hello and welcome to Camp Xbox the original Xbox is a gold mine of exclusive games that you won't find anywhere else while Classics Like Fable and Halo have garnered much love and remasters it's the Lesser known exclusives that peque my interest the most the Xbox library is full of fantastic exclusives and today I've selected five hidden gems that I recommend and they are often not talked about I tried to pick a diverse selection of games so everybody might find something new keep in mind that there are so many more hidden gems out there and if I've missed your top pick don't hesitate to share it in the comments below I'd be thrilled to create a sequel to this list but for now let's talk about some Xbox exclusives that deserve more recognition so our first pick is otogi myth of demons this gem made it it way to North America on August 27th 2003 published by Sega and developed by from software the very same team responsible for games like dark souls and Elden ra just like its successors aogi shines with exceptional action in gameplay while crafting a fascinating world around it in aogi you step into the role of an executioner on a mission to purge the world of demons following the shattering of the Great Seal that once separated the demon and human Realms this hack and slash action game will take you on a journey through various missions set in diverse locations all in the pursuit of demon extermination what sets oogi apart is just how fluid and responsive its combat system is the Simplicity of the button layout allows for an easy grasp of the controls and the focus is on how to use your moves effectively it's a strategic experience yet yet it never sacrifices speed or intensity the battles are fast-paced showcasing the same level of toughness and reward that from software is renowned for in a togi your health replenishes automatically but it's the Magic Bar that truly matters this bar depletes slowly over time and more rapidly when casting magic spells introducing a timed element that adds an extra layer of tension to your battles with each Mission attempt you have the opportunity to acquire new items or magic enabling you to revisit earlier missions with improved gear and spend more time and levels to attain that coveted srank the game's design is impeccable drawing inspiration from Japanese mythology each area is dark Moody and expansive with plenty to explore and many areas to climb the enemies are wonderfully crafted and the animations are fluid the music stands out to me as well with traditional Japanese music in the background it's both beautiful and haunting perfectly complimenting a Japanese World under the Relentless assault of a terrifying Force whether you're a DieHard fan of from software or not otogi sets itself apart from its more famous titles offering a thrilling action experience that will Captivate any action game Enthusiast fortunately both this game and its sequel are backwards compatible on all new Xbox consoles making it more accessible than ever aogi is sometimes praised as one of the consol's best and yet it still doesn't receive the recognition it deserves I highly recommend giving it a try if you haven't already you won't be disappointed next up is death row which came out in North America on October 22nd 2002 it was published by Ubisoft and developed by Southend Studios death row is a futuristic sports game centered around a fictional sport called Blitz imagine a mix of basketball with a disc where you need to throw it into a hoop combined with the physicality of hockey it's a brutal sports game that I enjoy growing up and continue to appreciate what I find intriguing about this game and the Xbox generation as a whole is its attempt at edginess these elements may not have aged perfectly but they're very nostalgic to me the Xbox was known for its appeal to teens and adults and a handful of games push the envelope in that regard death row could have been just another futuristic sports game but it's more like discs of Tron if Disney had absolutely nothing to do with it expect to see blood everywhere and the in-game language is colorful prepare to be on the receiving end of every insult imaginable from opposing teams it's a unique experience and there's something amusing about being called nasty things that I've never heard in a video game the main focus of death row is its seasonal mode where you select a team and climb the rankings by facing off against various opponents each team has its own distinct personality and lines one standout team consists of very Folgar prisoners that you battle in a prison every team has its stats and health bars and you use money to build your dream team if you enjoy franchise modes in other sports games you'll feel right at home here the sport itself is refreshingly simple to un understand yet incredibly fun to play the controls are smooth allowing you to seamlessly transition from jumping and scoring into engaging in physical combat with opponents switching between team members is effortless resulting in a fast-paced and action-packed gaming experience while the initial stages may feel limited the level design becomes more impressive As you move on it introduces verticality which adds a whole new dimension to your throws death row might not boast the most cutting Edge Graphics but it more than compensates with its sheer entertainment value it's amusing to see how this game pushes a sports title into the realm of mature content the sport itself is straightforward and the controls are spoton it's perfect for a pickup and play session not enough players have had the chance to experience this Gem and I wholeheartedly recommend giving this one a shot next up is Crimson C which made its way to North America on December 16 16 2002 it was developed and published by Co the same team behind the Dynasty Warrior series and if you're a fan of those games you'll find a nice blend of Dynasty Warriors Gameplay with RPG elements in Crimson sea in this adventure you step into the shoes of show a detective who embarks on an Intergalactic journey to stop a plot that threatens Humanity while the plot may not break new ground it compensates with its enjoyable characters and w dialogue conversations in this game are often tongue and Chic and surprisingly humorous if you're seeking an entertaining story on the Xbox this one delivers Crimson C is a standout title on the Xbox a platform that didn't boast an abundance of jrpgs the game incorporates typical RPG features such as leveling stats acquiring equipment and forming a team however what sets it apart is that your team joins you in a realtime combat situation and you can have a sizable group of companions which becomes essential when facing hordes of enemies combat and Crimson SE is refreshingly straightforward with just a few buttons controlling your guns and swords all of which can be strung together into enjoyable combos leading to some thrilling battles the number of enemies this game fits on screen is overwhelming especially as you get further in the game and it creates intense and action-packed encounters it's a very unique action RP PG experience on the Xbox the game's environments also offer a really great mix of clean sci-fi Aesthetics and darker dystopian atmospheres each local you visit has a very distinct Vibe and they all manage to stand out this diversity contributes to the game's engaging atmosphere it's a gorgeous looking game and reminds me of a final fantasy look all of the character models look excellent and in a nutshell Crimson C is all about fun it's a fast-paced action game and when combined with jrpg elements it becomes something special on the Xbox oddly this XBox exclusive was followed by a PS2 exclusive sequel so each console had its own Crimson C and I haven't played the sequel yet but I'm certainly intrigued to give it a shot as the first entry is highly entertaining I hardly see anybody talking about this game and it even got good reviews at launch so I just want to point this one out and recommend it because it is an awesome awesome game and before we move on with the list if you're enjoying this video so far be sure to leave a like as it helps out my channel in the algorithm and be sure to subscribe if you haven't already just to stay up to date with the Retro Xbox content but moving on next on our list is Kung Fu Chaos a game that released on February 24th 2003 it was published by Microsoft game studios and developed by just ad monsters who have sent become known as Ninja Theory this gem is a party fighting game that might remind you of the Power Stone franchise yet it possesses a unique charm all of its own in Kung Fu Chaos your task with selecting a character to star in a comical kung fu movie while the game offers various modes the primary one is centered around multiple levels that double as scenes from the fictional movie The Game's core experience is a nice blend of fighting game mechanics it features easy to learn combos in a very straightforward design yet the Simplicity works well especially in a party setting the concept is straightforward beat up everyone toss them around and strive to be the last one standing however what sets this game apart is the Fantastic level design each level boasts a unique and dynamic design most of the time you'll find yourself in a fight on a moving stage where the world unfolds from a movie camera's perspective you'll have to stay with in each shot as the sets crumble explosions erupt and pandemonium ensues it's fast-paced and an absolute riot to both participate in and witness it even features a replay mode that edits everything from the fight like a movie with numerous levels to explore there's no shortage of content the game even offers a variety of entertaining mini gamess from saving extras jumping out of Windows to a timed board hitting challenge these simple yet enjoyable games are perfect perf for a party gaming experience the short burst of great fun can be replayed over and over Kung Fu Chaos pays homage to classic Kung Fu movies offering numerous references and nods for fans of the genre the game's vibrant and colorful art style adds to its overall appeal if you love Kung Fu flick you're going to see that just add Monsters has a deep love for the genre here as well while initial reviews may have been mixed I believe this game is an underrated game the gameplay is Rock Solid and if you got a group of friends ready to join the action you're in for a really great time it's one of my favorite party games on the original Xbox the final game on today's list is raises hell released on April 21st 2005 it was published by majesco and developed by rtech Digital entertainment raise as hell is a third person shooter that fits the mold I was talking talking about earlier regarding the edgy Xbox mentality this game takes cute little characters that you'd see in children's cartoons and terms them into horrible beings they are called The culets Who live in a walled-off city and they decide to wipe out all other creatures on the planet and cutify the world you play as raay a creature that's not really Pleasant to look at but his whole tribe has been murdered as raay you must kill the culets to save the planet I was excited about this game when I was younger because I thought the idea was really funny now it might feel a little dated but I still think there's humor there these culets have an extensive library of dialogue and say some awful and silly things when they die I think one of the main attractions is just hearing everything they have to say also it is a feast for the eyes to see the violence in this game what's cool is the character Ray fights back from the Machinery wielding culets with natural elements in the world you take different types of ammo that you find in plants and there are tons of different types and you use that to shoot one of my favorites is the sniper that you can charge and it works extremely well and the violence that's caused by it is crazy there's a great variety of weapons and they all feel great to use I think the look of the game isn't the greatest as it is a budget title but the design of the culets is really well done it makes up for it with shooting controls and some excellent level design each level offers layers of paths that take on objectives and it is a genuinely challenging game especially when you have lots of waves of enemies flowing at you the game offers up fun mini gamess as well like a great golf mini game where you use weapons to shoot golf balls and the co-op mode so you can play this with a friend which always enhances the experience don't be scared away if you think this one might be a little dated because it's actually still a pretty funny game and even then it's a great feeling shooter with solid weapons this one is another game not many people bring up and I think it's an excellent XBox exclusive and that wraps it up for today hopefully you discovered something you want to try out now or you were reminded of a classic you really enjoyed let me know in the comments below any games you think more people should talk about on the original Xbox and if you enjoyed today's video be sure to like And subscribe for
