Hermitcraft 8 | Ep 30: IT'S RAINING RAVAGERS!!!

what's going on everyone my name is impulse and welcome back to hermitcraft how are you guys doing today i am i'm looking dapper aren't i i got my hat on to start the episode so nice to have this back from pearl who tried to steal it from me but we got work to do we gotta get serious because we have a serious amount of room right here above the cactus farm that i'd like to fill with some bamboo yeah we're gonna do some bamboo farming today um i need to use this i need fuel right we talked about this i've been putting the cactus into the smelterator machine down here which is uh i see the cart trying to deliver cactus which probably means one thing yep it's full it's full nothing's being smelted at the moment because we don't have the fuel for it so we're gonna solve that problem today first and foremost and that means it is time to get a bunch of redstone together and build up this bamboo farm [Music] [Applause] [Music] and the bamboo farm is now done and i absolutely love it because the way we built it it's actually got that glass fog effect and you can see through all the slices we did and so we are growing bamboo all along here all along here here some of these we're sharing the redstone which is pretty smart and here so i think there's what five slices of this happening and that's gonna be a lot of bamboo collected here you can see i've got some minecarts this was actually the most challenging part trying to figure out how i was going to collect this bamboo oh and coming over to this corner just reminded me something funny happened while i was building this up or right before i was about to get started you see i had my redstone box just sitting out because you know we're doing a redstone project and i was streaming and pearl decided she was gonna come by and try to steal my redstone box but it didn't work out for her check this out [Music] so yeah i'd say she got her comeuppance there tried to steal my redstone box especially when i needed it to finish this project but look at how tight all this redstone is on this side so what we're doing here is we have the hopper minecarts rolling underneath this is the blocks the bamboos on top of which you can put bamboo on moss apparently only in the java edition of minecraft which is strange there are some differences of course between java and bedrock but that's one of them apparently so i thought it would look good on moss and here we have the carts picking up any of the bamboo that falls and then as it comes to the end here we've got our little item drop-off station so basically it's going to go over top of this hopper here and as it's unloading this comparator is going to see that and turn off the rails so that the cart actually stops let's see if we can demonstrate this as it picks some up there we go you see it stop and unload and then it goes again i didn't give it that many did i but now we're to the another challenging part because of how tight everything is back here i've got this dropper system happening so basically whenever items get put into the bottom dropper it's going to spit it up here and we need to carry it out of here on a waterway because what i want to do and this is going to be so much fun you guys know this room is all about fun i'd like to carry it along in ice stream here so it's more visual right we see all the bamboo flowing and then i want to drop it into another one of these bits where we're gonna launch the item across the room just like we're doing with the cactus if you don't remember so we still have the cactus flying around and now potentially having bamboo fly across and if we fly it over to this wall here we can drop it right into the loading zone for the fuel right because bamboo is obviously a fuel source if you didn't know that it's not a good fuel source i mean look how many we burn through just to get one item um come on now you can do it that's four so far five bamboo and it went um so yeah it's gonna it's gonna chew through bamboo i think maybe it was four anyway uh we're gonna need a lot of bamboo but that's why we built such a big bamboo farm so my next step is to figure out how to get this ice way all linked up and then start another slime launcher to launch it over there all right progress is being made we've got the water streams now in and they are shooting out of the dispensers and um yeah making a little bit of a mess so we're going to cover that up real quick fix that problem and then let me show you guys where this is all heading it's going to come straight through the water stream all the way over and then we're dropping it down into another slime block launcher down below so i was able to just steal signal from this one so i don't need a whole new clock or anything and as the bamboo falls into this spot check this out see if we can catch the next one it is going to shoot on over and hit that wall which is exactly what we want because now we can actually put a hopper there catch it and feed it into the system which i'm going to do next but yeah even more things now animated in this room that we can watch we can watch the bamboo come through that water canal that's fun and then we can come over here and uh it's gonna it's probably gonna look like it's shooting right at us let's wait for it all right we see the bamboo coming in there we go and wait for it and bam shoots right over to us and it's all just sitting down there which is obviously we're gonna put a hopper and as i was standing here watching this waiting for a harvest i noticed our view is a little obstructed here we put in these blackstone bricks the polish blackstone bricks it would be nice if that was actually just a clear window all the way across we're gonna have a little bit of redstone in the way but i'd like to be able to see all the bamboo in the farm a little bit better so i think i'm gonna do that next and then we'll go ahead and make sure we get the system in to collect that down there because uh at the moment yeah we're just we're just wasting bamboo progress things are coming along looking spectacular uh that was definitely the way to go we took down those blackstone walls and now you can see all the bamboo growing also i was able to push the redstone back made sense to push it back into the middle there so we only needed one line to activate the entire row of pistons and that looks good now it's kind of out of the way we can see even more bamboo growing there and we'll watch it as it harvests which it doesn't look like anything super close just yet maybe we'll get a chance to see it go off but we also replaced a lot of the obsidian blocks that we were using and the droppers the immovable blocks with much better looking crazy lime glazed terracotta blocks which i never use but in a room that's you know supposed to be wonkified as you will uh like this they turned out perfect in here i think it looks great and we just have all these things flying around and somewhere there's a zombie stuck in my walls and also i did a bit of redstone as well we've got this kind of figured out we're trying to deliver the bamboo as the fuel source to the back of this furnace array and so we put this in here we've got the the shulker box here that's got almost full it's almost completely full it's missing one item which means it waits until this cart is completely full with bamboo before it releases it and what we've done here is just slowed down the track a little bit so this cart's gonna roll nice and slow to distribute that bamboo because it takes four bamboo to smelt one item so we need to make sure that as it's traveling it's able to drop off that many to get the cactus going otherwise it's just gonna get wasted so i think that's working for now it's kind of slow the bamboo is now trickling in and the system is smelting there we go i think we've got about three stacks since i put this in place so this is starting to fill up with green dye which means it's about time people like we could make a shop out of this and start selling cactus and green dye i don't know if it's going to be very popular but then again i thought the same thing of my lycan store and that's done quite well so anyway speaking of shops i think we should probably go check it's been a while and i got a feeling i'm running out of material so let's go check the stock exactly what is happening right now okay i have to investigate i can't leave this alone we we have to look are they underground hello oh my goodness there's there's goats underground there's two of them you guys are super loud what is this about why are there goats in a boat screaming goats no matter what is happening really that's your story and you're sticking to it [Music] this has to be [Laughter] why do i have a sneaking suspicion this is some sort of payback from doc and ren i mean you know they did have screaming goats last i checked oh my gosh this cannot be good for business [Applause] oh man i don't know what to do with these guys what should we do with them i mean i wouldn't feel bad just taking them out but we can't have screaming goats underneath our shop oh my gosh okay i'm gonna have to okay all right leave comments what am i supposed to do with these screaming goats people i don't know i i would feel bad killing them so um but we have to do something about them wait i know what we can do friendly creatures off what screaming goats everything is fine by the way you can see i actually got rid of the item frames and locked them so now we can't accidentally turn things and hit things and have them pop off how great is that that is so much better the one thing is you do have to kind of like find the right pixel to right click on to open the barrel which is kind of annoying um these ones are kind of nice though because you can see them from the side but it looks like hey we're doing all right there we go finally something's sold i'm gonna take some notes of some things we need get the stock going again just to make sure we're not missing any business and uh yeah i think we better more liking is needed i i think it's cub fan buying up all my marketing campaign i you know how big business they like to um they like they like to simplify things down what do you think robot mumbo mumbo is [Laughter] so you know how companies like to switch compete with chaoticness on on boating meetings i think this might have been the most chaotic meeting we've achieved so i couldn't follow it at all i died and yeah my reveal had a creeper in it yeah it all went badly but that's how we do yeah that's how we do mumbo gets fired yeah my feel was [Laughter] and in the end nothing nothing's changed this is the most corporate meeting ever [Applause] business business nothing has changed i'm out mumbo you didn't even sound upset that you got demoted honestly i'm surprised i lasted this long all right so in case you missed that in the chaoticness that was that meeting bodum is now btm we're simplifying the brand apparently and uh mumbo's been replaced by by this potato and he's no longer ceo and instead i guess he is our new janitor so uh that was a great meeting and chaotic as usual uh you guys have seen the giant eye in the sky right we have yeah can we not see it at this point actually gross they've made the arms and legs out of the veins i think it needs those eye drops right to the clear eye stuff [Laughter] a little bit bloodshot on there it's not as it's not as good as what we did with the bow because it's like i'm not seeing any kind of like shadow even being cast so i'm not really sure what the purpose of this thing is no it's true why are you guys all pranking each other by the way i come back and there's just there's more there's a prank war going on by the way i killed a bunch of goats oh yeah wait is that what we're doing with these annoying goats oh my gosh i need that i need that that looks fantastic all right let's have a little read of here okay greetings bottom with a capital e for some reason oh wait did it just shift by itself well i didn't press next oh it's going too quickly the time is gone we were people's stuff okay all my stuff is around here i've got 25 saddles oh 25 saddles geez how many ravagers i think i have about 10 myself wait did we kill them all okay i didn't kill any so someone killed a lot all right i just hid in a hole in the ground that seemed to work why is the oh so big now pearl it makes your base look tiny the moon's not getting bigger we're getting smaller oh no he's getting up shopping at videos so like do they win i don't know how to top this i mean it sure feels like they won yeah there's no way we're topping that i have an idea a bigger boat oh we all get a bunch of tnt and we blow their base up whoa take off the screaming take off the goat head scar it's making you angry do you feel better i do feel a little bit better i feel a little enraged to be honest with you good job moons somebody passed gas a minute ago there was things falling from the sky it's been a wild time coming back i'll tell you that right now yeah that's not about the gas welcome back to bottom well that was insane yeah there's there's there's still a few fellas around you see them bouncing really yeah you see them bouncing above the g train oh no should we get some pets yeah yeah can we keep oh there's screaming goats over here oh i don't think so you can get them in mine carts though oh some of these pickaxes over here yeah it's all my stuff oh no okay and in the cart perfect except it's on top of scar stuff that might be problematic i got it i don't got it just does anybody else did you guys pick it up what am i what am i trying to get here huh uh pickaxe probably just a pickaxe honestly did you get it yes yeah nice oh yeah there we go look at that and it jump shot the boot let's not forget what the book said this is a peace offering this is the friendship this is their idea of making friends i i'd hate to see this escalate any more than that though i mean that was insane well um we banded together and took care of however many hundred ravagers that was so ggg we should have led them into mumbo's base and left them there that's true oh man of course mobo's not here for this he's not here for the good times all the bad times exactly wait did we fire him yeah he's no longer there that's the reason why he was demoted yep yeah he's the janitor he should have been cleaning this up exactly in fact his new job as janitor is to clean up the giant eyeball in the sky perfect here we go all right good job you're happy for the work yeah all right we got to let mumbo know yeah he's got he's got a job i really hope he does well because i'd hate to demote him any further you get demanded much further well gg big guys crew i'll give them some props now i'm gonna go deal with the goats actually that's not a bad idea all right that's gonna
