you enjoyed it and please share it with your friends you
