Haymaker (Baer Plays Darkest Dungeon II)

welcome back everybody to darkest dungeon 2 bit of a salty ending the last time unfortunately but we're hoping to get some much needed Revenge yet again as we take on chapter 5 once more with a team that is very very exciting to use breacher leper to start off with of course we're already feeling pretty damn good about that but our aspirin finally returns to us with the bloodthirsty Quirk on top of that so we're looking at an additional 155% damage on anamnesis before trinkets even considered so that's going to be a lot of fun solois Jester and then a physician plague doctor is going to round out the party this time around a role that we certainly don't utilize all that much but we're going to be trying to get some more stuns involved this time around which come to think of it leaves fall never to grow again I'm go ahead and swap The Bash onto the leper for that too first in a SE gear I certainly wouldn't mind it thank you a bunch a CH in the for the hype train to start our day today lot of combo here try to set the leper up for something nice I'm thinking we try to bash this guy immediately and then we see just how effective we can be with this position today so let's go for this does get through the blind that time and that's an instant stun on the giant all right then that of course gives up our potential to actually kill something at this point but I'm pretty sure we got other ways to do that too the blind going there no more taunt this time but do have a block plus thankfully on our occultist as well to start things off this time around this team is just going to be token stacked from the get-go it's only going to get better from here good little proof of concept I suppose for the beginning of this mostly just kind of experimenting with what our potential looks like and I'm wondering I'm I'm I'm probably going to have to do quite a bit of um chaotic offering if we want to take full advantage of this team and as I was mentioning before the uh oncore into the catac offering followed by of course the median annesis definitely going to be a go-to for us here oh baby love to see it wonder if I have any execute on anything right now I don't think I do so let's just go ahead get through in the oldfashioned way I guess Frederick plush and Hoodie wind bear it's not a bad idea there is actually available right now I'll uh I'll grab the link in a second here but glimmers early on and I think I'll pick up one of those songs books too I guess I could have used the meditative totem but the negative quirks aren't particularly bad we mostly want to lock in the good ones although head injury I guess would have been a good one to get rid of now Frederick plushy oh baby yeah we could actually do that we demand you name the pet Frederick that's a great Point what's the most Frederick like of these pets probably the shambler spawn weirdly maybe the larel carryon eater crocodilian I guess kind of not we going to be doing a lot of shuffling in this team though I don't think shambler spawn is a very good idea sher's kind of similar the bird yeah those was the most bird like of them right let's go with the shrier chick sure that sounds fun additional feel like it would be better well here's the thing this speed isn't really going to affect him that much cuz he's going to be dazed at the beginning of combat for the most part any way I think this is going to be better on him for now but I do feel like that's probably better suited for the leper I'm mostly just want to get the anamnesis empowered as quickly as possible cuz I do love it so especially on a bloodthirsty Eon thank you for getting the gam going as well appreciate it here we go propriety floats listless on the tide brind in noxious degradation so we know that we don't have to take combat here in the first region but that does of course put a lot more pressure on me to uh take more fights later on I do think of Watchtower as a great idea for a first node honestly I feel like first node Watchtower you pretty much have to do but do it quickly just way too valuable yeah let's do itable information brings accurate Insight after all a very fun start for immediately through the loathing but could be worse I guess you're still in good shape put me in coach but literally right yeah that's actually I didn't I can't believe I've never conceived of that oh that that tickles me okay procrastination of the inevitable is futility itself so there's our Hospital which I absolutely want to go for we need to try to make some money prior to that thankfully we got a cash in a couple of Road fights immediately before it which is probably enough but the other issue here is the fact that we've got loathing everywhere oh my God that sucks although the thing is it's not as impactful here Despair and disorientation steal your mind as we pass through the void yeah run on the bastards beon again me can't can't deny myself the chance at the Lo fers conquering this what has become our our our foulest of demons here in darkest dungeon too look upon their Noble struggle and be humbled by it love the song bear send it to a bunch of my friends thank you skull I appreciate that a lot that helps a ton those liking the video all that trick in the algorithm stuff very much appreciated thank you think carefully today's oversight is tomorrow's regret I've won two BB runs so far but they were both Incredibly Close it's so hard I though decidedly inconvenient this is like at least we know what's coming somebody left a comment uh saying something along those lines actually or what I'm about to say anyway that it feels kind of like proper darkest dungeon again where up to this point now I I'm feeling pretty confident about any given normal difficulty battle like non- infernal flame fight in the first couple of regions like there's very little threat right the Loa a base yeah we maxed out loathing real quick it's fine it's not a big deal it's going to add 100 hit points to the already th hit point pool of the final boss problem is it not one of the least impactful ones for chapter 5 weird but anyway yeah like I think the bastards Beacon has become sort of like the de facto uh hard mode now and it's a great way to do hard mode in this game Sorry I also just realized my face is kind of position like it's it's I've been singing its Praises from the beginning of using it honestly where I feel like this is the um the perfect way to make things more difficult it feels like you're constantly riding the razor's Edge between complete success and a total wi 100% yeah and it is uh very exciting and I like it a lot I get salty sure but that's just part of the experience man that's just darkest dungeon the new star of The Chosen flame is also funny yeah I've yet to use even any other of the available infernal Flames like there's there's three or four other new infernal Flames I haven't done yet just because I'm having such a good time with the bastards Beacon so yeah big props to Red Hook for this I really like it collaboration confers Advantage mad as I got at them yesterday still having a pretty great time stress is getting bad already my goodness the BS are getting burned through real quick here incremental but deadly all the same speed is kind of an issue I guess all right finally get this going that's what we like to see spread it all around baby I definitely want to have play out now can we use play out on him s Myriad options require careful deliberation like I've wondered that before if you hope to heal you have chosen wisely I don't think he can use battle ballot on himself but I don't think that's the same for play out he can use it on himself okay that's good good old breacher baby uh exclamation point Beacon Jackson will tell you the nitty-gritty I think ounce is a good start especially while we've got this much stress not mind that at all and let's hit this one is going to be fantastic here this is pretty much how we should be starting most fights too this is ideal now what's your next ideal move probably just a disorienting blast right which even if it only lands a days in the vulnerable is still decent especially if we can do something like this I do think this might be even better but now I can't move forward can I so maybe I should H do this into a Fade to Black although that doesn't really seem all that helpful either yeah even with the buff oh duh and then I can't do my anamnesis that was kind of stupid okay um well crap yeah I'm starting to think even with the buff play out might not be the best option for regret buying that sapper felt like I might have that experience H the Tinker bench would have been good too oh no it's the scouting gear we need right yeah we need the trackers map let's pick that up so we can get the Boost from our um from our shrier everybody wants that money let's get it supplies this way if you can make it do need a lot of cash we still still are looking for a hospital to try to lock in these positive quirks cuz I really want to keep these things for the duration of this run breach I think breacher and bloodthirsty are one two on the priority list and then the others can hopefully we can at least lock in breacher that definitely feels like the most important some fries this way if you can make it weaken them that another May finish the work here we go oh yikes made a one point of stress across the board a seem to you coffee oh I got halfway through my thought there didn't I uh what I have noticed is that your PA flies through them and so they must fall the uh difference in my uh my my my daily quality of life is noticeably positive positively impacted by yoga in the morning not even extensive yoga like 5 to 10 minutes just stretch that damn body out dude just get down on the ground do a little downward dog get your hips twisting hell some meditation man that'll do it get up and get getting I thought these fights were de loathing I can never remember man it's like if you clear the layer you reduce loathing I'm pretty sure Oblivion encounters always reduce loathing I think there's a chance somebody can correct me I'm sure I'm sure somebody actually knows but I think it's like a chance for loading to reduce for like normal encounters as well okay we have Taun I have Taun but we were knocked back and they were only able to Target those ranks okay that's terrible it might just be a dead Jester that would be very uh unfortunate he's got a decent amount of death door resistance but uh this could be bad oh man okay I was ready for that sheesh let's just get rid of this for now we'll still be stealth after a Fade to Black oh boy that was terrifying you're stealth you're fine a small reprieve from this Carousel of Horrors we'll figure it out okay and then big heal probably I'm pretty sure he's just going to pass heal though this is very greedy but I do think it's the correct play oh he's defiant that's right okay I'm so smart I have such a can make all the difference um and then stab I think cuz I can kill her with seven damage yeah there we go I have taunt here okay that's fine well that went well and now we blind him a master stroke and then we'll just have to move up I guess yeah all right now we should pull so he can't use those things we still have the crit or not the crit the blind oh we have a combo too let's chop and then I'm thinking we got damage here from The Hurl bat death store weaken blinded taunt hell yeah all right no problem dude just had to survive the one death door check we are the flame Burning Brightly for all the world to see never wor yeah exactly it did clear the loing too okay cool so we can hit up the hospital now lock in that breacher and get rid of the disease maybe I guess that would depend on finding four more relics here wouldn't it maybe we'll get lucky we do still have to keep a sharp eye on the Loa after this we are still that one tick away but think we'll be okay oh dudee four
