welcome back to the hermitcraft uh ladies and gentlemen and today we are at the pyramid once more we are gonna do some work here at the pyramid today i think because it's been a while since we've worked on a pyramid psych we worked on it last time up there with another portal room it was awesome you missed it too bad but seriously uh welcome back to hermitcraft guys also we have a new hermitage herald out don't think i've shown this yet but uh yeah it shows election results to become a mayor you must move mountains good times with scar on tuesday scar was elected mayor of hermitcraft he credits his win on his loyal manager b dubs and his cat jelly in the other race joe hills was elected dog catcher local dogs responded by demanding more bones and then we have of course the mayoral election results so scar 10 stress five false four mumbo zero and the dog catcher results joe 14 daffy duck one stress one so there you have it that is the hermit and herald volume eight which we wrote also some other things i've done since last time we've added four new categories onto our item sorter so we now have a basalt and blackstone chest right here for all basalt and blackstone things so that's nice right there we have another wood and plants chest so that's what this is looking like here so the wart blocks are in there nether warts in here weeping vines roots roots and other roots so yeah that is what that is we have prismarine we moved prismarine from the overworld chest to its own category so we got prismarine dark prismarines sea lanterns etc in here and then we have mob heads so all the mob heads we have are being sorted into here or at least the mob heads we have more than three of you can see some of the item filters up here so these this is the mob head item filter for instance and yeah the other filters are pretty much as you'd expect so prismarine stuffs and then here's our nether plants stuffs uh and then the basalt and blackstone stuff right here so yeah pretty straightforward but yeah good to have those and i'm thinking i'm also gonna add i think i'm gonna add a couple more categories here i have at least five more categories in mind so like fireworks could be in one then like workstations then probably buttons and pressure plates because those are very rarely uh put into this order um so we could separate that out from just the regular wood uh items like slabs and stairs and fences and stuff that might be a good thing and then maybe like uh maybe like the netherwood stuff so instead of like netherwood logs like maybe it would make sense for the netherwood planks and stairs and signs and doors and stuff to have its own separate category um so we have a couple more categories then maybe also banners banners is probably something i want to get uh on this eventually so we hit we're gonna be expanding more to this next wall um but yeah still have plenty of expansion room here speaking of our sorter i think i want to do something today which i've meant to do for a while but just haven't gotten around to it yet and that is cover up all the redstone you see here so all this redstone that makes the multi-item sorter work with some sandstone so i'm thinking we're gonna basically bring down a wall of sandstone here and other sandstone variants um probably keep the glowstone on the outside wall so it provides nice lighting on the outside wall um and then yeah just basically close everything in here make a nice entrance and yeah that should make this look a little bit nicer especially once we're starting to build some stuff out here which i plan to do somewhat soon so yeah we won't have to look at a whole bunch of redstone mess here instead it'll be a nice little like sandstone wall type thing so i think we have sandstone over here to use so sandstone and we have a bunch of sand we can also put toward this project although this is not going to be anywhere close to what we need uh this is actually gonna be a huge project but i think we're up to it and i think we can make a nice little entrance here on every side so let's go ahead and start this and i'll be right back all right first attempt at an entrance is now done here's what we have and i think this could potentially work this could potentially work i do want to see what it looks like once we have the sides built up though so let's go ahead and build up the sides here all the way down and see what it looks like then all right guys so as you can see we got the walls now done on the sides here and yeah i think this now looks a lot better with the context of the walls uh in place so yeah you see we went with some lantern lighting to light up the thing a little bit around the entrance portion so where we go into the sorting room here um so yeah that's nice and we have the ore of course above so in this case it's gold ore uh we also got the walls done all the way around the rest of the outside i'll just quickly try and run around here and show you what it's looking like i might need to reduce the number of holes here i actually i had a bunch of holes initially but now that i'm looking at this i'm thinking probably will be better without those holes here in a lot of spots so like let me do stuff like that there we go so yeah let's just run around the whole outside here you can see what it looks like so yeah this is the gold section right here we make our way around here we've got the diamond section over here and yes we do have the diamond blocks to do this so we did it why not uh so yeah there's that section right there and then over here we got the emerald section so emerald section there and yeah everything else is pretty much pretty much the same similar design of the walls and stuff we tried to mix blocks in as best we can and try to make you know a couple of uh holes and things here this looks a little weird here so let's just do something like that there we go all right so uh yeah now that we have this whole thing outside of the redstone done i think i might want to go through and put down slabs to cover up those stairs because it seems a little bit weird that we can like look in and see like the side of glowstone for instance like right here so i'm thinking probably go through and put down uh sandstone slabs where we see uh sandstone up here just to sort of set back the glowstone a little bit uh so that would be the next step so let's do that and i'll be right back sandstone slabs now adore the underside of the giant room here and it also serves nicely to sort of set back the glowstone a little bit as you can see and one other cool thing is if i like basically backtrack here you can see at low viewing angles the glowstone now effectively disappears which i think is really cool it sort of hides the lighting without it actually being hidden so kind of a cool effect we got right there from putting down those sandstone slabs so very happy we did that but now that that is done i feel like we're ready to move on to a new project so uh the new project we're gonna start here is a project which will allow us to travel out to the desert temple from the sorting room in style and so we're actually going to be building a monorail here so we're going to build a monorail from like roughly here to the desert temple area because we frequently travel over here to you know record uh record the cost of goods which currently stands at 1714 uh or we go over here to the ice boat road because we have our ice boat road drop here and then the water column that brings us back up from the iceberg road here so we got some things over here we need to connect to the sorting room so a monorail i think is the way to go and i'd like the monorail to be visible so you know we want to be able to see it going back and forth we want it to be able to like call it if it's on the opposite side that'd be a cool thing to have um and i'm thinking we're also gonna put the monorail itself in a scrab enclosure basically so scrub is a beetle basically a desert beetle um and there's a lot of like really cool jewelry and stuff uh with scrap beetles from like egypt and things so yeah i think that fits quite well and also endermites fit the bill for skrabs pretty well so we're going to try and make like our own lure here essentially with this you'll see i marked out an area here with these blocks this is the area we need to dig out so it's going to be an absolutely massive area because we need a monorail in there and then we need to build an environment for scrap beetles inside that inside this this thing as well so yeah gonna be a big project but it should be a lot of fun and yeah let's go ahead and start this project by starting to dig out this whole area right here [Music] so [Music] do [Music] big hole has now been dug out so this is where we're gonna have our scrab enclosure and then right in the middle uh basically like from this point here all the way across to this point here at about this speed we're traveling right now is going to be our monorail i will also probably need to dig out a little bit you know into the the ground here to actually make the monorail track itself um so yeah we'll do that so i think next step is to actually go ahead and make the monorail itself so let's go ahead and do that and i'll be right back all right guys so as you can see here we got our monorail set up so looks like this uh this is not quite complete but it's enough to potentially test out so we're gonna give it a shot and see what happens stuff could break but uh i think it probably will work uh because i've tested this before and it's worked every time so the way this works we basically ride this thing so we basically stand in between these fence gates here you could even have these fence gates open it doesn't really make that much of a difference uh in fact it makes no difference since we're on honey blocks because honey blocks can pull entities which is something slime blocks can't do if those of you guys who uh see this and might recognize this this is actually from my let's play world this is a monorail that was designed initially by morsi's minecraft except it used slime blocks and uh yeah it worked okay but you would sometimes fall through the contraption but now with honey blocks uh that doesn't happen so it works perfectly fine so you can see back here all that it takes really is a timer and then a comparator clock to basically run pistons which are offset by one tick uh each one of these offset by one tick going down this way and that's all there is to it everything else is just controlled by this honey carriage basically so we're gonna get in here give it a shot fingers crossed this works so three two one oh yeah pretty sweet pretty sweet there we go okay it works how awesome is that sweet so there we go we moved about 50 blocks in just a few seconds uh and then we can get off and go on with our day at least that's the idea we are going to need to make another station down here and we also want to make a call line to be able to call like let's say if we're over at the sorting room and we want to take the monorail we want to be able to call the monorail from that side and the same here if it's down that way we want to be able to call it down from here um so yeah we're gonna add all that stuff and once that's done i'll be back all right guys so we got the call function in uh you can see if i make my way down here maybe yep here's the call line right here and there's one for the other side uh right here as well uh in case the carts on the like if it was down here and we were down there um yeah but let's go ahead and see if this thing works press this button here it comes beautiful and let's make sure it stops so that this is totally flush all right very good and so yeah we can call it down here and then we can just ride it back ourselves how awesome is that all right so now the launch and call buttons are both in place uh now the only thing is we need to do is we have to basically put in some immovable blocks here so we can easily step in don't have to jump in like this um so i've already done that on this side using some crying obsidian so yeah this is the new obsidian block editing 116. so i think we're going to use these and then uh we can then cover this section up but this has to be a movable block so like sandstone would not work so i'm thinking maybe like campfires could be cool because they're kind of like you know like railroad tracks and they also can't be moved by uh pistons so i'm thinking campfires are the way to go here i think campfires will work uh extinguish campfires that is otherwise we have you know a bunch of smoke particles everywhere um so yeah campfires all along the top here and then i probably want to enclose this somehow just by probably bringing up more sandstone like so like this um and then we'll probably have like glass on this level and then maybe every once in a while we'll have like a structure that goes up like this uh and then maybe like you know comes over like so and then sort of encloses it like this a little bit something something like that like some type of structure that encloses it i think would look really nice so yeah let me go ahead and decorate this thing finish up these last few details and then we'll test out our fully completed monorail can i just take a moment here to thank moyang for adding the ability of water bottles to put out campfires this is probably the first time i've ever used this feature on a large scale so just wanted to say thanks because this actually does help and make sure that we don't destroy our redstone here by waterlogging the the campfire so that's awesome so yeah we're just going to go ahead and continue to use these water bottles here and put out all these campfires all right guys so we got the monorail set up here's what it's looking like right here we got the sandstone lining the sides we got the sandstone on the roof and we got some soul lanterns as well uh which provide a little bit of lighting for the top although the top is actually half slabs so nothing can spawn there anyways but i thought it looked cool with the uh the soul lanterns there anyways let's go ahead and get on down into it and see what it looks like from inside so if we head on down here yep here's what it's looking like so here's our little area where we stand we stand right in between the defense gate and the uh other fence gate and then hit the button and it'll take us right down this track which is looking pretty nice so let's go ahead and do it right on down slide on down there we go easy so yeah it's pretty quick to get over there and i think it's actually comparable to uh like walking around the side which i'll show you um but yeah let's go ahead and just hit the button again head on back we'll run through a ghost block here but that's fine sometimes there are ghost blocks with this thing but in general it works pretty well so there we have it there we have it those ghost box go away when you relog by the way um so yeah that is the monorail right there so looking pretty sweet and of course we got the call buttons and stuff working as well we also made this little staircase down out of crimson wood and we put down some crimson wood out front here which i think we're probably going to make this crimson roof uh crimson wood go all the way around so we'll have it you know like line this uh this glowstone bit right here and then you know what i might have to move this over one block actually yeah i think i'm gonna have to move this over one block and then we've added this polished blackstone border around our sort of pit right here because again this is going to be a scrub enclosure right here so that's what this is going to be and yeah we added some stuff here i think i'm going to continue the red carpet too so we'll have like this red on red look so crimson red and then the red wool thing should look really nice together so that should be cool anyways i'm going to keep decorating this area i'd like to have this go all the way around and we still need to make the way down over here to the to the second sort of station here uh with the uh the monorail and we also need to incorporate the quick drop and the bubble column these two things into that uh solution so we'll have to make a nice little entrance area here so give me a sec i'm gonna keep working on this and i'll be right back all right a little bit more progress has now been made ladies and gentlemen we have this pathway now uh starting to come together a little bit with the red wool and the crimson wood and also the hidden lighting underneath which is kind of nice we have a nice little stairway now down uh to this side of the monorail which is the desert temple side so this stairway leads right down to the monorail area right here so that's pretty cool we also have an identical staircase on the opposite side right here so yeah both staircases lead down to the monorail itself which is quite nice and we also have hooked up the ice boat road section so this comes up from the ice boat road and this area over here comes or actually leads down to the ice boat road so this is now how we get to the ice boat road you come down these steps turn to the left fall down here land in water walk straight forward get in the boat we can then go to the end or our skeleton farm or this way is to the shopping district then we come back slow down here get rid of our boat put in the chest it recycles the boat and then we go up the water column here and this leads us to the other side of the monorail at which point we can either call this so we hit that button it'll call the monorail down we can launch it with that or you just go straight up you just go up this staircase and you're up to the to the top so a lot of mobility around here i'm digging it hopefully you guys are as well so that is that section completed you can also see around here we got some black stained glass panes down now these black stained glass panes are mostly to prevent people from just straight up jumping into what will be the scrub enclosure in here so you have to actually you know try to get in there you can't just straight up jump in there although with with jump boost from those beacons up there we sometimes can um but yeah i've started to place down some basalt in here because i'd like basalt to be sort of the primary block of the scarab environment we're going to have down here but i ran out of basalt since i ran out of basalt i think we're going to make a temporary basalt farm i say temporary because i'm not exactly sure where i want this to be in the end like where i want it to sort of permanently reside but it should be a pretty fun farm to build it's pretty easy farm to build and it should give us a whole bunch of basalt so uh yeah let's go and we're gonna basically need to get some things i have some soul sand or soil soil rather and some blue ice so now we just need some lava buckets so we're gonna go and grab some lava buckets here one two three four five six seven eight nine ten ten lava buckets perfect that's all we need all right guys so we got ourselves a basalt farm up and working now here's what it looks like so this is a very very basic farm but it should be pretty quick we're gonna test out how quick it is in just a second here but yeah basically the way it works uh we got our lava up here so we have five blocks of lava right here five blocks of lava on this side we got ten blocks of blue ice on top and then ten blocks of sole soil on the bottom right here so this stuff right here um and then we have a minecart track here which we're going to put some minecart hoppers on this is going to be what collects some of the stuff in the final four blocks of the farm and so yeah we have that and then we just have a haste 2 beacon which i put up and then this contraption here which basically moves a honey block back and forth and yeah the stairs move with it but that's fine doesn't really make that much of a difference so yeah all we do now step in here mine away so we can either just manually move our mouse like this or we can just stand on one side flick the lever here and you'll see now all i have to do is hold down the left mouse button and i automatically mine the basalt as i move in front of it so that's pretty much it and that should then result in i turn this off here real quick which results in ourselves getting a bunch of basalt look at that that little brief couple seconds just got us over a stack of basalt and we got some here as well so yeah not too shabby almost two stacks already so i'm gonna do a test for let's say five minutes and we're gonna see how much basalt we can get in five minutes all right guys so here we go five minute test we got everything cleared out here so let's go ahead and do it i'm just gonna manually start digging out so here we go five minutes see how much we can get all right five minutes is now up so let's stop right there the farm will fill back in as it slows down and let's see we're getting more stuff coming in here so yeah give me a sec here i'm gonna also dump off what we collected standing up front and yeah once this all comes in we'll see what we got all right guys so we got a total of 1488 basalt in just five minutes so multiplying that by 12 to get the number per hour you get about 18 000 basalt per hour with this farm which is pretty phenomenal and yeah you can obviously see it's super super quick and yeah definitely a very useful basalt farm it doesn't break ever because yeah it hardly has any redstone like this is really the only redstone you actually need right here probably don't even need this part right here to move back and forth but i guess you could if you uh you wanted to you know afk and just put a weight on your mouse button that could work for you uh but i don't really think i even need this part to be honest i think we just use this part it's fast enough that yeah i can just cut through it like this and just move back and forth and get all the salt i could ever possibly need so yeah that is the basalt farm now up and working very very nice before i go today i just want to say a huge thank you to everybody who has subscribed to me on youtube recently we just passed 750 000 subscribers on the channel which means we're three quarters of a way to the big 1 million so thank you everybody who has
