Hermitcraft 10 - Trident Shop! - Ep. 14

hello everyone welcome to episode 14 from the hermitcraft server today we are starting with some material Gathering and accidental diamond mining started today off in the mines because as you can see we have male and that male is a bunch of trident Trident Farm by Etho hey Jim I got the Trident Farm mostly working I can show you how to use it sometime here are some Trident to help you out for now nice oh Etho is the best we'll have to reach out to Etho next time I see him online to see if we can learn how to work that thing ourselves but now that we've got all these Trident and well I've got even more in here I guess it's finally time to put that permit to use let's see where where is it is it in here yeah there it is two more permits to build shops for all the coral we'll worry about that another day and tri my golden permit now it's time to plan a shop ooh can I get her can I get her can I can I get her can I get her yes hi false oh false is mean oh no I'm mean it's okay can be I deserved it I deserved it I'm sorry you do you deserve more than that as well but I'll I'll say that for another time it's just an arrow to the face I did it hit where did it hit me I didn't even hit Hermits anyways to the shopping district first things first let's check and see how our sales are doing okay y we're still making Diamonds oh even the clay is selling then of course we've still got our temporary shops over here Trident haven't sold since I increased the price oh got the coral and the pickles are sold out why are the pickles selling out who's using all these pickles you guys told me that the pickles wouldn't sell they might be my top seller everybody's buying pickles my gosh now I want these two shops to be next to each other in their final form and I also want them to be next to water so I've done a little bit of scoping as you can see we we do have a lot of water around here but I need a bigger area of water so right behind the permit office office here this scaffolding this is my scaffolding can I do it nope nope hold on second time aha future ocean shops gem I thought that this would be a great place to put a trident shop and also a coral shop so I put a ton of scaffolding around cuz I I don't know exactly where I want to put it I just know that I want it to be here and now I've got a shulker of stone and a crafting table so that's we're basically set up I mean that's all you need right now I have a pretty good idea for this location and the reason I went with the Trident shop first is because uh well I want to do an organic but in order to do that we're going to need to set up a better platform for my shop my idea at the moment is to have a shop here where this main pillar is that leads us down into the water and then we can maybe have our coral and pickle shop down in the water so the Trident shop will act as kind of a above ground marker for that probably I don't know exactly and the reason I brought a ton of stone of course is because what we're going to have to mark out a whole bunch of this for construction give us a big platform to do the organic on we can worry about a bunch of the detailing and texturing of this later for now I basically just want a big old Square from which I can build and plan and unfortunately I think these trees are going to have to go what I'm trying to work out now is the rough entrance to the shop since I'm trying to do a big organic with a trident involved it's not going to be so obvious where people should enter the shop so I'm trying to give myself a starting point from which people can approach the organic hopefully this will be I mean it's kind of facing this way instead of facing the shopping district hopefully that'll be fine I really want to involve the water but maybe I'll have a back entrance as well just in case [Music] with the platform in it's time to get serious about things so I've gathered up a few materials hell LA and it's time to head back now and actually get to building oh and I've also grabbed some pickles so that we can restock the pickle shop these Hermits love their pickles whoa this is so pretty is go hello hi am I talking to a horn is that gem that that was the name I gave him oh it's kind of cool it looks like a graffiti I think it looks perfect I would have never thought to transition the colors in that way but it it works I flew in from a distance and was like what is that I've never seen that color combo I'm not a professional and then these things happen this is not my thing but yeah no I'm having fun with it how are you great good job I'm I'm good I was heading to stock my shops and you distracted me along the way what do you sold out on cuz I've been buying some coral and I pickles pickles would you believe it isal pickles are probably my top seller who buys pickles in I have no idea I keep selling out I have to stack Stacks and stacks of pickles are they salty or are they sweet I think spicy spicy mhm what like CH you wait are you selling chili pickles yeah yeah yeah chili pickles oh okay now that makes sense chili pickles sounds M that sounds pretty good now I want chili pickles do that is that actually a thing uh yeah Canadian thing pretty sure I don't think it's a Canadian thing but I do think a Thing If you go to Sweden there are only sweet pickles well you can buy salty pickles but they're like probably 5 years old cuz no one ever buys those jars oh have you seen the apartments maybe you'd be maybe I'd interest you in a sale oh wait you're selling Apartments oh yeah I have this very nice uh for you actually this very nice uh Penthouse uhhuh right here that's not a penthouse wait this is low it's an Australian Penthouse it's an Australian penthouse scal it's just it's a bottom floor apartment it's an inspired it's an Australian pentos inspired by Pearl it's great we call it the Pearl okay maybe you should sell it to Pearl no no no that would be too obvious too easy too easy it's as if I would sell that point you will be so happy let me tell you this so happy you will oh my goodness you will love it you will love and also it doesn't come furnished so you able to furnish it yourself that's not a bonus okay well if you are looking for a furnished apartment maybe you are interested in the drain the drain yeah we call it the drain it's like a it's like a word for it's uh it's draining all your energy and excitement because it's so amazing it's up here with the with the towels with the towels yes they are for the drainage oh my God look it's got a plant this one is going to come furnished this one is going to come fished with it's getting moldy uh yeah uh don't worry about that we will have our people clean up all the mold all the stench if you ever smell a bit of a bit of cat it's from beef's beef's uh Casa over here is his cat is you know but but it will be cleaned up the smell will be gone right you're playing this role a little too well how much are these going for us go oh were you interested in um the Pearl the Pearl okay all the way at the bottom uh the the penthouse the penthouse at the bottom yeah yeah yeah yeah that's the one this is this is one of our most expensive ones okay uh-huh and I tried renting this out but apparently people don't want to rent so if you are to look into ownership over this that would be 50 diamond blocks oh my God as a one time um as a one time uh but don't take my word for it have you heard what beat up says oh yeah up there that's nice wow okay what says we need to get you like a raccoon head or something you're basically Tom Nook right now this is this is a steal and not in a good way you're stealing from me I'm not paying for that I don't know who Tom Nook is but want me to put you on the waiting list no sorry what was that I would actually like to be far away from the waiting list I would be I would like to be at the very bottom as far as possible well that is at the very bottom at the apartments in the apartments I'll cut you a special offer just because you are you okay yeah go on I'm going to going to sell it this is a onetime opportunity okay okay here it goes I can't believe I'm doing this I'm going to lower the price from the 50 diamond blocks to 50 diamonds and it can be yours 50 diamonds well that's a big the others because they they play they they have yeah I feel like you would add to shocking it's quick but there it is so quick God yeah uh please don't tell anyone that you bought it for 50 diamonds because others have paid that price in blocks so we keep it between you and me yeah others as in beef right there might be others on the waiting I got a few others on the waiting I'm sure I'm sure the Hermits are swarming to you right now SC e is calling every single day he's so yeah he's poor you know that right he's looking at the balcony one above you which I don't know if he will be able to afford specific I think he has to go in the towel one the drain yeah yeah because he's washed yeah exactly okay yeah there's a sales pitch and a half go ahead he'll love that yeah thanks je okay I'm leaving now before you sell me anything else okay see you jeem goodbye I think I just bought an apartment an unfinished pentos apartment on the bottom of the complex did I just get scammed not sure anyways let's carry on here are my box and the next order of business is planning this organic which I think for a fun treat let's head over to creative mode and see what we can mock up I find planning organic just a bit easier when I'm in creative and can fly around so here is me modeling up a stat you holding a trident seems to be the obvious choice of course I have actually done an ocean Trident big organic before I'll put that on the screen now so I was a little bit inspired by that but taking it to a much smaller scale I want this to really stand out in the shopping district and hopefully draw people in so I wanted the statue to be a bit friendlier than my previous Trident build now that I've started establishing what I want in creative mode it's time to bring it to this world and well as you can see I finished a platform wasn't too hard and now comes the part where I have to actually get this statue in place in creative mode I didn't actually work out any of the details of like where the uh actual shop is going to go and I'm honestly I'm still not sure on those details because I'm selling Trident and they're not really stackable and I'm not really going to have that much stock I don't actually need a huge store this is mostly just a giant billboard and then there'll be a single chest somewhere so for now using my creative practice as a reference I'm just going to basically try to build a statue Organics are one of those things that if somebody came by the shopping district right now and looked at what the heck I was doing they would think I have no idea how to build because it does genuinely look at that when you're just working on an organic at the start it's uh slow going so let's speed things up for a second progress update the arms are officially in and that means that I finally want to go ahead and get the Trident in as well this arm right here is the one that the Trident is going to fit in and that'll at least make it look like a trident shop so when people fly by here and see me building this crazy thing they can at least kind of know what it is in that hand I wanted it to maybe maybe have bubbles maybe a fish maybe a turtle I don't know I was looking at some statues of like Poseidon or or various Trident related statues and they all kind of had something in both hands so that's kind of what I've got going on here now unfortunately for our Trident there isn't a prismarine shop up in the shopping district quite yet and I feel like that would be the ideal block but there is at least a quartz shop yeah right where's the chess impulse where's the how do I these shops are get more complicated by the season oh okay it's in it's okay three diamonds per stack but he's only got blocks of quartz he doesn't have any smooth quartz what is this impulse come on it's fine I'll buy two stacks for now that should do me well and then I guess instead of prismarine we'll have to buy warped wood I guess that or copper not really sure something blue warped wood is Four Diamonds per stack let's go check the copper price wait this is such a good deal I never knew that this was here whose shop is this nine diamonds per Sher box of andesite Hello thank you I'll be taking that wow okay I got to remember where this is cuz that's going to be so good for my texturing anyways I was looking for copper I'm not sure where the copper shop is not going to lie wait is that it right there one stack for one diamond block that's that's actually a pretty good price as well I do I really have to craft these into diamond blocks come on you could take nine you could craft the diamond block yourself it's fine okay okay that's enough shopping let's get back to the Statue now and see if I can get a trident in the statue's [Music] arms every single time I make a statue in this game I get to the point in building the statue where I just want to give up and take it all down and do a structure because what is this like it ah the essence is there but it's it's just it's going to take so much work to get this to look like a nice statue of a trident wielder with a shop down at the bottom I think the next thing that I need is a little switch up in my routine and what I'm doing I need to basically start actually putting in the shop part so that I can visualize this whole thing better because right now the bottom like dress of this statue I I've done a a woman statue with like a dress on cuz I just I didn't want to do legs if I'm honest anyways uh yeah I'm going to cover this in shop so hopefully it shouldn't actually matter what goes here too much because we're just going to put a bunch of builds here kind of cover up a bunch of this and then once we do some texturing hair a crown I can fix it I can fix it it's just that's going to take a lot of work I'm literally modeling this statue off of my base it's like my base if it wasn't creepy I'm going to have a super pretty feminine Trident holding statue here with none of the horror that is present at my base currently so that people remember it's my shop however I am going to be still using the same colors as my base so we're going to have like the bamboo the Moss the dark oak hopefully kind of tie the two areas together all right let's see if that fixed anything oh yeah I mean instantly that just balances things out a bit better I think all right okay I'm feeling motivated again let's finish this shall we [Music] [Music] I have had an idea this whole time I've been building this I've been trying to think about what to put in this other hand originally I had a fish from my lighthouse there as like a placeholder but I've just been trying to figure out fig where the heck I'm going to actually put my shop and having structures here is kind of a bait cuz like obviously you'd kind of want to put it there but I thought about it some more and I realized the shop should just be here she's holding the shop this is the shop gosh it's so obvious when you think about it all day every day for a week so now it is officially time to finally go ahead and move the Trident shop uh-huh over to the new Statue oh and it looks so good from a distance I love the angle of the Trident you could totally see what this is meant to be when we get prismarine I'm going to do some other details here but for now I mean pretty good so I've added this water column just in case you don't have an elytra on you or you get confused or something you can water column your way up and then I think I'll literally just do a chest put the Trident in and do a sign I suppose I feel like this price here is still pretty good I'm pretty happy with that but I also kind of feel like we could probably do a bit better with the decorating on this hand I think maybe some blue glass maybe do some bubbles maybe some other like fake water I don't know need something luckily when you're building in the shopping district generally nothing is Out Of Reach and I think eo's glass shop is exactly what we need let's see two diamonds per stack all right sure we'll get some dark blue and and does he have cyan oh yeah over here he he has no cyan well what the heck he scar hello there hello there doing some glass shopping here J yeah I have to finalize the details on my shop oh you're building the Trident shop out there yeah it's a trident shop have you seen it did you know what it was by just looking at it first glance well I've saw that there was a St statue being formed and was in its stick form and I was like right I'm I'm getting gem Vibes I'm getting gem Vibes and then today I was like oh yeah that was gem that was gem that was really cool oh thank you thank you yeah that was me I'm have to apologize here um preemptively mhm Just Over Yonder where that scaffolding is there will be a giant death St what's a death star I'll Google it hold on you just give me a second and I'll figure it out myself don't even don't even stress Death Star uhhuh okay big circle I see I see where where'd he go where where'd he go it's okay it's okay I see it now I got it yep Circle there's more to more to it but that's okay I don't know is a low scar I don't I don't know have you never seen Star Wars Joe no only in bits and pieces oh no I'm sorry makes me sad yeah oh frog lights I'm going go need some time I'm going to I'm going to need some time he he locked off no ah we will have to watch Star Wars for scar soon could be a good uh summer marathon thing to watch perhaps anyways got my glass let's go back to my statue okay now couple of things things first of all I think I want this to be a barrel chests are just kind of annoying Barrel right there and then also we put a bunch of glass here and we have glass kind of hanging off of the hand making it look like water is overflowing in more spots than just like where the actual water is if that makes sense I was also kind of thinking I wanted something a bit more vertical here to kind of match with the Trident Vibe on that side so maybe some bubbles huh what do you think okay bubbles they're very Square I don't hate it I don't hate it it's not the worst now let's work on the water streams oh also I've got about a million signs around here just to make sure the people can find the hand I'll also write a note in the hermitcraft Discord cuz I know this is not a typical spot for a shop but hopefully people will be able to find it and it's at least a little bit intuitive maybe okay now the hand looks like it's overflowing with water power oh I like it I like it a lot I kind of wish that this was in my base and not in the shopping district but that's okay maybe I'll just have to rebuild it at some point it's so cute now of course uh the back the back is it's it's it's a work in progress It's a work in progress and also there's still a lot of space within this build to do other things but we need to do a coral and pickle shop still so you know there's other things to be done in this area for now now I'm going to go ahead and bring all this home stock that shop message the Hermits and call it here for today this was good very productive day hopefully we'll be able to make some Trident sales now gosh that looks good as a distance all right perfect goodbye everybody
