in the land of bard Shire there was a beautiful palace it was home to the king and queen and their son Prince Joe was a wonderful example of a young man inside the palace there also lived a maid and her daughter Lucy had been a maid at the palace for a number of years she took the job after her husband died leaving her to raise their daughter Heather all on her own Heather was the most beautiful girl in the whole of Bard Shire it didn't show though her hair was always a mess blonde and flowing her clothes always looked shabby however Heather was a smart young lady she spent her days helping her mother and her evenings reading many books one night she was holding her mother's hand and asked her a question that had been burning into her soul for quite some time mother why do you have to work so hard in the palace Oh My Darling working hard is not a bad thing the only thing is I wished I could spend more time looking after you instead of looking after everyone else that's why I like to clean with you it means we get to be together more the Queen loved to have her friends round her friends would bring their daughters to play in the palace Sarah and Kate were two of the most rude girls every time they saw Heather they would pool her hair and push her over they would throw their food on the floor and try to get her in trouble for the palace being dirty a maid girl made girl you princess just like the amazing princesses in the books I read maybe then I wouldn't be treated like dirt oh but you were meant to be one just remember time always wins because no one can outrun time Heather turned around but there was no one there she screamed and ran out of the master bedroom she was already downstairs when she realized that she still had the dress on by that time the daughters of the Queen's friends had already seen her oh this is perfect you're done for now dirty maid girl quick go and tell the Queen she will be so mad the two girls ran off and left Heather crying it didn't take long for the Queen to arrive when she did she wasn't happy that Heather had tried on her clothes there is a reason that my clothes are kept in my wardrobe that's because they are my love beautiful dresses and I never get to wear one I promise I will make you a beautiful dress I will collect material and I will make you the most beautiful dress in the world weeks passed and Lucy felt better and got back to work Heather kept helping her mother with the work around the palace more weeks passed and the king announced that he would be throwing a party for Prince Joe mother please can I go to the party if my dress is ready I will be able to get in with all of the other girls no problem you must wear a mask my dear I will allow you to go as long as you wear a mask and you're back in our room by 10:00 p.m. that way no one will ever know that it was you at the party and we won't get into any trouble I will need your help tidying up after the party as well I promise I will be back in time Heather put on the dress her mother had made for her she would be the most beautiful girl at the party the masks that her mother had prepared for her it made her deep blue eyes stand out even more the final piece of her outfit was her watch that her father had given to her she was ready for the party from the moment that she arrived at the party everyone turned to stare at her the jealousy of every girl in the party was intense she called the attention of Sarah and Kate she looked familiar to them but they couldn't recognize her all they knew was that she was a danger to them getting to dance with Prince Joe they made a plan to make her leave early if you stand behind her with a glass of punch I will bump her into you and spilled a punch over her she will have to leave early and then Prince Joe will be all ours that he's such a good plan I'll go and get some punch despite the plan that the two girls had they never managed to do it Prince Joe looked at Heather he was enchanted by her beauty and made his way to her please may I have this dance it would be my honor your majesty the two danced for a long time it does only when Heather looked at the cloth that she anyone and he went home to bed depressed that he hadn't find the girl of his dreams the next day Heather and Lucy were cleaning up in the ballroom when the prince arrived with Kate and Sarah just let me try the watch on please it wasn't you I was dancing with I know what you were wearing last night and it wasn't you there's no point yes it wasn't me yes I won't stop asking until you let me try it instantly Sarah was shocked gods she's a thief quickly have her arrested the guards looked confused they had seen everything that had happened Heather did nothing wrong to be arrested she was feeling scared so she ran off into the kitchen Prince Joe quickly followed her please don't arrest me I haven't stolen anything I promise it was you wasn't it please try on the watch yes your majesty Heather put the watch on and it fit perfectly it glowed brighter than it had before you were the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life I felt lost when you ran away last night I never want to feel like that again please will you marry me oh yes yes your majesty you don't have to call me your majesty you can call me Joe you're going to be my wife it was then that the mysterious voice started
