here okay like luke is just all out there i'm so sorry i'm a little bit anxious actually because he has a massive voice and it's working out how my voice is going to fit into that that's terrifying my well first of all i'm extremely proud of both of you you're kind of like on two different ends of the spectrum you have hugh luke who is very polished it's almost perfect and then you nicole you remind me a lot of myself you know it's like i wasn't trained i just woke up singing and i don't even know how i do it you both are amazing i'm gonna go with nicole [Applause] the song i would like you to try is because of you by my girl kelly clarkson i'm very happy it's not just an incredible song it's a story you are so used to being a character but what i would love for you to do is to tell your story don't worry about getting it perfect just like let it kind of come out of you it's a really scary thing to be so vulnerable on the stage so i've just got to connect the lyrics for it to work [Music] can i come in okay yeah i'm turned that's we good to feel you those moments of what's beautiful because it's real and relatable when you put your heart in it you become so much more you got a bit emotional in the rehearsal the lyrics are so powerful i feel like the song was made for my mum she has been the most supportive for my whole entire life god i'm gonna start crying again deliver how that song was written again the person who composed that is probably like and that's how you're supposed to perform it the thing that i was looking for was not so much of the perfect vocal performance but i wanted to feel your heart and i wanted you to tell the story and i wanted it to be led with emotion and you really truly achieved that and i am the unproud of you i feel like you're my baby sister or something i could stay in my comfort zone and sing a show tune or take a massive risk and show a different side to me [Music] nicole is singing dream on by aerosmith you're going to see a completely different side to me yeah in a rock chick but it's the semifinals go hard and go home i want to feel the rock and the song it's just so proper and polite and together and this song requires the opposite every time [Music] everybody's got the tools in life [Music] you know it's true all the things come [Music] back [Music] [Applause] [Music] wow that was a whole new site to you that we haven't seen before completely different and i hope everyone enjoyed it because that was more nicole so is that you yeah if i was to release an album tomorrow that would be my sound completely jennifer i feel like i just met you for the first time i'm like what's this girl on the stage um first of all i have to say you're really brave it's kind of inspiring to me at least to see you play the piano i don't know if you guys know this but that was her playing the piano which is aside and then it's like classical theater meets rock and rock meets there girl you just took us on a nicole
