[Music] those tragedies are in the past in the Bay Area today it is a magnificent day for football bright sunshine very little if any wins and that sets the stage for San Jose State against Hawaii I'm Jim Leahey along with Larry Gois and Larry this afternoon is a battle of quarterbacks for the University of Hawaii dan Robinson leading the Western Athletic Conference in total offense and Chris casteller for San Jose State Castelar is second and total offense in the WAC so it probably will be a game of how these quarterbacks perform if they perform well their teams will perform well yes and what they both quarterbacks need is support from their supporting characters for San Jose State they need Beyonce Whitaker number 21 their talented running back averages 102 yards a game they need all of that 102 for San Jose State and for the University of way they need the little things no drop passes but protection from the line the line throughout the years getting Dan Robinson a lot of time to throw the ball they need to continue that kind of come back from the little pressure the dam face against TCU but give them more time but the receivers need to hold on to the football many look at this game and say if Hawaii can run they can win it Hawaii averages only 81 yards a game and rushing but San Jose State is last in the league in defending the rush if Hawaii can find a rushing game a share of the WAC title and Larry it will come down probably to the performance of the two quarterbacks for Hawaii Dan Robinson who has already set a single-season passing yardage record he leads the WAC in total offense and for Fresno State Billy Bullock who has thrown 24 touchdown passes and only three interceptions the air should be filled with footballs tonight however it may be decided on the ground yeah both quarterbacks need help from their friends both quarterbacks need a running game and any protection from the offensive line the game will be decided on the offensive line University way led by Kelowna Noah and Fresno State led by Rob Cottrell their talent at left guard so the two teams matchup tonight both defense is very very much alike they play the same style blitzing zone blitzing they like to put pressure and so it should be an outstanding game for rainbow fans it has been almost a miracle I mean to think oh in 12 to a share of the WAC championship and only one year conference and again they lost today at UTEP now the numbers would suggest this may be a very high-scoring affair the Bulldogs are the highest scoring team in the conference averaging 31 points per game the Rainbows averaging more total yards on offense than anyone else at 414 yards per game so if you like offense you like high score on football I think you're in for a good one let's go back
