Hearst Castle Upstairs Suites Tour in San Simeon

what's up guys Josh and Amy here from California through my lens comm and today we are exploring a different partner first castle Amy and I have been to Hearst Castle many times but we decided to come back again to check out the Neptune pool and to take a tour we had never been on we bought tickets in advance and showed up at the required time to board the bus and take the 15 minute ride up to the top of the hill we also got to hear Alex Trebek give us the history of the castle for the fourth time those options came West looking for easy riches after getting off the bus we met up with our guide saw a few glimpses of the Neptune pool and then went over to start our tour we're going up to the top of one of towers I don't want to give too much away cuz I want you guys to take this tour but here's some of what you can expect petyon said the upstairs Suites tour is about 60 minutes long and consists of over 330 stairs and three-quarters of a mile walking the first part of the tour is the second floor which featured many of the guest rooms for the guests that stayed in the main house [Music] from there the tour continues up and we got to see more guest rooms and then eventually the library which is one of the main reasons to go on this tour the library is an amazing stop on this tour as it has an ornate ceiling over a hundred ancient Greek vases and lots of books another flight of stairs takes you to William Randolph Hearst suite which is done in a Gothic style with another amazing ceiling and Marion Davies suite across the way which is also done in the same Gothic style the last stop on this floor is William Randolph Hearst personal library and it's one of the most impressive rooms in the entire house the last stop on the tour took us to the celestial suite right below the bell tower before heading all the way back down we saw a few more bedrooms on the way down and then we were left to explore the grounds until grabbing the shuttle bus back to the visitors center Amy and I took the time to head back to the Neptune pool is that was one of the main reasons why we wanted to come up to Hearst Castle today don't forget to check out the newly reopened net food pool the Neptune pool is really impressive and I can't imagine how it would have been to swim in it back in the day this way to the exit of course the last stop is always at the indoor Roman pool even though I've seen it many times always fun to be able to explore it again thanks so much for exploring Hearst Castle with us if you like to see the grand rooms tour click here otherwise go to California through my lens comm for more [Music] you [Music]
