What's that? - Otsukimi. It's a Japanese
moon-watching festival that happens this time of year. We're having a party on the
roof of our apartment building where we can get
a good view of the moon. - Ah, yes!
- Count me in! - Thank you,<i> gracias!</i>
- Oh, me too! Oh, a moon party
does sound fun. But what's the rabbit for? - That's the rabbit. You know,
from the rabbit in the moon. - The what in the what? - You've never heard
of the rabbit in the moon? - Mm-mm.
- No. - No.
- No, I haven't. - I've heard of
the man in the moon. Thought projecting. See how the darker parts
look like a face? - Uh, sort of. - What do you see, Sara? - A rabbit!
See? Ears, tail... - Oh, yeah, there it is!
- Okay! - We'll look for the rabbit
on the day of your moon party. - You mean the night.
The moon's only out at night. - Are you sure about that?
- Huh? <i> [curious music]</i> Whoa! You can see the moon
in the daytime? - Yes, sometimes you can. - Oh, I never
noticed that before. - But wait. What's wrong with the moon?
- What do you mean? - When we celebrate Otsukimi, the moon is always round,
like a circle. See? But now
it's just a half circle! Lucita: Whoa!
Benny: You're right! - Why do you think that is? - Uh, maybe the moon is
disappearing! - Oh, or maybe the air's coming
out of it, like that ball! - Or--or maybe the moon's
being eaten by space aliens! - Whatever it is,
the moon's already half gone! Otsukimi is about celebrating
a big, round moon! We can't have the party
if the moon looks like that! - We need to figure out
what's going on. - I think I know someone
who can help us. <i> [heroic music]</i> <i> ♪ ♪</i> AJ: Whoa.
Benny: Ooh! Lucita: Whoa.
Sara: Ah! - Dr. Inventorman? I can't believe you built
your very own spaceship. - [chuckles]
Yes. I use it
for moon vacations, when I want to really
get away from it all. Look, here's a picture
from my last trip to the moon. Benny: Oh, wow!
AJ: So cool! - [squeaks]
- Whoa! <i> [light music]</i> - What are these?
- Solar panels. When the sun shines on them, it charges the batteries
that give my spaceship power! - Wow. - Dr. Inventorman,
we're worried about the moon. It's half gone! - Half gone? - It does look that way. <i> [gentle music]</i> - [gasps]
Ah, yes. So it does. - Can your spaceship
take us to the moon so we can find out
what's going on? - Why not? There's just enough room
on board for the four of you! - But we don't know
how to fly a spaceship. - You don't have to.
It can fly itself! It's the fastest spaceship yet. It can take you to the moon
and back by lunchtime. - Wow, this might be your
greatest super-invention ever! - Yes, it might be. - [squeaking] - Is there enough room on board
for a small hamster? - Oh, sure. Her ball can fit
in the luggage rack. - [squeaking] - [chuckles]
Then what are we waiting for? Let's go! <i> [energetic music]</i> - Oh!
- Whoa! ♪ ♪ - Yeah!
- I can't wait! - Whoo!
- Let's go! - I've got the perfect place where we can keep an eye
on them the whole time. Come with me! <i> [dramatic music]</i> <i> ♪ ♪</i> [panel beeping] All right, Sparks' Crew.

Ready!</i> - [squeaks] <i> - Just hit the red button
to turn the ship on.</i> - Okay, team.

- Whoa! - Liftoff!

the seat belt sign turns off.</i> - [grunts]
I couldn't get up if I tried! - Whoo-hoo! - [squeaks] <i> ♪ ♪</i> Sara: Wow. - We're actually in space! - It's amazing! - I-I can't believe it! [panel beeping] <i> - You can now move
around the ship.</i> <i> [energetic music]</i> - Hey!
We're floating! Lucita: Wow!
AJ: No way! - [laughs]
Check it out! <i> - It feels strange,
doesn't it?</i> <i> But in space,
it's completely normal</i> <i> and fun!</i> <i> Ooh, try a somersault.</i> - Oh, okay! [giggles] - Whoa! My bubbles are
pushing me around! [laughs]
- [squeaks] - I think Fur Blur's confused. - Let's put her
back in the rack. Catch! both:
I got it! - [squeaks] both:

Got ya! - [squeaking] - Look, the moon!
We're almost there already! <i> - I told you.</i> <i> I invented
the fastest spaceship ever.</i> - Dr. Inventorman,
are you sure this spaceship will land us on the moon? <i> - Oh, positive!</i> <i> You'll land in the same spot
I did a few weeks ago.</i> - But it looks like we're
heading for dark space! - Huh? - We're gonna miss it! <i>- Observe carefully.</i> <i>Are you sure
that's what you see?</i> - [gasps]
Hang on. The moon isn't half gone.
I can see the whole circle! - But half of it is dark. [panel beeping] <i> - The seat belt sign
has been turned on.</i> <i> Time to buckle in and
get ready to land on the moon!</i> <i> [exciting music]</i> - We hope.

standing on the moon! - Oh, boy!
I can't believe it! - Yippee!
This is awesome! Whoa, whoa, whoa! Whoa, did you see that? [grunting] [laughs] - We can super-jump
on the moon? [grunts]
Look at me go! - Whoa!
- Ooh, whoa! - Whoo!
[laughs] Benny:
[laughs] Ooh! And I don't even need bubbles
on my feet to do it! <i> - Looks like you've discovered</i> <i> how much fun
being on the moon can be!</i> - Ooh, I wonder
if I can still fly here. - Maybe investigate
and find out! - [grunts] Whoa, I can go
much higher than usual. Uh, too high! Oh... [all gasp]
all: Oh, no! - [groans] - Wait, Benny, I've got her! Got ya! - [sighs]
Thanks, Sara. - Wow, Lucita,
you feel light as a feather. <i> - Everything feels
lighter on the moon</i> <i> than it does on Earth.</i> - Everything? I have to investigate that! <i> [dynamic music]</i> [grunts] Huh?

all over your ball. - [squeaks] - Oh, there you go,

but we need to stay focused. The moon's supposed to look
round for Otsukimi next week. But from Earth,
it looks half gone. - Because it's half dark.
But why? <i>- That's a good question.</i> <i>And asking questions is
a great Superpower of Science!</i> [Fur Blur squeaks, all gasp] - Over there! <i> [suspenseful music]</i> Look what Fur Blur found! - [squeaks] - A lawn chair? - Why is there a lawn chair

where I left it!</i> - Oh, yeah!
[chuckles] Remember Dr. Inventorman's
vacation picture? Thought projecting. - Uh, but wait! In that picture,
it's bright out. - Hey, yeah. So bright that
he was wearing sunglasses! - So the sun must have been
making the moon bright! - Hmm.
- But it's not bright here now. The sun's nowhere in sight. - Dr. Inventorman,
how could the sun shine here on your chair when you were
on vacation but not now? <i> - Another excellent question.</i> <i> If it was bright
back then, wh--</i> <i> [static buzzing]</i> <i> [indistinct speech]</i> [alarm blaring] <i> [tense music]</i> <i> ♪ ♪</i> - Um, what just happened? - Oh, I think our spaceship
just lost power. Now it's really dark out here. - I just hope the batteries
in our flashlights last. - [gasps] Our ship runs
on batteries, too, remember? Maybe the batteries ran out! - The batteries
are supposed to charge when the sun shines
on those solar panels. - But the sun isn't shining. So we can't charge
the batteries. - And if the battery
can't give the ship any power, we're stuck here! - What are we gonna do?
- Don't worry. I'm sure Mr. Sparks
and Dr. Inventorman already know we have a problem. I bet they're calmly working
on a solution right now. [alarm blaring] - Uh, uh,
wh--why can't we reach them? - Their power is off,
and it's not coming back on! <i>- ¿Qué puedo hacer?</i> W-what can I do? - They can't get back to Earth
if the spaceship has no power! both:
Then what do we do? <i> Mr. Sparks: My students
may have been out of power,</i> <i> but they weren't powerless.</i> - Hmm, I wonder how long
before they send help. - Don't count on being back
in time for lunch. - Aw, Fur Blur doesn't like
missing lunch. Hey, where is Fur Blur? - Huh?
I don't know! - Oh, with all that moon dust
on her hamster ball, she can't see very well. What if she's lost... in the dark on the moon? - Don't worry, Benny.
We'll find her. - Mm, how? - By observing.
Look! Her hamster ball
left a trail in the dust. We can follow it. - Hey, yeah!
Come on! - We're coming for you,
Fur Blur! <i> [heroic music]</i> - [gasps]
There she is! <i> ♪ ♪</i> - Oh, thank goodness! Uh, uh-oh!
She's heading for that crater! - [squeaking] - Fur Blur! - Come on! - Be there in a snap! [grunting] I can't snap in moon gloves! <i> [tense music]</i> - [squeaks] - Fur Blur! - [squeaks] <i> ♪ ♪</i> - Uh-oh. <i> ♪ ♪</i> - [grunts]
- Oh, no! - I got it!
Whoa! - [grunts]
- [squeaks] - Uh-oh! - [squeaks]

I got it! - Benny, you got it! - [grunts] Yes!
- It's a catch! - Yes!
- Way to go! <i> [victorious music]</i> - Oh, you're okay now, girl. - [squeaks] <i> [lively music]</i> <i> ♪ ♪</i> - Hamster rescue complete. - Too bad
we can't rescue ourselves. Our ship is still out of power. - And there's no sunlight
to charge the batteries. - Maybe Dr. Inventorman
is building a new spaceship to come and get us. - But that could take weeks! Oh, Sara, we'll miss Otsukimi! - There won't be
a moon party to miss. The moon needs to look round,
like a circle, not like a half circle. [groans] - [gasps]
Hmm. Fur Blur's ball kind of looks
like a half circle now. - Because the light
coming from Sara's helmet is only shining on part of it. Thought projecting. That's what the moon looked
like from Earth. Half bright, half dark. - And we landed
in the dark half. - [gasps] That must mean the sun's
shining on the bright half! So why don't we just
move our spaceship there? - Yes, if we move it
to the bright half, the sun can charge
our solar panels... - And charge our batteries! - So we can fly home!
Great plan! - Uh, but wait! How can we move the ship
if it has no power? - And if Sara
can't teleport it there? - Um...
[gasps] We push it!
It is on wheels. - But it's got to be
super heavy, too heavy for even you, Sara. - Sure, on Earth. But don't forget, things
seem lighter on the moon! - Right!
- Okay, team. Let's put this plan
to the test! <i> [dramatic music]</i> One, two, three, push! [all straining] - It's moving!
We're doing it! Go, crew!
- We're pushing it! - Yes! [grunts]
Uh, wait a minute. Which way to the bright side? Lucita:
Um... <i> [light tense music]</i> [gasps] I can see light
behind those hills! It's that way.
Let's go! [all straining] - Pushing...
- [squeaks] <i> [heroic music]</i> <i> ♪ ♪</i> - [grunts] [all grunting] - [pants]
So rocky... [all straining] - Come on, we got this! <i> ♪ ♪</i> - So close! <i> ♪ ♪</i> - Ya-hoo!

everything so bright! - Yeah, compared to back there,
where it was so dark. - Comparing is a great
Superpower of Science. - Now we just have to get this
ship slowly down this hill. [ship groaning]
- Uh-oh. - [gasps]
- Oh, no! [spaceship continues groaning]
- Uh... - Oh, come on! <i> [suspenseful music]</i> <i> ♪ ♪</i> - Uh-oh. <i> ♪ ♪</i> Is the ship okay? [spaceship powers on] Lucita: [gasps]
It's better than okay. The sunlight is
charging the batteries! - Yes!
- Hooray for sun! - We did it! <i> - Ay, ay, ay!</i> Where are they,
where are they? - Hello,
i-is this Rent-a-Rocket? Uh, do you have
any spare rockets? <i> - Sparks' Crew
to Mission Control.</i> - [gasps]
Sparks' Crew! <i>- Ay, qué bueno!</i>
Ah, that's good! Is everyone okay? - We sure are!
And guess what. It turns out the moon
wasn't half gone. It was just half dark. - Because the moon
is only bright where the sun shines on it. - But since we landed
on the dark part of the moon, our batteries ran out. - So we pushed the ship
to where the sun is shining, and recharged the batteries. Easy! - Easy?
Huh! Tell that to my sore muscles. [laughter] <i> - [laughs]</i>
Fantástico! <i> I am so proud of you all!</i> - But it's too bad
the moon's still half dark. We can't celebrate Otsukimi
next week without a round moon. <i>- Oh, I wouldn't cancel
the party just yet.</i> <i>As you've probably noticed,
the moon is full of surprises.</i> <i> - Just keep your eyes
