Hey Loretta! Visiting Loretta Lynn's Ranch: Mother's Day Road Trip

[Music] so we're we're here today at a place that my mother has wanted to come to since what mom 81 1981 and uh yeah we are here at loretta lynn's ranch in hurricane mills and we're gonna go in okay long enough mom i believe i made her wait long enough for my interest here we go so the last time we were here um we came just to see the house we didn't realize we were on our way to memphis we didn't realize there was motocross took us an hour and a half to come up the little road just to take a picture of loretta's house today four minutes [Music] so anyway so i double checked to make sure that there was nothing happening this weekend and we decided to go that blue hey that's rad that's amazing first place that we went to after we bought our tickets was the replica of the house that loretta grew up in in kentucky it was actually used in the filming of the movie coal miner's daughter and then moved on to loretta's property these are just some shots that i took in the house loretta's mother's autoharp the front porch side of the house and then the stones we got on the very first tour of the day and we got on a bus and made it just across the street now her plantation now this was actually built in the 1800s as well it has 14 rooms eight fireplaces and 48 windows and as you can tell from here mostly windows you know they're about nine foot tall [Music] um [Music] [Music] okay [Music] [Music] do [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so this was the first part of the coal miner's daughter museum that we went into and i kind of filmed it a little out of order because i was trying to you know you have to maintain social distance um but this was loretta's best their first bus and it was in coal miner's daughter i loved this mack truck uh i just thought it was amazing uh old school i loved how it had loretta and farms on the front of it i loved these pictures everything was amazing i had to film it a little out of order here in a minute but that was from their first home and i loved how all of the descriptions were handwritten by loretta it kind of gave it such you know a more personal flavor than just some museum typed uh description which i thought was just amazing filming my mother looking at the cadillac um also going back to the bus because you know like i said i'm trying to social distance but this was i i didn't have any issues in this part of the museum i thought actually it was pretty cool uh once upon a time you could actually go on the bus so here if i had sound on i was cursing kovid for changing that um that was uh something that um doolittling bought for an anniversary present i don't know if that happy birthday purple cake is there because it was loretta's birthday but i love that picture yeah i'm not sure but it's got like keith urban on the top of it so i don't know if it's for loretta or keith urban this jeep is rad it was actually in coal miner's daughter and tommy lee jones wrecked it and that was what was left over so i was like i remember that jeep and then the movie omg oh yeah the interior looked terrible i was like what and this uh i think this was uh her favorite cadillac in behind there like i said everything's handwritten and it's just so amazing i was like wow that's you know such a personal touch i think that in the back was the celebration for the 50th anniversary of loretta and the grand ole opry pretty sure that's what that was wow wow her dad bought her this skirt right here oh mining company look back there's their store vouchers [Music] oh there's harmon that's the one i met this little change purse was in my dad's pocket when he died in 1959 almost like your dad says i know see back there sermon nice dress wow see ernest was a doll baby buddy cindy cash peggy lynn kathy twitty and georgette jones that's actually pretty amazing cat well you're skipping stuff you coming back around yeah oh okay wow lifetime i wonder if that's the war worship she wrote with garth brooks yeah lifetime achievement award he got sequins all in his pickup truck oh her zero label first nashville home oh wow okay now somebody worked really hard on that quilt over there absolutely i saw that building it's a church and a school wow i've never seen a grammy this close that's amazing there's a few in here i'm sure anywhere oh that's her and who over and i'm gonna stand right here it'll be over my dead body so get out while you can i'm continuing to go around this way [Music] hello darling nice to see you it's been a long time this is that whatever kind of art diamond art yeah i see that's gorgeous oh my goodness wow this deserves a picture absolutely um this is movie stuff this is movie stuff oh there's that negligence the movie script oh there's that flower dress you like oh my god well we're watching this when we go that's coal miner daughter drive i don't look at that look how many times it's been printed what's the song oh born to coleman oh my goodness this is the uh wow what my phone's ready if you made it it's her first sewing machine [Music] oh there's the dress right there yeah i saw her in that dress i thought it was so pretty she had silver shoes on to match the buckle it's got silver straps too oh really i would say oh my goodness goldie hawn carol channing elizabeth's trailer wow cher houston in the back there's too much stuff in here how do you see everything all right hold on i gotta go back oh my gosh this is johnny cash's in june carter cash that many pearls hat holy crap to loretta would love minnie p wow roy hey cubs belt buckle jacket have oak ridge boys oh this was elvis presley suit my good friend bob brought it from elvis and he gave it to me i love elvis singing and i love bob blumen elvis presley right there hilarious back there on the wall yeah [Music] up there [Music] like the small items were found at the plain site what what small items oh i bet you it's that you look at the lipstick in the rices wow i just got chills yeah oh my goodness is that a crown tiaras yeah holy crappidola okay i see queen silver jubilee i like how that is right in the middle of all this other stuff oh there's her kennedy center on her i remember i watched that on television wow oh no i'm not ready to be done yet we're going back around the other way i'm really super not ready to be done looking at this stuff i didn't even do like a closing segment at all when we were done we literally got in the car and it was just a very overwhelming experience anyway [Music] [Music] you
