how you guys doing what Ken did you uh do you already talked to the coaches and stuff as part of the no no I'm spoken to him yet he's doing that disease man what day is that something you do very often well you know I'm out of military buddies more than I am anything nowadays I just left Camp Pendleton out of California so I got in on the red-eye flight came here to do this and I'm here to California from here but I do make a lot of speeches but it was fine their body so all the in a half letter speeches there you must think I wasn't gonna get football play or something yeah once the I which they can I know you've done it for a long time how did you end up being so connected with you know the military well I wrote that book where one said that I was crazy which I'm probably are you know I talked about this source of my dinners in this water and you know since we're even though they say that we're not out of War times but we really are we have so many young men and women coming back with all types of problems and your being in the military centers with football players same with police officers you know we have to be macho and tough so you can't ever admit when you have a problem and I was trying to tell them you gotta remove that stigma to let people know if you got a problem there's no shame that's for here and let them know there's people that can help there's some freedom up there or should you I know you came out here and talk to God like nature what kind of what's your message just people young man like that he'll speak to me like that you know chubs is such a great guy it's continued to do what he's doing because you know one thing about it is and I and I and I told my skies Herschel Walker played in his eighties you know most of these guys I can be their father and the thing is is you don't want to listen to about Herschel Walker this horse walking that because you're playing in a different time you know and I think people get about you know when I played they didn't have guys you know 65 300 pounds like running for five then he got a bunch of my that I can do it now so he's planning a total different era so he can make his own own way right now you guys are an incredible incredible football player and one thing that's great about this team here as a whole Georgia guy a heck of a lot of good running backs but one thing that's great about chubbs and I think people understand this you know when you see football today you see a choir playing fronted by C but ten guys running in and out of the game this guy carried the ball thirty some tongue and and that is absolutely amazing and that shows you the work that he is a person how do you think you would have played against some of those defensive guys you just described here wait oh it's so fun and I told someone earlier I played today I probably gained a little bit more weight I probably played my same weight but you know who know and that's why I tell people all the time you know people always comparison comparing and that's great you know it's great to talk about it but I think you sort on fair to certain players because it's a totally different time and you and here we throw the ball a little bit more than idea but when I was playing I tell everybody you know when I was playing we threw the ball two times we threw it to the ref were you in the game's story threw it off the field any game was over so we know we were not passing at all we were running everything so I got a chance to run the ball a great deal where's he don't get a chance to run his much that's a little bit did you get to know Nick before today did you know I did this week for the first time today we spoke for a little bit today we're going to speak a little bit later and this is my first time needed it was funny because I've been to a couple of games and watched him play you know one of the things and strange last year I watched him last year a great deal and everyone said you only want to go talk to him before the game and I said this young man is doing his thing you don't take him out of his zone and you know some people don't understand he's doing this thing you don't need Herschel Walker talking to him because he's showing what he can do you know during the off season you know we can't speak we do speak as friends and if you want anything we and want to ask me anything I can answer that but I don't think there's anything I can say to him and make him a better player to what he's doing right now well your impressions of him oh geez I've been in president no time you know was a girl it being here and then you got chosen you know people forgot about Marshall you know people have got totally forgot about mark Marshalls an excellent anybody then he got Sun and Michelle and I'm like guys it got a tunnel running bikes here but then you got shelves I'm not gonna give up the position you know he's saying you know guys I'm not gonna carry a 15 on carry 30 if you all get anything out of that you know more power to you and I think that's what's so amazing and the thing is is not carrying 30 this game but he can do it every game the running back position seems to be kind of devalued a little bit with you know people think it's interchangeable at the NFL level now what do you think well you know what has happened is they brought in what they called his West Coast offense we people in the past but if you noticed we people in a wind games on when they want to talk about a good team they always talk about a team that can run the ball whenever they want to win a game you don't see them throwing the ball anymore they won't be able to be run and whenever you want to be the very physical team you always talk about you're down people you know where you get down people you get them from running the ball you get you down people on defense so I always tell people you know you can talk about West Coast all you want to talk about when we talk about having a good football team you better have some people that can run the ball guys you see anywhere oh you gotta watch job you know did you know this kid came when I was a freshman and just think if he had started the whole season what you would have done you know and that's what's so amazing just thinking he sawed the whole season and he came up out of this season as health is he doing now one thing that I like about it you know the game is over practice is over and the killer still out there working on that's what you showed that's the shine I'm gonna assign if he doing things

The fact that a team could run with impunity like that just blows my mind. Such a reliance on the run game is unheard of today.

That's hysterical to me, since a relative of mine coached Herschel twice.....once at Georgia, once in the glorious USFL....
